Good Morning and welcome to the new God Thought thread for this week.

In light of the news of Osama bin Laden's death, I agree with Dekrator (who posted last time) let us be in prayer for our men and women in uniform and pray, too, that God would protec5t and bless the USA.

I thought Psalm 18:2 would be appropriate,

"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

We are not alone! Jesus is alive and He is LORD!

Praying you have a great week filled with hope from the Lord and His healing touch.

I can say that I am feeling so much better and, yes, I am following the protocol, at the same time, I KNOW your prayers are making the difference. Thank you, God Thought friends! You are in my prayers too!

Good morning friends!

Thanks for your thoughts you posted at the end of last weeks God thought thread.

Choices! I/we have to continuously think about choices....what to say...what not to say...to go or not to go somewhere....how to react...ect.

Lord, help me make the choices that You want me to make!!

I appreciate you posting Psalm 18:2.

Praying for our military and all the people of the world, for safety and peace rooted in God's love.


One question daisy...was Thomas also called Stephen? (referencing the scriptures posted Sun 5/1 on the last God Thought thread)

Wish I could send some of the rain we've had in PA in March and April so far, to you in OK!

The kids are not able to practice or play soccer at the AYSO field because it is so soggy all the time...it's a mess.

Dekrator & daisy thank you so much for your prayers. As I read/prayed I felt God's peace. He alone is in control of everything...from a litle tooth/jaw to Pakistan & Middle East.

I join you in prayer for our men & women and for America. 2Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

Thank you for posting the link to the CD where I could listen to the songs on last week's God Thought thread.

If I knew how to buy individual songs online and put them on a CD myself, that would be my first choice so I could pick each song.

I put pictures on CD's but not sure how to do music.

2 Chronicles 7:14 is great! You are right when you say, "We need God on our side....that alone is the winning side".

I do love that song, "Our God is Greater" by Chris Tomlin.

So glad you felt God's peace as you read and prayed.

DKat, sorry you have been in pain. God bless and heal you also friend.

Dekrator, it's warm and comfy here, sun shining and the birds are singing grand today.
I understand about what to say and not say...very interesting subject. One I question often. To say what is really on our mind but do not, because we have heart and wish to not harm, but to keep inside is a flaw of the heart. Repercussions or sin of the heart. Are they not both sins? To learn to be humble and to look at my many flaws. I think I prefer to keep my mouth shut than to live with guilt of being jealous, anger, etc., me a fool for inserting foot in mouth is not pretty. To choose...better to say sorry to God than it is having many to say sorry to.

Daisy, lesson from David might en to not spend idol time/relaxing except on Holy day. David was King and did not carry out his duties and fell into temptation of sin. Your pastor say..."You have six days between now and next Sunday, don't waste them." Might en keep me out of trouble. [Big Grin]


When I was reading Psalms, David was in his own battle of sorrow, guilt and shame. Correct?
So this leads me back to a read I had last week.
Proverbs 28:13
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

Once David was sorry and asked God to forgive him, did I read correctly, David rejoicing to God, no more guilt no more pain because God forgave him and he trusted in this? Did God give David mercy? If so, another lesson would be to trust in God that He does forgive and we must learn to forgive ourselves.

Dekrator, I downloaded free iTunes on my computer. Occasionally Staples or RiteAid will have iTunes gift cards on sale ($5. off $25.). I get those and add the credit to my iTunes account. Then when I want a song, it takes it off the gift card instead of my credit card.
Songs are .99 to 1.28/song.

Amazon also has songs to download. They will do it right to your iTunes file for you. It's easy to burn CDs then.

iTunes is nothing to me 'cept fun to listen to. I had Real on my old computer...it was about the same thing.

Just read God Thought. Great reads you all posted. Inspiring, encouraging, and keeping it real, too. What a blessed place to come.

I have iTunes too and buy songs from time to time. Technology today is amazing. With iTunes you can also download free sermons, blogs, etc.

Dekrator, Ooops that "Stephen" is a typo...I need to go back and change that so someone is not confused. Thanks for letting me know.

As always I appreciate you responding to others...with my schedule I don't always get back here as quickly as I'd like.

So glad you shared 2 Chronicles 7:14. Very needed at this time, I embrace it for my life today, afresh. AMEN!

