...because they said they no longer treat chronic patients and from the information I submitted to them they have determined my case is chronic. Wont say chronic what but they will not see me. Now what?

It sounds like they are getting pressure from somewhere. Doctors who say this tend to be the ones who are being persecuted. So, if they perceive a threat to their license, then they back off treating chronic cases. That is the whole point of the doctor persecution that has been going on for years now. If they take away licenses and threaten docs, then none of us get treated. That is the objective.

The next step for you is to try to find another doc. And you should be telling the PA support group leaders about this experience because they will know if there has been stepped up persecution in that state.

Where is Mt. Joy? If you go to "Seeking a Doctor"
by scrolling down the "Hop to: box below on your right, you can ask around there for another good doctor in your area. Just be sure to put PA on the subject box there.

Thank you both! Sadly the LLMD that turned me down was the closet and the only one I found that takes insurance. The others that I might be able to see (hateful waiting times) are at least an hour away if I am lucky and don't take insurance. I cannot afford to pay those prices out of pocket. I live from paycheck to paycheck as it is.

I was not aware of the hop to box either.

Now, that you mentioned the doc takes insurance it makes sense. Sad but true.

Keep knocking on doors.

There might be a yahoo lyme support group for PA??

How do you use Go without using the Hop To:????

I always use the Hop To, then Go. Are you trying to confuse me Tutu?

Jon, I'm so sorry for the stress of this. Horrible!!!!

I hope you find a PCP or Internal doctor that can help you. It doesn't have to be LLMD. It could be doc with 1/2 brain on lyme and you tell him/her what you would like to do abx wise?

Doctors are tools. This LLMD wasn't for you. Don't waste energy on feeling rejected. I hope someone can help you find 1/2 doc.

Come on in PA, there has to be a good doctor for Jon!!!!!! That takes his insurance too!

Pam

map .. Look here in GS where the "hop to" is ... click on the little arrow there. It will give you the option to go to whatever forum you want. Then click GO.
