I am looking for some advice. My husband is showing signs of uninterest and is avoiding my health problems. It's the way he acts and looks at me when I say I'm not feeling good. He hasn't gone to any of my doctor visits except once last spring to my Neurologist. My gut tells me he's not there for me now and he won't be later. When things were really bad for me he didn't know what to do or say just avoided it. He doesn't handle his feelings or conflict very well at all. I feel so insecure in many ways. We have been married 8 yrs and of that time I have been sick 7. In a way I feel bad for him no one gets married thinking your spouse is going to be sick. Theres alot more to this but I just need to hear if anyone has some advise to share. thank you.

Ask if there is a Lyme Literate (LL) counselor that someone can suggest. Also ask your LLMD.
For yourself first, then (hopefully) for both of you to discuss the effects of chronic lyme on the relationship, etc. Professional help is very important.
It can help both of you build skills.
Also, if you husband would watch the documentary "Under Our Skin" and read the book "Cure Unknown" that would help a lot to offer foundation material. -

I agree with Keebler. I'd look for a Lyme literate counselor. It would help if you both went in and discussed the problem.