MDW, God does give us wisdom what to say or not say, what to do or not do. Even His Word leads us. Then we have a choice to follow through on that or not. I am thankful for the times I didn't just do or say what I felt like...allowing God to have control of my tongue...Ha! I wish it had been every time, makes me thankful for a God who is full of love and mercy and very forgiving.

I learn from God's Word, including David's life lessons. I enjoy reading David's Psalms. Beautiful the way he can express what I feel, what I'm going through...Human, yes, we are. Human with the Treasure of the Holy Spirit living in us.

WOW that "Meet Me in the Meadow" is powerful. The author has such a gift for communicating God's truths in such a beautiful way. All of the blog is excellent, but I wanted to cut and paste this one part,

"As a believer, the testimony of God's love for me in Christ leaves me overwhelmed--

when I was unlovely, He loved me and made me new;

when I was unwanted, He chose me and made me His own;

when I was lost in my sin, He found me and forgave me;

when I was bound and condemned, He justified me and released me from my chains;

OK, On the last God Thought thread, I've changed the doubting Stephens to doubting Thomas. Sure hope I caught them all. What was I thinking? And seriously, I'm doing good. Ha!

"Then Jesus told him (Thomas), 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'" (John 20:29).

That's us! We're blessed...even though we haven't seen Him, we do believe.

daisy, I take great comfort in the 'doubting' Thomas story because Jesus still accepted and loved him. Thomas should have been with the others when Jesus came to them...it is so important to spend time together with other believers. I wonder where he was? He almost sounds angry/prideful when he tells the others he won't believe until he sees and touches Jesus himself. No to mention his insinuating the others were lying or seeing things... He had some humble pie to eat.

MDW, thank you for sharing the Meet in the Meadow link again. That is very good....that kind of love is so hard to grasp. It's so instilled in us to earn love...but God is love and He made us knowing all we would do and He still wants us to spend eternity with Him! I am so thankful that He is so patient to continually show us His love....

Dekrator~hope that all works well for you (iTunes). Worship music helps me keep my mind/heart on the Lord. Then I'm blessed.

Good Morning,

Reading through the Bible chronological-in today's read is Psalm 51. I really like verse 10. Of course, it is good for anyone, but especially for us.

"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

I like the word "steadfast" although it is not a word we use too often. It means "faithful" "consistent" not like a yo yo up and down.

"Steadfast" is possible by the power of the Almighty Holy Spirit who lives within us!

Our God IS GreaterEST!

DKat, great line, "I pray God will open our eyes to His love and our hearts to accept and share it." WOW and AMEN!

daisy~love it....what you write about steadfast... This morning I had Psalm 57 on my heart...
Psalm 57:7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.

9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.

....and you explain steadfast. I believe the Lord is telling me to keep my heart faithful/steadfast. That's good....because He will help me to do it.

Good morning!,

Do not mean to run over all thoughts above me...I will read in a moment then share. GUESS What? ha! you won't. Raced in the door to share with my family here. Wait a minute let me calm myself down so I do not have to chase my thoughts. I felt like I was driving a flintstone car and my feet just couldn't get here fast enough to share. Ok... Ready

Last week I had jury duty and missed out on Bible class, well this morn I go to the last Matthew class and there was no more. Pastor finished last week.

Anyway people were sitting at the table I say can I join and they say sure I can...guess what, it didn't even cost me a quarter to join membership.
Harmony says we will have bible study EVERY Tuesday!

I have so many questions, think, um here are a few....

1)What is 40 days after Easter?

2)What happened to Jesus 40 days after Easter? I thought He dissappered (sp?) 3rd day He rose again? He went to heaven right? then how come people see Him?

3)Acts 2:39 What is the promise?

4)Who are the two men in Luke 24:30 How come they did not recognize Jesus? In the bible it say they were "kept" from seeing Jesus, who was stopping them from seeing Jesus?

I have so much more but will save what I learned today for later if you like.

Daisy who is Thomas twin? Didymus means twin.

Daisy, I like 51:1 Have mercy on me, O God according to your steadfast love.
Faithfull Love, thank goodness for me.

51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

I like that one also, I got this visual of me on the yo yo string. hope soon to be more up on the rebound of that yo yo.

Daisy, what do the "a" and "b" mean in the Bible? I do not have them in mine. I have #s, "right3", then at bottom of page 3 means "steadfast", in bitty letters. I do not have a commintary? is that the word? in my book. For real. I do have a concordance.

