In expectation of the 4th of July, may we all have wings like Eagles to carry us through this week.

This thread is about doing what we can to keep the body moving.

Focusing on what we can do.

I walked about 15 min outside to see Mr Popper's Penguins movie.

Tired/dizzy now but sooo worth the walk to the theater - I needed a laugh and a smile today. Been going through a lot of ups/downs with PICC line and not knowing if I have c.diff etc so in the meantime I can smile at the penguins.

Kam - yes it is hot hot hot -I hope you can take a shower too!

Able to water the 3 potted plants on the patio this am.

Put away the plates from the DW.

Make a cup of expresso but goofed up on that ...no problem...just poured the coffee from the spill tray into my glass.

Resting now then hoping to be able to do more.

Saw the thread on fixing meals with little to no energy. Catch 22.

I have been too weak to fix something to eat or to eat which in turns increases the weakness.

Well I had myself ready to start back up with the YMCA arthritic class TODAY. Heated pool and exercise, I miss it!!!!

I've had this skin eruptions or lesions whatever all over my body for over 2 weeks. I can't go to the Y and get in public pool, when I don't know what they are?????? They used to be only on top of feet, elbows and under breasts. Now they are popping up everywhere including my face.

My dermo when I described them to him 3 mths ago sound they sounded like staph. He said to come in and he will graft/bioposy and send it off for analyze. Now I don't have to show him under my breasts. I have a nickle size one on my arm today.

I don't know if they are bart related, babs related or even staph or someother unknown bacteria or virus......

I can't go to public place Y pool and put elderly people at risk. That would be very stupid on my part.

My appt is for tomorrow morning. This one on my arm is open and has been there for 10 days. It is driving me crazy. Not just itchy but it is painful underneath the skin.

Ok Got the two laundry baskets of clothes folded and put away.

Going to rest and then hoping to get the laundry that is on top of the dresser put away.

Hit the ringer off button on the phone but the phone just rang so not sure what the ringer off button means??

I don't answer the phone and don't have caller ID. So, a person needs to leave a msg and I get back to them when that part of the brain is working.

Kam, I am just like Tincup,,,if the phone dont ring its probably me.

If it does ring chances are its NOT me!!!!

Got up at a rousing 3:45 to get to work at 5AM. or actually much earlier but cant clock in till the magic hour.

Then soared like an eagle after work 110 miles to do my other stuff for the week.

Thought I could remove this clunky old furnace myself but it had other ideas of that plan. Friend stopped over and we threw it(well it was big time heavy) out the back door.

Nobody told me it was built deep into the floor,,and the heat duct held tight on top.

Came home to rest my foot a bit and headed out to finish south side new siding on my latest project.

Wondering how this is going to work all by myself and the high sun baking off it,,,not an ideal combo.

Maybe will work on other side but not far enough along for that one. Will see how this works out.

Bricklayer is supposed to be putting on front face brick so I can watch him if all else fails.

Anybody going to be in my town July 3rd??? Want to go to the "Monkees" reunion tour concert at the casino,,,but need somebody to go with.

If I go with my regular peeps,,,me , myself, and I,,,we dont always get along. Hard to enjoy good concerts solo!!!

We could have a bang up good time!!!Being its 4th of July weekend. Other than that,,,I have to work all weekend as usual.

And all week at my other projects!!!Such is life!!!

Happy Independence Day all!!!

Love the pic, KAM. It reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures in Isaiah 40:28-31. And they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Not an exact quote, I am too tired, but that is the gist of it) Anyway, great pic!

I have started my Tai Chi class again. Even though it is in the evening, my worst time of the day, I find I am doing OK without payback. Now if I can get in the habit of practicing every day.

Gardening has kept me busy. I have been able to keep up with the weeds a little better this year. But it is still early in the season. We ate the first fruit, some radishes. Typically, we are picking peas by now, but I got them in two weeks late this year.

Nothing wrong with your memory, Pam! Now I have that song stuck in my head. [dizzy]

Good night folks!

Don't believe everything you think. Saw this sentence somewhere.

Thought of it again this am when I woke up thinking it looked like one of those days where moving the body was going to be out.

But, I was wrong. Yes. I am not "lyme normal"

But, I was able to take the trash out via the power chair, fill the bucket of water for the mom and kittens that are hiding in a drainage ditch near the trash can, turn on the dishwasher, sort the laundry and put one load in the washer down the hall via the power chair.

it is so nice even when you are feeling lousy to be able to do some things to take your mind off of things and feel a bit productive.

Hot Hot Hot here again today. Air conditioning units outside my window started up at dawn.

Next .....let the monsoons begin rain dance...now where is my oil can so I can bust a move or two

I walk the dog, weather permitting, every day without fail. I told my doctor, if not for my dog, I would never get off the couch, but I owe this much to him, even when I am hurting, which is most of the time.

Yesterday, I was so proud of myself, because I cleaned the MUCH overdue frig and freezer. My middle son called, and I told him that I felt like I had just climbed a mountain. He said, "You did. You climbed, 'Mount Frig,'" lol!

I don't know what I would do without my guys. [Smile]

Wow. almost through another week. I'll be back to read what others posted when able. Upside down right now from pushing the envelope, using a bucket of water with holes in it...any other sayings??

