Good Morning Everyone on God Thought,

Inspired by last week's thread...
"Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).

I started making a list in my mind, and it got very long, but here is some of it.

He is a healer and He is MY father.

sjo, I was so inspired by your list of "who He is" as you meditated on Him today...that I, too, wanted to join with everyone and share "something". Then I started with that A-Z Friend and well, I have to admit I cheated a little and looked in the dictionary.
He is all those things to me and so much more. I am especially thankful that He is my Friend. Who would die for us except our very best Friend?!!!

I got up this morning from a rough night of my heart pained. Not sure of where to begin my day, I decided to take a shower and shave my legs and meditate more on God. I asked Him to please guide me today because I did not know what direction to take today; I misplaced my compass.
So I come to God Thought and read Dekrator's scripture and I read Billy Graham link. It's just not registering to my brain cells. Sat for a short bit with nothing but guestion marks, and I said to God "This is it?" Not what I wanted, I left to go have my routine coffee run.
Still with my head hung low I go to my book shelf contemplating on what to read, I uncovered a card that Stefanie had made for me. On the front of the love card she had created, it read Psalm 31. In you O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be. I sat on the floor and began to cry. After I wiped my tears away I decided to put the card back; God would not let me, I found myself having contention with Father. NO! I did not want to look up this passage psalm 31.
I find myself on Bible Gateway...The first message that popped up was the daily reading; John 21-25 Do you love me...Peter? "All I am here for Lord is to look up Psalm 31!" So I read John. He Won. I asked Him, "Is this me Lord?" He said "Yep."
I read Psalm 31, re-read Dekrator's scripture, and I re-read Daisy's link, and I wept like a baby and I praised my Father. I am blessed by all that I have read. My friends on God Thought, have a blessed day. Diane

Good evening dekrator, I think when I was asking God for guidence, well I was wanting something big.... like move a boulder and this snot nosed kid (me) got skipping stones, and not pleased with the choice given. I am very blessed by what I read today. It is what God wanted me to focuss on. I need to skip my compass across the lake and learn to follow God's; let Him lead instead of me trying to bump Him off the pathway...because every time I attempt to pass Him...well my shoe lace comes untied and I trip.

Daisy I got this off a calendar from my mentor, maybe I could get a scripture prayer to go with it? Psalm 119:1-2 Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart.
back again..I was reading psalms 119:1-2 again...well it kind of already souds like a prayer.

Dekrator, nice scripture and song, will meditate on the scripture this afternoon. Thank you.
I spoke with my daughter last night. She is doing fine. Says she has been going to church every evening and got to speak to a crowd of woman and basicly told them to get there lives together, and they could if they let God in there hearts.
I am so proud of her. God has not left her side and she is not angry. Says she talks to Him all the time and knows that she has to fix her past in order to move forward.

She is already ministering to people!
She is making the best of a sad situation and that is truly wonderful.
She will likely come out of this a better person and feeling closer to God, wanting to please Him by living according to His word.

I was blessed by reading the posts between MDW and Dekrator. Wonderful and inspiring to see how God has used that situation with Stefanie and she is shining bright! God answered all of our prayers. He is so faithful!
MDW, awesome you were able to talk with her...that thrills my soul.
I have not posted since yesterday morning because we have friends staying with us and we've had a busy day. It's been a very good day. I am not upset about anything. No, you did not hurt my feelings. You are a sensitive person and that is a good quality...I'm good...very good! Thanks for being concerned.
I am so proud of you for meditating on the Lord, even though you may not have felt like it...and now we can all look back, since you've shared your heart with us, and see how God was listening and answering. What the enemy meant for evil and harm, our almighty God turned around for His honor and His glory and used for good!
Beautiful writing when you share, "I need to skip my compass across the lake and learn to follow God's; let Him lead instead of me trying to bump Him off the pathway...because every time I attempt to pass Him...well my shoe lace comes untied and I trip." Very well said. I can so relate.
When I get me...in the way of Him...it is just a matter of time (thank God usually not much time...as He so watches out for me) before I trip, falling face down. The good thing is that when I look up I find myself staring at His loving, gracious, merciful face...and He's smiling! Praise His Name forever!!!!
Dekrator, thanks for posting the Third Day song. Last year I went to their concert with one of my sons and his wife. It was great! I was so blessed by the music, the message, and by the Lord.
And the scripture from Isaiah 40:28-31 is one of my all time favorites, for sure. How much I need that. He IS my strength! He caused me to fly high above whatever comes against me.
Very encouraging words you share with MDW. I am so glad you were around!
MDW mentions a scripture prayer for Psalm 119:1-2, ok...well, first I should say that praying is just talking to God. It doesn't mean always asking Him for something...so this is my prayer:
Dear Father God, Thank You that Stefanie is walking blameless before, following your Word, being Your woman of God right there in prison. I pray that You encourage her and help her to continue to live a blameless life. Thank You that Stefanie has the opportunity to go to church there and that she is growing in her faith and shining for You. She obviously has a love for Your word, may she hide Your word in her heart and the enemy not be able to steal it away. Thank You for blessing Stefanie for keeping your testimony and blessing her for seeking You with all her heart...in Jesus Name. AMEN!