DKat, I really enjoyed the video you share, grand pictures. I bet the song is beautiful also.

40 days after Easter is the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father.

After He rose from the dead, He spent some time on earth before ascending into Heaven.

He showed Himself to some people (ie: His disciples) before ascending.

when I re-read my thoughts, wow, there is a bunch of I and me in there, but I was just sooo excited, because fear of no more classes(outside of God Thought) meant possibly no more learning till Fall, and then I might en fall back into the old me. I had to share something that I read about:

When Regina was sick (the 11 year old who died recently) and even after her death, there were alot of bracelets sold (those rubbery ones for different causes) that say "Pray for Regina".

People are still buying them to support Regina's family.

Well.... a 4 year old (not my grandson) wore his bracelet to school (don't know which school it was) and was told he would have to take it off because it has a cross on it.

The school even called his Mom.

The 4 year old child's response was "But God loves everyone!"

He did not remove his bracelet. In fact his Mom said he wore it again today.

Don't know if that will be the end of the story or not.

I am proud of that little boy.

Dekrator, I'm proud of that little boy too. I pray the hard, dark heart that tried to make a child deny Jesus would experience the love of Christ and be set free! May God bless the "end of the story" with revival. (The child's name isn't David is it?) [Big Grin]

Well friends, it wasn't the end of the bracelet story.

Bryson's Mom just shared this:

"Well they (the school) took Brysons bracelet off and put it in his ''cubby'' needless to say i made a phone call and said if it wasn't back on tomorrow.. i was gonna have something done!! This is just wrong!!! I'm so upset and so is Bryson! He said mom they stole my bracelet!!! :0( "

Dekrator ~~ hmm, I hope Bryson's Mom doesn't wear her cross necklace when she picks him up from school :/ Sorry...not nice....couldn't resist. This is so ludicrous, why are they afraid of the cross. Cross = forgiveness through Christ, love and freedom...nothing harmful there.

Good Evening Friends,

Finally here. It's been a good day, a long day, and I thank God for the strength He's given me. Feeling good. I'm going to sleep good tonight. [Big Grin] [sleepy]

I've read all your posts. Listened to all the links, beautiful video pictures. Awwww, very relaxing, inspiring.

And then Bryson. Give me a break...four years old! I'm going to be praying about this situation, may God be glorified. May He give the parent's wisdom in this situation, and raise up Bryson to be a powerful child of God (like Daniel was in the Bible).

As I read your posts I couldn't help but think how God is answering our prayers even before we ask. Lord God you are so merciful and faithful. Thank You!

Thinking about Bryson reminds me of one of the first prayers I learned as a child...

Today is the National Day of Pray.

DKat posted a very appropriate scripture a few days ago, 2 Chronicles 7:14,

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

God, I thank You that I am Yours. I belong to You. I need You. Forgive me of my sins, especially for not seeking Your face as I should. Draw me, stir my very being, give me renewed passion, and not only me but every American, Lord, that we would love You with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength...and love others with Your love. For Bryson and all the little Brysons, in Jesus Name heal America once again.

Will try to answer a few questions,

MDW, you asked what the "a" or (a) (or other letters) means when you are reading the Bible or verses. First of all because the Bible verses are numbered, the system used to make comments, etc is letters, if numbers were used it would be confusing.

These comes to my mind.

If, for example, it reads, Psalm 23:1a ... it means the first part of the verse...

"The Lord is my shepherd"

If it says Psalm 23:1b ... it means the next part of the vers ...

"I shall not want."

If it says something like this in the verse,

"The Lord is my sheperd I shall not want (a)"
That means somewhere, usually at the bottom, or wherever notes are listed...that there is a note, it is labeled (a) and explains something or shares something like this ...

(a) The good shepherd, see John 10:11.

Is that clear as mud? [Big Grin]

Good morning friends! I've missed you all.

My mom and I made it home safely late Sunday night. I've spent the past several days trying to rest and recover from the long trip.

It was good to be able to meet with my LLMD face to face (rather than the typical phone consults). I'm excited to be starting a new treatment protocol. I already started taking the detox and immune support supplements, stopped my old meds a couple days ago, will start the first new med today, then gradually add the others. I really hope that this protocol will bring relief.