Walked into grocery store and got into cart. STayed too long but cupboards were bare...got a weekends worth of food if I am able to make the chicken and brown rice baked dish.

Able to walk into ma and pa health food store and pick up local eggs and GF bread

Inflamed brain from over doing it I guess

Looking forward to when I can drive the 3 miles to the National Forest and either do the 10 min loop or just drive on the dirt road.

Need some fun moving the body time...

Able to do the 10 min loop in the forest. The group of people were there standing off the trail a few feet doing whatever that is they are doing...slow moving stuff.

I'd need my power chair with me in order to join them. Couldn't stand still on my feet or hold my body upright still for that matter.

STrange how this thing affects us.

Lots of people and dogs at the trail head. Thinking of selling tickets. [Smile]

Also able to get water for the stray momma cat and kittens that are in the drain pipe at the end of the parking lot.

Someone else is feeding them.

And able to get Rosie out half way around the block first thing this am via my upright power chair and robe.

Fashion police were not out thankfully.

Resting now, then hoping to be able to do more. Kitchen needs cleaning up

had to take the dishes out of the DW the caregiver/hskpr put in...she is new and did not know you need to clean the dishes before putting them in...just what was she thinking..ha

So, I need to scrub the stuck food off and put the dishes back in..

Farmers mkt is across the field...but not sure I am up to dealing with crowds of people and the heat and doing the multi tasking it takes to purchase something.

last year the prices were extremely high. Asking $6.00 for a dozen of eggs. Not good.

Neighbor stopped by with some things she got at the Farmers Mkt so that was the motivation I needed to get over there.

After I was coming back and it was quiet, I thought it would have been a good idea to put on my ear protection as the background noise of people talking is too much for me. Can't think.

Saw some eggs for $3.00 but didnt' need them.

Did get some grapefruit for 25 cents each. I think that is good. Looks like ruby red.

Did get some apples and some apricots and granola.

Wanted to get a ticket for a 4 wheel drive thing that seats 4 for the search and rescue raffle but I was done in by then.

I am not even sure I would be able to handle one of those things off road...the noise, the sitting upright...but I sure would like to try.

Farmers Mkt opened on memorial day. 1st time I have been able to go so it was good just to be there.

Saw a table with gluten free stuff on the sign but it was packed with people..couldnt' really tell what it was...looked like pastas and sauces

Rosie missed out on the dog treat table as I was done in by then too.

Rosie did well after I put her gentle leader on that lets her know she is working.

Before that, she wanted to say hi to all the other dogs at the Farmers Mkt.

Ok thought about this a bit. What looks like Golden Delicious apples in July?? And Grapefruit??

I do recall someone questioning the lady seller the grapefruit and she said if you leave it on the tree (I hope that was tree..now I am thinking she said vine??) they are still good til JUne.

The apricots are off of a tree and the seller was right...they are very ripe and need to be eaten today.

Miss living on the coast where there were so many good produce brought in to the farmers mkt's...walnuts, cherries, grapes, apples in the fall, fresh pressed apple juice and many more other things...you usually knew the growing as you had been out to their place.

MOved here and was surprised to see around the year produce in the grocery stores. Not very good tasting either.

Here about the only home grown thing would be tomatoes, eggs..I did see some zucchini and green onions...

my nieghbbor came back with a different kind of cucumber...at least that is what she called it..now that I think about it..i think it was a zuchini.

NOw, I know why I stopped going last year...brain and vision and processing not working well enough to figure out what to purchase and if what I am purchasing is at a good price and really home grown.

Too many people...too much noise..to much mulit tasking needed..maybe if I go and just pick one thing I will be able to be more successful and less confused....and wear my noise muffs.

What has all of this got to do with exercising...it was moving using the body and the brain and getting out of the house

Even though I was in my power chair..holding the body upright is tricky

Lasted until 10:30 am.

Glad to see you are able to keep moving a bit PG too. That dizzy stuff is tricky.

Went back to Farmer's Mkt while out for Rosie's mid day toileting.

Success at the pasta table that had a GF sign. Found a place on the side in the shade away from the main walkway.

The GF stuff was right in front of me this time on ice. It was eggplant with a tomatoe sauce and some other stuff.

Learned it was from an Italian restaurant down the hill. Looked up their web site when I got home.

The owner was there and I assume his daughter.

His daughter had me sampling all the different choices.

I know have about a weeks worth of food in 3 containers. I most likely will eat half of a serving for one meal.

I really like eggplant and the way they fixed it.

REsonable price too. Glad I was able to go back.

Still got confused. Thought if I just went to one table I would be OK. But, then she started giving me all the different samples to try and I got confused.

I think I got the ones I wanted.

All but one are in the freeezer now. She mentioned how they were all frozen except one.

it is 100 degrees out there. Don't know how the sellers can handle that. 15 more minutes to go.

Last Sunday the tables were gone before quitting time at noon. The tables are covered witht he pop up canopies but still it is too hot even in the shade.

The bread they gave me as a sample to put one of their italian tomatoes mixes on was really good too.

Wondering if i could get away with eating small bites of regular bread like that.
