I got the flu Friday. I have been battling Lyme for
almost 3 years. Just got positive test about 8 months ago.
Been on zithromax for a while. I take supplements
and vitamins. I have NEVER been sick since my Lyme
symptoms started 3 years ago until now!
Thoughts? Suggestions?

tamiflu? however i dont think it works after 48 hours of onset. drink plenty of fluids.

all the herbal things dont work well for me when i try them on colds but maybe u would have more luck.

this post would be more effective under medical questions.

question, if you got the flu on friday your fever should have broke by now and you should be noticing some improvement since it was 3 days ago. if it hasnt you may want to go to a dr.

Major pain has gone away. Chills and fever are getting better.
Tamiflu is not recommend since I got the flu Friday. But what is weird, is that this is the first time I have gotten any kind of virus, since Lyme. 3 years ago.

I know the flu is a virus, but could the fever and sweats help detox the Lyme in any way?

i went through a period of having lyme and not getting sick for over a year and a half. then in a 3 month period i got two 8 day colds. many here suggested that getting sick may be a sign that your getting better. ive since taken a nose dive.

seems to me like illness of anykind is rarely a good thing. esp the flu.

bhamvett,

I definitely think having a fever and sweats from flu helps. I was in a lot of joint pain before I had some viral infection last month and it disappeared while I had the infection.

We've been passing it around, too. We've increased our garlic, vitamin C and vitamin D. Feel better soon!

I would up the D3.

I take 5,000 IU in the winter and up it to 10,000 IU when I start having a cold or feeling something coming on.

Chicken Noodle Soup...homemade.

I had "something (flu/virus" a few weeks back and ate Soup morning, noon, and night. I craved it.

It helped!