I also saw a neurologist and had some testing done last week. It looks like he is trying to rule out other causes of my symptoms (besides Lyme and Co's). Results won't be in until late next week so we'll have to wait and see.

Do any of you all have pets? I love animals. I've had all kinds of different pets over the years. My little black cat has not left my side since I got home on Sunday. It's so sweet to have such a warm welcome home.

I'm breaking this up so that I won't get too long and boring.

Dekrator, thank you for sharing about little Bryson. I'm glad to hear that his mom is standing up for him. It is his legal right to be able to wear that cross bracelet. It represents his belief and his wearing it is not interfering with the education of his classmates.

So many people have this false idea that children are not allowed to express their beliefs in public school. That's wrong. Kids can carry their Bibles, wear crosses, talk about God, pray out loud, write papers on their beliefs, debate and share their opinions, etc...

Thank you all for praying for me over these past couple weeks. I am sooooo grateful. God IS listening.

You all have shared so many great verses and prayers over these past couple days. It is encouraging to be able to come and read and join in.

It's interesting that Daisy mentioned Psalm 23 as an example above. It stood out to me so I thought it might be good to share.

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my(A) shepherd; I shall not(B) want.
2He makes me lie down in green(C) pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.[a]
3He(D) restores my soul.
He(E) leads me in(F) paths of righteousness[b]
for his(G) name's sake.

For the longest time I did not understand this passage. I found it disturbing picturing myself as a sheep being made to lie down and then led through the valley of the shadow of death.

I don't know if I never fully paid attention to the words or what. I guess it's all in God's timing. One day I read that passage again but it was totally different. I couldn't believe how I misunderstood it for so long.

It truly is comforting. I want God to lead me, I want to follow, He does provide for us, He does protect us, He comforts us, blesses us, gives us mercy, restores our souls...

Thank you Lord, Thank you.

So glad you and your mom have arrived safe.

Excited for you and the protocol you'll be on. May God add His favor and healing touch! We don't have any animals at this time, but it is interesting how sensitive they can be and seem to know when something is not right.

About Psalm 23, that is funny...I just "picked that out of thin air" so to speak. WOW, great example of all those letters and stuff.

I heard a message once on Psalm 23. It was amazing. I learned so much about sheep. Did you know they are very afraid of water? Yeah, because if they get wet, their wool is so thick, it quickly absorbs the water, and they will not be able to move, the water will just pull them under.

The shepherd leads them beside still waters, calm waters. For some reason I really loved that picture.

Thanks for sharing on Psalm 23.

Hi everyone. Just a note to say hi and reading your posts. I don't have much to offer with scripture, but I do believe and try to have faith especially with feeling like the way we do. My dad is having a procedure that is risky for his age. He'll be 85, god bless and he's under the assumption his leg arteries and veins will unclog and he'll be able to walk like he used to before his stroke. Truth is, his arteries are so hardened, they might not even be able to put a stent in his leg, which would result in bypass he won't survive or amputation. One day at a time. If you can keep him in thought and prayer. Thanks. God bless.

Dekrator, I came here before hoping someone posted a good worship song video. You did it again. Thank you ~ that was beautiful.

The scriptures & song is perfect, too. I needed the perfect love cast out fear reminded...the words of your song did that.

Too tired to think....was tired before the epsom salts bath....now....must sleep & heal.

Lyme in Putnam, I'll be praying for your dad too.

Will you all please pray for my mom tomorrow? She's scheduled for surgery in the morning to repair 2 throat defects. She stops breathing often and chokes in her sleep, it is scary to hear this happen. I'm sure that the lack of oxygen and poor sleep are affecting her total health more than she knows.

So if you will, please pray for her as she has surgery tomorrow morning and as she recovers. Hopefully I'll feel OK enough to be able to go see her tomorrow afternoon and help her when she gets home in a few days. I love my mom so much, I just wish I could help her more, that's my responsibility as her daughter...

Thank you all. I hope that you sleep well tonight and wake up feeling better tomorrow [Smile]

sammy, I, too am praying for you mom. May the surgery go well, minimal pain, and your mom heal very quickly in the almighty Name of Jesus. Looking forward to another good report from you. Peace to you and your mom, especially may He give you peace about what you can/or can't do.

Just imagine all the people that could do for their mom and dad, but don't. And here you are doing what you can. I'd say that's something to celebrate! Peace my friend. Like Dekrator said, "You are a great daughter!"

