Hey from NC....
For the Netflix illiterate, do you need to join Netflix to watch it on the computer, or what?
Can it be sent the old fashion way, by mail, or do they not do that anymore?
I found their website, but an experienced voice would be easier to follow.

normally can get a free 3 month membership. we get one at a time by mail as well as streaming. Since I am almost bedbound all the time unless at the doctor and Lyme took away my ability to read books (cannot follow plot or remember page to page, only can comprehend short passages- I was such an avid reader too). Netflicks was a good deal for us though plans changed a lot recently for new enrollees I've heard. We only pay 9.99 for both streaming and the one at a time by mail. I think you can buy just streaming, or mail plans now. Our weekly date is usually watching the mail DVD from our bed each week, so the membership was cheaper than video stores though they have become scarce recently. Redbox would be more complicated for us as we never know which night during the weekend I'll even be up to this.Recently netflicks takes longer to get new releases. I have complained and was told that some of the distributors were refusing to sell to them as early. But I noticed that even after they get one in now they must not get as many because we are waiting so long now.I have been waiting for Secretariat forever and they have had it months. This never happened. It is still a great deal in my situation. But there stock and profits are up. I think they are choosing not to buy as many DVDs. Since my neuro breakdown with Lyme, I can only get to sleep at night by watching something soothing on TV, DVD, or computer. That is when I CAN SLEEP at night at all. There is nothing soothing on TV at 3 in the morning. I use to watch steaming off laptop near my bed but son gave us device and now stream to TV usually. On positive side, while it is harder to get the exact DVD by mail as fast, they are adding so much more to streaming. TIP- If I want to see something on streaming that isn't available I put it way down in my mail Q and they notify when it comes on streaming. Sometimes -3 times last month movies in my top 20 request will go on streaming before I get by mail. I was notified immediately when UNDER OUR SKIN went to streaming.I'd rather be cleaning, or anything else, I have a great family and 5 beautiful grandkids . But this is my reality. I am isolated and TV is my comfort. Aint LYME GREAT?