Just finished watching the Hour of Power. The worship was wonderful and the message inspiring.
Nick Vujicic, the young man with no arms and no legs (born that way) preached. WOW!!! He talked about "Life Without Limits".

Dearest Daisy, thank you deeply from within my heart the scripture prayer for Stefanie; it was beautiful. I wanted to thank you and Daisy for all the prayers you have said for my daughter. I am so very greatful for all you have given to my family. I am deeply touched by your scriptures, songs, prayers and your heartfelt words. I will get through this with time, and I am going to continue to grow with Christ in my life; I need to just bend over and pull the weeds in my garden more than I expected. Wow... which reminds me of a conversation I was engaged in with Father. Got a few minutes?....There is no true order in my words of chat so maybe you could be patient with me; Ok ready? Here goes....
Father I have filled my bucket after bucket with these tears of mine. I realize these tears are not just from today, but also tears of sorrow from years gone by, So I have placed these tears of mine in a rain barrel till the day my garden is dry......
second thought, yes they are flowing I can hardly keep up with them... Did you know that the waterwheel is an ancient device which used flowing water to create power? It was built for the freeing of hard work for women. Like the waterwheel, we water our consciousness with mental flow relating to Christ...to pray with our whole heart....
Another thought.... god says He plants good seeds and once the weeds are removed I can cultivate my garden; so I must take pain to water the garden so the....hmmm. so the fruit, vegies, flowers? do not wither, but bud and blossom. Lol this Ga. gal is learning to farm. So...The dry soil in me is lacking growth because getting water requiers effort. I have been lacking the essential element... WATER!! yes water. WOW!!! I can water my garden because I am NOT going to become absorbed nor consumed with weeds I cannot water.
Thanks family for allowing me to put my thoughts here, I hope I did not bore you. Are my thoughts making any sense? My rambling mind is tired now.

MDW, that was beautiful...your continuation of the word picture I started, "I invision the same smile and an arm reached out to stand me back up again." THAT is what my loving God does to/for me too!!!
OK, so...He picks us up, dusts us off (through the blood of Jesus) and heads us in the right direction as we follow Him and do His will (made possible by the Holy Spirit who lives within us).
It's a privilege to live for Him...It's just a little while and we'll be Home.
That was great when Nick shared "just a small while"...(100 years) just a small while. How true.
I was blessed by your "garden thoughts" that you shared. Yes, makes sense.
This verse comes to my mind, "Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy" (Psalm 126:5, NIV).
Dekrator, Sounds like a fun day. Pray the Lord gave you extra strength. I remember your grandson is the same age as mine. Seven is a great age. He is so blessed to have you as his grandma.
I was tired today so got a nice nap. It was a wonderful day of rest.

I'll watch the Hour of Power when I get a chance. I look forward to hearing Nick Vujicic speak again.
The Lord did give me strength to get through the day, in more ways than one.
Our grandson, Deven, who turned 7, is "all about sports" at this stage in his young life.
Last year it was dinosaurs...lol..who knows what next year will bring.
He especially loved his Derek Jeter jersey, the set of NFL penants and the set of mini NFL helmets.
Instead of watching cartoons now, he and his younger brother want to watch ESPN Sportscenter...go figure.
Kaden, age 4, was naming all the teams by looking at their helmets.

Judy is a single mom and Chris, age 20, is in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
Please pray that Chris can overcome the addictions, get and keep a job, let go of his anger and forgive his father for the abuse he suffered at his hands, and come to accept Jesus Christ as his saviour who can change his life.
Please pray that his mom, Judy, will have her faith strengthened and that she will be able to guide her son to know the love of Jesus Christ.

Dekrator, thank you for sharing the prayer request for your friend, Judy's son, Chris.
I know first hand that God does answer prayer and He sets free from addictions. My sister and her son were both addicted to drugs...
God did a miracle. They went through the Teen Challenge rehab program and are doing great. My sister is now in ministry helping women and my nephew is a youth pastor.
it is a thrill to see them both serving the Lord.

MDW, I am around...yup! FYI, I have more energy today. God a great nap Sat and Sun. So glad I do listen to my body...that's so important.
About the children singing Christian songs...I went to YouTube.com and typed in "Children singing Christian songs" and lots of options.
In the Christian bookstores they sale CDs of children singing Christian songs. I have several that my grandchildren like. Don't have the CD name with me right now.
I have started a God Thought thread for our new week.