I did feel blessed today by the Holy Spirit at church. I was the first one there ( I had to take my grandson to school today, so I was early).

I knelt to pray and had a sensation of being so close to God because I was there alone in the church.

It wasn't long until someone else entered the church.

I had never experienced that before, being all alone in the church to pray. It was beautiful.

I am happy to pray for you. Come here as often as you can.

I know it helps me too.

It is normal to be confused by a new site such as lymenet when you are new to it....I was also confused for awhile.

Let me see if I can explain a little about how this site works...


On the "Flash discussion" page (also called "Forum Home") there are several different lymenet boards.

There is a board for Seeking a Doctor, a board for Activism, a board for General Support (that's where the God Thought thread is), a board for Medical Questions, a board for Off Topic discussions and a board for Computer Questions.

If you want to ask a Medical Question, you would post it on the Medical Questions board.

If you need some support and want to post a new topic related to support issues, you would post it on the General Support board.

People looking for a Dr, will create a post on the Seeking a Doctor board.

Posts about getting involved with activism/lyme awareness are on the Activism board.

There are different ways to jump from one board to the other.

At the bottom right of each board's page you will see a drop down menu that says "Hop To":

You can click on that drop down menu and choose which board you want to go to and then click "Go", just to the right of the drop down menu.

Or another way to hop from one board to the other is to go back up near the top of the page and click on "Forum Home" (it's in small letters right under "Post Reply").

That will take you back to the Flash discussion page where you can then click on what ever board you want to go to.

Another way to go back to the Flash discussion page or forum home, is this...

Lets say you are on the General Support board reading posts and you want to go to the Medical Questions board...

You can also get there by going up near the top of the page...just above the first post...and click on "Questions and Discussion". that will take you back to the Flash discussion page also, where you can then click on another board.

So you see, there are different ways to navigate from one board to another.

Now....about God Thought....daisyrlb starts a new God Thought thread (or stream) every week...or within a few days of the new week, depending on her schedule.

She puts the dates of that week in the Title of that God Thought thread....like this week it says "God Thought 5/2-5/8/11"

It makes it easier to read the newer posts that way...since God Thought would be a hundred pages+ long by now if she didn't start a new thread each week.... [dizzy]

I hope this helps a little.

Just ask if you don't understand and I/we will try to explain further.

The longer you are here, the easier it will get....but I understand about lymebrain. [Big Grin]

I tell you, if one misses a day here or two, one can get behind on some great read. I think I caught up with all that has been. I pray for all those who have asked for prayer and even if you have not asked you ARE in my prayers.

Dekrator, I am so pleased you were blessed and quite an experience to have alone time with God in curch this morn I'm sure. You have shared some beautiful thoughts the last couple days. I was touched by your thoughts of "I will not be afraid, I will look upward and travel onward and not be afraid" I am fine friend, just been real busy. How has the "new" bible you bought been treating you?

Daisy.. No it is not clear as mud with the A,B, C's because I do not have them in my bible. thank you for praying for lil ole me.
I really enjoyed reading all the Psalms...wow, the ones that stand out for me "today" are...

Psalm 138:1,3,8.. 1. I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart. 3. On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased. 8. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.

Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart! try me and know my thoughts!And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Psalm 145:2-3 Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised
Psalm 145:5 On the glorious splender of your majesty, and on your wonderous works, I will meditate.

145:8 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
145:18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.

I just absolutely love reading Psalms.

Dekrator, Thank you, yes, my day has been going very good. I've gotten lots accomplished. The beginning of the month is especially busy for me.

Sounds like a wonderful experience being all alone at church...just you and the Lord. WOW! And then someone had to show up...Go figure! Ha!

Kind of reminds me of the way life is. Some days I could just stay in my Prayer Closet with the Lord but then I'd lose my job, we wouldn't have clean clothes to wear, the house would become a mess, etc, etc. [Smile]

God is so good to be with us everywhere...even, and especially when we don't feel Him.

So glad you explained to rhody about getting around Lymenet. That was really clear. I even learned something...that "Hop To" I've totally overlooked that. Thanks. Imagine all these years I scroll all the way back up to the top...I wonder how many hours that equals in my life? [spinning smile] [bonk] [lol]

My golly it's Friday night, not even 6pm yet and I'm already getting silly. I guess today has been too serious of a busy day. It feels good to wind down.

hi all, Dekrator~how awesome that you met with the Lord in church. That close-alone time really puts everything (ie pain/problems) in perspective.

