I have a day dream that runs through my mind of us finally suing the IDSA and destroying it as an organization. Of all the doctors who were against us there lining up and being paddled by every Lyme patient that wished to do so.

Okay, let's hope for both.

There is no doubt this is getting WAY out of control. My Naturopath says he sees at least 2 new cases every week with his new patients.

Also, we can't argue with all the new people in the NEED a Doctor section of this forum.

Great to dream and be proactive for sure

And since the disease is spreading at an exponential rate, there is DEFINITELY going to be a breaking point soon. I'm just so surprised that those IDSA quacks were able to pull it off for so long!

One thing to keep in mind: The entire IDSA is not bad... it's just the 14 guys who are writing the guidelines, and whoever else supports them. Some ILADS doctors are also members of the IDSA.

I'm surprised that the IDSA doesn't kick out the 14 Lyme-guidelines writers. They're giving a horrible name to the entire organization!

Yes, we've heard that some doctors in the IDSA are afraid to speak up against the 14.

Still, too many doctors follow their guidelines, so my suggestion is that we not be quiet in their offices anymore, but speak up.

I do, and I bring brochures, and then when we both walk out of the office room (!), I then educate their staff, who can't walk out on me!

I've long had a fantasy of taking their licenses off the wall!

I believe the whole organization needs to come down for a failure of this magnitude. Let the next organization take their fate as a lesson.

I'm also certain that if they are doing this with Lyme, they are doing it with something else.

Anyway, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
