Oh my oh my OH THANK YOU GOD!

I got prescriptions (dx!) today for myself AND my daughter!!! I had to do a song and a dance for my daughter to get one but they agreed with me...let's assume it IS lyme and give it to her...NOT assume it isn't and don't give it to her! If it's NOT lyme then no harm no foul...duh duh duh!!!!

Finally somebody listened to me! I'm so happy I could dance in the street.

I'm just praying that it is enough!

I couldn't wait to tell you guys the happy news...I was losing my mind...

I know I'm going to have a problem with the insurance company...but I will cross that bridge when I come to it (or more approprately, jump in that sewer....eeeeeek)

~~Peace~~

Congratulations!

When my son first went on abx I did not know what herxing was... just want to make sure you know: you may feel worse before you get better!

How many days did they give each of you? Is it doxy?

I just found this on another thread. I haven't used them personally but I am considering it.

I would like to have doxy on hand for emergency tick bites.

You might want to consider it if you can't get abx for a longer period of time. 10 days is not enough. You need a minimum of 28 days... probably longer.

Don't forget to stay out of the sun! Doxy makes you sun sensitive!

May I have this dance? And congratulations!

But, did I just notice you changed your name? What? You made life easier for me?

Yes, I'll ask again.... May I have this dance?

Thanks for the heads up about the sun momlyme!

I wonder why they just gave 10 days...why not give the max. They act like it's their personal stash of meds...I mean really, go figure...if I think you might have some crazy disease and I can write a prescription for you that can save you why wouldn't I give you all that I can give?????...and your child might have it too???...what is up with that????? I don't understand it at all.

Oh well I'll work with what I have...and I will check out the "inhousepharmacy" as well.

Thanks! and ~peace~

Yes. You could have ordered it online.

Yes. Detoxing is important. Lemon juice and water. Epsom salt and baking soda in a warm bath. Milk thistle for your liver.

Take the doxy in the middle of a meal. Eat some, take doxy, eat some more.

Try to stay gluten free, yeast free, sugar free... we went dairy free too.

Read Dr. B's guidelines:
http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

Take probiotics!! This is extremely important. It replaces the good flora in your tummy (and your daughter's).

Take care & hope you feel better.

THAT IS GREAT NEWS! SO EXCITED FOR YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER.

Dr. K says that herxing is caused by the die off of the bugs, as well as, the bugs pee and poop. Yuck!

I cannot emphasize enough the detoxing aspect.

Are you familiar with the detoxing? For example:

Dry skin brushing

Detox bath

Lemon and water

Do you need specifics, instructions, "recipes"? You can do a search on Lymenet and find lots of info.

Or ask. [Smile]

Wow, hit the next walk in clinic. I can see us on the news now. We could be described as a new gang of drug using dopeys. They hit all the clinics and demand doxy for 10 days or however many days you will rx.

They must have some underground drug ring. What would they be doing with doxy? Are they all just acne troubled mid-life crisis men and women?

Sorry Lemons, I hope you find another ding dongs bell to ring. You've got 10 days.

Take care of you and yours,
Pam

Hope we don't all appear on the 6 o'clock news as a big drug bust goes down...the big Doxy heist! Of course then people might hear us..

You can order Doxy online without an RX? Where have I been....or am I confused-again.

Congrats to you! Yes probiotics....your new BFF

shakin and scratchin my head! I could have ordered the dx online???????????????

what should I have done differently so that I could have gotten that info earlier????????

I was pretty sure I had it about two weeks after I got it (lyme that is). I spent three more weeks trying to get a doctor to know I had it JUST so I could get the prescription!!!!!!!!!

I spent God only knows how much money so far and my insurance company is probably not going to pay for some of these doctor visits (emergency twice and urgent care and etc...)and I could have just paid $55.00 - $60.00 online!!!!!!!!

I am so outdone...

Thanks for the detox info...is there a site or info on here that will tell me exactly what to do???

Thanks all,
Peace~~

probiotics? florastor? vsl3? and theralac?
what in the world is all that????

On day two of taking the dx me and my daughter felt sooooooooooo much better and we just keep getting better and better. Oh thank you God. Although my daughter, who has a weak little stomach, starting having abdominal pain and threw up...took the meds WITH food and no problem.

I really have to get my hands on some more of this stuff before the ten days of the prescription is up.

This is such a trip...and the ignorance of doctors is unexcusable!

I'm having to pay a doctor to be ignorant AND treat me awful...SOOOOO NOT THE BUSINESS!

Praying for healing for us all...Have a great day!
