Hi all, just needed someone to listen as I've had about all I can take.
So sore from muscle cramps so increased the magnesium. I am just so distraught I can't explain it.
I've been crying all day since I know this is from the bartonella. Right now treating the babs, lyme and not much for the bart on using bactrim DS.
LLmd won't add bart meds because they interact with mepron, etc.
I feel like this will kill me. I know it won't but wonder when will all the symptoms go away? I only have a handful left and even those aren't constant. However, when they hit,,,omg.
Just needed to vent as I'm really on my last leg emotionally. night.

Oh, Janice, you sound like you are in a difficult spot right now.
I always gently remind my daughter to keep her eye on the prize, or the golden ring, if you will.
I have her imagine how she will be better one day and I have her think of things, or at least one thing, that she can see herself doing when she feels better. This gives her hope.
I also talk to her about her "happy place", a place she can sit quietly and imagine she is participating in...this takes some discipline and practice, but can be helpful...this gives her peace.
Oh, I am so sorry sweetness, it is a hard thing to endure, it is.
And if this note doesn't help, well you can know I am thinking of you.

Some days are very difficult. For me it is important to not judge myself on those days, and also to not think too much about the future on those days. I simply don't trust my outlook on my bad days.
Being sick is not a character flaw, but it is easy to feel overwhelmed and weak (physically and emotionally) when symptoms are flaring. I like the above notion of the "happy place," I do think it's good to try and get out of one's head on the bad days!
It can be tough to distract yourself when you don't feel well. I know when I am sick I can't enjoy my usual hobbies, and I can't follow plot lines if I try to read or watch a movie. I usually end up throwing in DVDs of stuff like "Curb your Enthusiasm" or other short episode comedies.
So I guess that's my advice, try and find some small simple distraction and wait until you are feeling stronger to think about the big issues. You'll get through tgis!

Dear Janice, I hope you are feeling better today. When you feel bad, take some deep breaths and feel good that you are getting help. So many aren't.
You are dear to lots of people. And you deserve to feel better and you will.

Thanks all. I went for a walk. Last night took a flexeril to help with the cramping. Big mistake as I feel loopy out in la la land.

I hope you feel better soon. You helped me during my rifampin craze and informed me it could do what it can do. You really helped and I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks again. I'm smiling now. Feel so much better. It seems according to my symptom tracker that Sat/sunday are tough for me.
On those days, it's not babs symptoms which i thought at first, more like cramping calves, feet.
See my llmd on the 22nd.

If you're taking Mepron, you could be experiencing depression from the med.. Mepron blues are quite common, but if it gets intolerable you might want to go onto something else..
