I'm glad PBS is showing this as I used to work for a PBS station, but..... unless a lot of folks buy when it airs it will go in the vault and not be aired again no matter how good it is.
PBS is about making money so this is just a friendly reminder.

ALL - Pls consider emailing [email protected]. Just did that and called too 800-792-8645:
Hello NJN-
I'm a lyme patient and would like to know why/who pulled Under Our Skin from your lineup please and if it will air later?
Speculation is that ALDF (Amer Lyme Disease Foundation) 'subsidiary' of IDSA may have had a hand in pulling it. Perhaps some other insurance-co backed group who maybe is a contolling donor? Would even guess government/CDC played a part somehow to keep antibiotic use low...would not doubt that as govt pulled TV story years ago of Mad Cow outbreak in Cherry Hill, NJ (google NY Times) - that was probably the prez protecting TX cattle industry.
I'll become a donor if you air this.
Thanks,

I just called my PBS station in Louisville and talked with the same woman I spoke with back in May.
I thanked her for getting it on 3 times since May 9th. I had asked her to get one evening in June at a decent time other than 3 am.
She did it at 10pm June 22 Wed evening. That was the night of our tornado nightmare. I had many friends that were scared it wasn't going to record due to loosing TV due to weather that night.
Many friends and family recorded it to watch later. Their comments to me after viewing were unbelievable.
They were stunned by the whole darn thing. One s-i-l started crying just talking about Dr Jones. I told her that the one that breaks my heart.
Dr B she was really impressed with what he said. She apologized and told me she just didn't realize the whole story and the truth. She was shocked.
Oh yeah I told the lady at PBS/KET that I was going to be a donor and card holder for KET from now on. I signed up immediately on line.
We have one more showing June 30th at 3 am. on KET. I can't seem to pull up July schedule?

When I left PBS two years ago it was $38,000.00 for 1/2 hour program. Under Our Skin is how long? They need to recoup that cost, and then make money from you the public also who are watching.
There is no money going into to public TV anymore. That is why I lost my job. If lymies and their friends do not support with $$$, they will take it off the schedule and put something that is supported on. It is not prejudice it is dollars and cents.

I will send another mass email to my family and friends for KET local. You can make a $5.00 donation on your debit card or other plastic.
I need to check out their programs more often. They do have educational programming. I do like to be educated.
There is more to educating ourselves besides lyme & co.
MagicAcorn, I'm so sorry you lost your job in PBS. I will do my part in making people aware.
I'm very particular about who I give my donations to. I have a new friend in KET.
I hope you are not a squirrel lover. If so I've offended you recently in one of my posts. I'm on a raving squirrel attack.

I can't tell you how great this city and this community responded to that documentary UOS.
Good things do happen. The dum dums in this city are being told by patients the truth. Of course dum dums think they have the upper hand, but they don't anymore.
I've already heard from patients that told doctors the way it is. They are being challenged.
I love it. Truth will prevail!!!!!!!