Several years ago I was able to help clean a church and I loved to pray alone there.

I've been praying for Sammy & her mom and Lyme in Putnam & dad. As I'm praying for some pain/problem in my life or some praise for a beautiful thing the Lord has shown me, I pray for you all.

I hope I get to have more alone time in church...it was fantastic, as you know from your own experience.

I might have to start going there during off times...lol.

If anyone has never experienced being alone in church to pray, it is awesome! I felt like I had the total attention of the Lord!

Now... I know that sounds wrong because our Lord always listens to us, but there was something special about being alone in His house with Him.

Thank you all for praying for my mom. Her surgery went well today and I was able to spend some time with her this evening.

The doctor said that she will have severe pain in her throat for a couple weeks then it will gradually get better. She will be on a liquid diet for 3wks! I was surprised to hear that.

Usually I am the one that takes care of my family members when anything medical comes up. This is going to be difficult because my mom's been the one really helping me lately.

Hopefully I will tolerate my new medicines well and I'll start feeling better so that I can take care of her and do all the housework. I'm pretty worn out tonight but so relieved that the surgery is over.

sammy ~~ I'm so glad your mom's surgery is over and she's on the road to healing/restoration.

Lord, we pray that sammy's mom's healing will be so quick and painless that the doctors will be astonished. Jesus be glorified! And please, touch and strenthen sammy to help her mom through this time, and to have the wisdom to know what to do/not to do as she, too, heals. May this time be especially blessed with your peace and love.

When you get back in church alone, it's such a blessing to spend time praying for the pastor and the congregation...

I read a teaching on the prayer closet that explained when Jewish men brought the prayer shawl on their head, it could close out the world and give them privacy with God...thus the closet....

My friend has a special green chair she uses as her 'prayer closet'. The only special thing I can see about the old chair is that she spends her time studying and praying there..

I agree with you about daisy's post ... gently friendly. I look forward to reading what you all post here everyday.

It's a quiet relaxing evening at home tonight. I'm glad.

Dekrator, Awww there you go again...encouraging all of us. [Smile] OK, so my "Prayer Closet" is not a closet at all.

In Matthew 6:6 in the King James Version of the Bible it reads, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

So that is the Old English language...newer translations use the word "room" instead of "closet". Anyway from that term "Prayer Closet" has come to mean THAT regular place where a person meets with the Lord.

The house we live at now, my "Prayer Closet" is the front porch. Yeah, for real. When it is cold, it becomes the couch usually.

Have fun tomorrow with your friend going to yard sales and then to Deven's game. Sounds like fun.

I love KLOVE. Yes, that is a beautiful song. New to me.

sammy, glad for the good report. Praying you get some much needed rest tonight. Even a totally healthy person can be wiped out after what you've gone through the past week...and especially with your mom.

Sammy... beautiful song you posted I have only heared it a few times...Great line, "Whoa! how he loves us". I am praying God gives you the strength to take care of your momma and your new meds work out for you friend. It's going to be ok. Sometimes we can be surprised just what we are able to do when we must.

Dekrator, I enjoyed your song also,"If we ever needed you" you alsmost brought a tear to my because this song reminded me come Monday morning I will be leaving around 5am to join with a neighbor heading to Alabama to help with the Hispanic Tornado relief.

Well, it's Mother's Day weekend and this verse comes to my mind,

"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth" (3 John 1:4).

Truly that my children are walking in the truth of God's Word and following the path that He has for them is the best Mother's Day gift of all. I am blessed indeed.

I pray that God will deliver you from your agony...and that He will heal you and bless you in ways that you cannot imagine!


I found a few small things at yard sales today...we only went to about 8 of them.

It's early in the season here. During the summer, on a Sat, we may go to 25-45 yard sales in a day.

Found my grandson, Kaden, 2 nice pr of shorts, one pr of pants and one shirt.

I also got a book,for me, called "God at Ground Zero"....stories about things that happened there.

Judy and I had some laughs along the way.

She is struggling with taking care of 2 elderly parents, being a single woman with a drug addicted 21 yr old son who lives at home, big financial stresses, health problems, ect., so she enjoys our time out to get away from all that.

Well, I better get some things done before it's time for Deven's ballgame.
