I was supprised to open my paper and find this. I didn't know they would do it. Just figured it would be too bold to be of interest. This article reaches four local cities here.
It's humbling to say the least, I've worked very hard in acquiring knowledge from research and others who suffer from Lyme.
Keep in mind, I've done my best. I'm recently diagnosed and what I wrote was what I thought would be the strongest points within the alloted amount of words permitted. Hope everyone has a good day!

Thx for getting your story out there! I'm sure it will help others. This is an Ohio story, so am hoping more Ohioans can make some comments there.

Way to go, horsehelper! I will put this out there for all the people on my Ld-E-list. I know it will inspire others to work with their local paper to educate for awareness.

Oh, may I humbly say, I am in tears! I am doing this for us all and I just told my hubby, I know this is going to break open something big.
If this Lyme lays me down for good, I'm going to do good before it happens.
I want to thank you all for your sincere support. This one person wants you to know that encouragement goes a long way!
I pray that my interview with Ch. 3 next month goes just as well. Interesting: May is Lyme month and that's when the medical reporter told me she wants to do this interview with me.
Pray for me, and hard!
I love you all, Dona

I've got a little start of a social/discussion group. Very small now. Someone read the story and lives one city over, she is interested.
This is good.

Thx for asking - today was actually a unique day for me - I got my positive test back five years ago, April 18, so I was feeling the impact of the anniversary of finally finding out. Long search over.
That's why this work is so important - we don't want to see people keep going through such a long time before they find out what's going on. So keep on with your communicating!

Robin, I agree totally. We have many who are suicidal over this monster of an illness. And who can really understand it more than us!
I wish every Dr. either personally knew someone or who had it themselves so they could sincerely know what we all go through.
It's the uneducated medical professionals that are damaging our early treatment for many patients, speaking of me. I am chronic, Dr. said I would be difficult to treat now.
Well, when life gives you limes, you make Limeade! or is it Lymeade?????

And, fyi, I educate every medical person I come in contact with. And their staff. Their staff is a captive audience - they can't walk out on me, like some doctors do! Ha!
One doctor tried to tell me there was no Lyme in California, and in 5 seconds, he found himself holding several brochures I had waiting under my coat. Go for it, I say - give them the truth, and smile!

17 Hens, thanks thanks!!!!! Delighted to do whatever I can. Just need to turn a sad situation into a positive, right.
Ark: Hi! Question for you or whomever:
I heard grapefruit extract might be good for parasites. I have an idea. What about taking a grapefruit and putting in the the food processor (making sure we get the skins), add baby oil and apply. It sounds good to me.
Skin so soft is good, isn't it?
Please help with a comment, I work with the horses more in the summer and I have a dog so I am in need of answers. I do have, right now, one bottle of "Off" in the home and one in the car, but I'd really like to go natural so it isn't so toxic.
Thanks all!!!!

I agree with Robin.
I believe it's actually Grapefruit seed extract and it's a liquid that you swallow. At least mine is. I've never heard of using it topically. It would take a lot of grapefruit seeds to cover a horse!
I've used Ambermin's Natural Source Bug Repellent and it sure seems to work. Reroofed the chicken coop (near where I got my sicktick) around brambles, next to bushes, under trees and had no signs of ticks. Do have to reapply every 2 hours. http://www.hopewellrx.com/shop/
Rub powdered Diatomaceous Earth on the horses. They might just love you for it as it would keep ALL the bugs away from them! http://www.earthworkshealth.com/
