Please forgive me...this is long but I have to get it told...

I am up at this hour getting ready to go to florida from ohio to see my last child graduate from high school. He was headed in the wrong direction so I sent him to live with his father...good thing...he is graduating and all signed up for college. However, I am feeling sicker and sicker. Nausea, headaches, dizziness, my knee went out today for about 15 minutes, more "bites" which I know now are EM rash, I'm frequently discombobulated, forgetful, extremely nervous. I feel desperate and alone and DOOMED. This is a plea for help...suggestions...prayers...anything that can help us...hell, I'm ready to go down to the drug house (wherever that is...lord) and try to buy some antibiotics!!!

We are actually dying over here!!

This is what happened around Mother's Day...

I went to sleep on the loveseat in the basement. I have my tv and whatnot there...It's my hang-out spot. I woke up and had some strange bites on my ankles and stomach.

Hmmm...mosquitos?...spiders? FLEAS!...strange but ok...perhaps somebody visited and their dog had them...I have no pets. Just me and my daughter (21) live in the house.

The next day my daughter (21) said "mom, I have bites too...

OMG! ran to store to get powder, spray, bombs. Did all that and the next day we were itchy and grossed out. But things seemed to be settling down. Good for a few days. The bites were going away.

Then it all started back up again...we seemed to be covered in creepy crawly things from head to toe. But have not SEEN anything...some ants maybe, a fly perhaps. I cut off my hair and washed in in RID. I washed all the bedding clothing...took shower after shower.

More "bites"! One of them got swollen and hurt...and I felt kind of funny...just not well...or like I was coming down with a slight cold. I went to Urgent Care they said...Hmmm, put some hydrocortisone on those bites. Not scabies...Not lice...but don't know what.

The next day I got a "bite" that looked just like a bullseye...exactly...it hurt. I went to emergency. They said it might be bed bugs ( the nurse had on full hazardous waste gear from head to fingertips and toes and stood across the room. The doctor said it is something fungal and prescribed four different things including some kind of steroid and said to go to a dermatology clinic.

I did the next day and they acted like I was some nut crying over a couple of mosquito bites. The doc said don't take those prescriptions, you don't need them and here is one for some strong itch cream...something is biting you and you should get your house exterminated or move!

The exterminator came and did not find any infestations...He looked fromt he basement to the attic, checked all the beds and the enclosed back porch...he saw some spider activity, a knat, and ants. He set some traps and said he would come back in a week to check.

I'm feeling sicker and sicker and on the internet like crazy...lyme disease keeps coming up. Huh? So now I'm thinking that the doctor at the emergency room was onto something and I tried to get those prescriptions back. Went back to emergency and another doctor said...those are bites get the itch cream. I said ...could this be Lyme disease? She looked like a light bulb came on and said...Let me check if we do that test...no we don't...go to the clinic in 3 - 5 days and they will refer you.

From then til now my daughter is mentioning symptoms everyday...ma, I feel nauseated...ma, I keep having a headache, ma,I think I'm getting some kind of rash.

When it was just me I didn't tell her anything about Lyme Disease...she would freak out and be ridiculously worried. I still haven't told her.

Now it's her too and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!

God can somebody help me????????? We're dying????

And all we need at this point is some antibiotics??????

Is this really happening??????

My insurance is relatively new and I don't have a primary doctor.

I've been in touch with a LLMD but they are 6 hours drive away and don't have an appt til august!!!!

Dear God...please help us...can anybody tell me what to do?????????????

I'm sorry...I'm going crazy here...sorry so long.
Please pray for us

Preferlemons...We all get crazy when we are ill and don't know what is going on with our health, so you are in good company.

You have an appointment with a LLMD in August, so this is good.

The steroids are NOT good to take if you have or suspect Lyme Disease.

Did you take, or could you take pictures of the bites?

We have a prayer chain here on Lymenet...it is called Christian Believers and there are some of us who pray daily for those who ask.

Maybe you can ask around...people you know...and find out what doctor/s that might prescribe some antibiodics for you and your daughter. There is a couple doctors in my area that are more inclined to listen to their patients and do give out abxs if the patient is concerned about Lyme...but you have to ask around and see which one/s are the path of least resistence and we know only by word of mouth...they don't advertise that of course.

I think that you can abxs out of Canada without a script...but I have only heard about it...others will know more about that.

It will be okay. I know it is no use for me to tell you to calm down...so I won't. [Big Grin]

Others will be of more help...so hang in there.

Sue

its hard to say don't panic, but you're doing what you can do. Maybe the LLMD you made the appt with can get antibiotics to you before August. If you explain to them what happened, I can't imagine them not putting you on something, it depends on the doc but maybe he'll understand and help. God bless. You'll be ok.

You can order doxy for dogs somewhere. I saw a post on it. I'm serious, really serious. I met a guy in my support group today that has been taking Doxy & he orders for his pet store. It's over the counter but don't know the name, but it's the same thing people take. This is not a joke.

hmmmm...I had a melt down. thanks for responding folks.

I actually don't have an appointment for aug. I have NOTHING!

The doxy for dogs would be great if my insurance would pay for it.

The doctor that is too far away in distance and time could actually probably help me but...

I even suggested a SKYPE appointment...LOL...funny...different... but to me it is actually not a bad idea! What? see me, listen to me, then call in the $$(&*)&&()^^%#$#@# antibiotics!!!!!

I do have pics of the bites but don't know if I can send to my email from my phone...will work on that.

Now...my concern has shifted to my daughter...

I have to get us both taken care of somehow.

Thanks all...I'm going to lay down.

Cat's Claw .. same as Samento basically.

The dog doxy shouldn't be expensive.

If you're wanting an LLMD to do a Skype appointment, I doubt that will happen. And if it were to happen, they would charge you the same as a regular appointment.

Have you tried a walk-in clinic?

Dont rule out VERY small critters like spider mites. They can be very resistant to treatment.

they inhabit evergreen trees! Bigger tree the better. Even had 5 foot trees be killed by being overwhelmed by them. Takes a magnifying glass to see them.

Halmark of them is uncontrolled ith, bite you HAVE to rub or itch to rid of. Sometimes feels like pebble of sand between fingers IF you catch them.

Houses keep getting reinfested by them hitch-hiking in on your feet and legs from lawn. And btw, dont brush your head on an evergreen tree or you will be scratching your head.

there are other micro crawly insects too.

spider mites crossed my mind...do they produce the bullseye rash..the EMs???? And what is "ith"???

And do you mean "they" can be resistant to treatment or "person" is hard to treat?????

It is so sad and unfortunate that all of this is turning me off to nature...
