I just read about Chronic Lyme Disease and how some of your symtptoms can go into remission for a couple of years.

Only to be reactivated with stress or another type of illness.

I was shocked to my core reading this!

I've had Lyme symptoms for many years that would come and go.

Some of them stay and some come and go.

The joint pain & fatigue would come and go.

But in the fall & winter it was always more pronounced.

So, I was thinking that since I was a little stressed in early September when kids starting school that's when my joint pain and fatigue returned with a vengeance.

Has anyone read this also? Or has experienced the same thing?

Wondering if I have Chronic Lyme and does that mean I will always have it?

Thanks for your thoughts and input!

It's pretty hard to get rid of...but you can live a pretty normal life once you get it under control.

Many patients feel worse in the fall and spring. I don't know if it's just the changing of the seasons, or what. I never noticed those changes.

I think Lyme is always going to be hiding in our bodies.. but you can keep it down with healthy eating and a good lifestyle.

---I'm talking about after treatment--- I'm not saying that a good lifestyle will make it magically disappear!

Do you want the sugar coat? Well I know you want kindness, and deserve it, we all do.

Look, I have had lyme for many years. Lymetoo made some excellent points. Yes, I would definetly say there is chronic lyme.

You need to keep hitting it hard with the full arsenal of antibiotics, natural remedies you believe work (along with the strong antibiotics), vitamins, nutrients, avoiding simple carbs like bread and pasta (it gets easier the less you have), working out- very important, socializing, and laughing, having fun and-extremely important to me-prayer, or meditation.

Really, Lymetoo said it best: live a good lifestyle.

We're with you and care.

It's been my very PERSONAL opinion that Lyme never goes away. I believe that even those in remission are a trauma away from the POSSIBILITY of reactivation. That's just an opinion. I have no basis for that opinion.

I also believe that keeping ourselves in prime health will help stave off a possible reactivation of symptoms.

Regardless..we should all take care of ourselves to the best of our ability, staying as healthy as possible. Whether one has Lyme or not.

I'm not under treatment for Lyme..I treat with supplements and dietary changes. Supps to build my immune system. Getting the dx of Lyme has caused me to take better care of myself than I ever have!

And that's something we ALL need to do.
