I am new here, but NOT new to Lymes. Fist diagnosed in 1995, recontracted the disease again in 2008 and 2010. This last round has been the straw that broke the camel's back.
this past summer was hell and this fall is shaping up the same. Though I will say that after my third round of acupuncture (four gates) I am feeling slightly better aches and pain-wise.
Regarding depression, I must admit that I feel slightly better but this has onl,y come after 4 months of Effexor at 300mg!
Hope you all are well. As I said I am new here, I have not even lurked here before. Hope to learn a thing or too!

- Glad to hear things are turning around. And, it always amazes me at what Rx can have totally opposite reactions.
I'm glad Effexor works for you. It was the opposite in my case. It is what triggered sound sensitivity (hyperacusis) and a severe exhaustion collapse. But my adrenals were toast and had no support so the Effexor was just too much for my system. I hadn't even heard the term "adrenals" at that point. Had not yet been dx with lyme and 2 other TBD.
Hope your progress continues to look up.
I hope you are seeing an ILADS-educated LLMD to address infection(s). Even if you've been on that road before, really getting at infection - and keeping with it all the way - is vital to symptom clearance.
Regarding your treatment history - were you treated then by ILADS-educated LLMD? If not, you may have received inadequate treatment.
Were other tick-borne infections considered?
Liver support, too, is vital to the success of treatment.
Good luck. -
