Finally got back to exercise today!! My buddies had missed me ... how sweet of them! I missed them too!!

I did a lot of talking... (shock, shock) [Wink] and 13 min on the machine. Only 21 laps. My back and feet were hurting so I took it easy. I figured I was out of shape after nearly 3 wks of virtually no exercise!!

Thanks for the flowers TuTu. And for starting the thread.

Wow. Almost the end of July.

FAll will be coming. Looking foward to it.

Good you were able to get the body moving again and have a good visit with your fellow body movers!

What a treat.

pretty flowers!

the last two days i moved a lot of stuff...from large expensive to storage to small storage. i brought a lot home too. this is a good time to be up north-lots of 70 degree days...it was 107 in nj last week.

i had to take neurontin cuz i had a trigeminal flare and it made all of me feel pretty good. i had sort of expected to be in wheelchair after moving that stuff but i am doing good

don't know how to measure that in calories...but it wa exercise for sure

i go to concord-2 hrs away-to get my knees checked.

then tomorrow i am seeing friends in rochester-2 hrs away and etta is getting groomed. hope it works. she is kinda matty cuz i have not kept up the combing at night since i have been up here-going on 6 weeks now. was supposed to be 2.

my brother has a doc appt tomorrow. i hope he gets some help. he is safe-food and shelter...but not happy.

it was really easy to get on today...guess i'll try it at this time more often. take care all

good to see you, kayak! Keep us posted on what is happening!

My neck is angry with me, so I can't type as much as I'd like.

Did 30 laps yesterday and 10 min on the machine.

Hi gang! Well I am back up to 3 miles on the treadmill.

Been months since I have been able to do much of anything. So happy!

Walk at the house treadmill but really want to get back to the YMCA to use theirs and the pool.

But having some issues where I need to stick close to bathroom if you get my drift lol.

well-busy day on the road and at the groomers so no real exercise-but because i got rid of so much stuff at yard sales i can make the extra room into a gym. it will have tread mill, weight bench, sauna, yoga mat...tv(for tread mill)...and there is still more room...

so the next few days are putting stuff away from the storage i guess

i kept the elliptical upstairs in the living room...i think i will use it more there...

wont be doing 3 miles any time soon tho...ten min is a lot for me

Cool, a tarantula! They are amazing!! I once had a GP who had one in an aquarium in his office! (in his private office)

Welcome back, Disney!! [hi]

I did 10 min on the machine, a few tiny weights, and 34 laps.

Hoping to be able to read what others have been doing after vision clears up.

Able to finally plant the cacti in the hallway pot. It took 3 of us. [Smile]

And able to kind of add soil or repot some of the other potted plants....only have 4 I think.

And sweep the patio. I am done in. Too weak to fix me a GF almond butter and jam sandwhich.

HOping after I lay here a few hours I will be able to do so.

oh...tutu-i don't know for sure what i am going to do. i blame my craziness on the head injuries. one of my kids is so mad at me.

but i came here-my brother was sooooo sick. the house was a huge mess..full of all kinds of crap.

i got him help. we got the house cleared out and the flower beds sort of ok and a beautufl for sale sign out but no calls at all. after two weeks i put the price down 5000 and still no calls.

it is really nice to be in the 70s with a breeze when nj is 107!!! i wouldn't be able to ride til 9 at night like last year

with my brother in his own place i am more comfortable here and when i do the math it is so cheap here i could probably buy a used camper and go south for a few of the worst months. i have lymie friends in NC and texas and MO now and relatives in nj, fla and CA...

this house is too small for two ppl if they are not a couple...but with a gym and sauna and i have been looking at stables in maine-they are closer than any in nh for the kind of riding i do
it is looking like it might work. i have a good primary here and i think i can talk my last llmd into taking me back...hes in vt-3 hrs...but i don't need to see him that often

so i don't know. i came on to say i did the elliptical 15 min. hope my knees are ok tomorrow. i keep getting this profound fatigue...i cant keep my eyes open. i did a lot of physical work and travel this week...but it is so intense and new i wonder what it is. i am also getting these little things out of my skin. have been reading up on parasites and morgellons.

so a lot going on.

kam-sounds like you are a little better. hope you keep going in that direction.

As long as you can get away in the winter, that would be great.

Good to be able to stay there now. It's really hot in much of the US right now.

Able to make it around the block in the upright power chair this am.

Not sure if I wrote this all ready or not. But, was sore from it. ??

Feet were purple and hurt.

Rested, then went down the street to give Rosie a chance to do her business.

Ended up at the thrift shop. They had a pair of pants with the tags still on them...cherokee I think.

But, the line was so long at the check out. I waited and it did not get shorter...more people kept coming in.

There are 4 thrift or consignment businesses all in the same area now. It is really drawing the people.

Thrift shops do well here as it is because they are for a good cause (senior center, human society, domestic violence shelter) and because Walmart is the only store in town.

My butt is sore again and my feet purple and hurting. It was a bit much to go down to the thrift shop and then have all the people inside.

Everyone was being friendly but sheesh.

I left the pants there. Health was not up to waiting in that line.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Kam - sorry you could not get your pants - maybe another time and hopefully they will still be there! Shopping is very tiring.

I went to a gym today for the first time in over a year. I had this free pass so I went with my BF. Literally did just a few reps of some leg machines and I thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest. Wasn't even doing much weight at all. I used to be a gym rat and could press 200lbs on a leg press machine (when I was fit and 115lbs) but now I am 102lbs and weak so I was only doing 20lbs at that. Boo!

But it was kind of motivating to see all the equipment and I mentally wanted to do it all. Just could not physically but one day I will! Starting back my PT this week so hopefully that can help me get there.

guess what. i rode. i drove an hour o check out a barn in case i found a horse to lease. they were able to give me a lesson. it was higher level than i have ridden ever. they have much higher quality horses than i am used to. they liked me! and have a 5yo mare they think will work for a 1/2 lease for me. if not i can take a few lessons a week. gas will cost a lot...and they don't have an indoor. but i can ride for a few weeks before i go back to nj.

it felt so good to ride. it has been at least 6 wks. i wonder if i will be sore.

i woke up with a really sore knee after 15 min of elliptical. it woke me up early. but it didn't hurt when i rode.

Able to do the 10 min loop in the forest this am. Lots of cars at the trailhead but had the 10 min loop to myself.

This is good.

Sat on the rock half way and ate a banana and had my double expresso and cream starbucks drink.

Put dishes in to soak. Resting now, then hoping to get them in the dishwasher.

Saw some large, flat burnt orange mushrooms on the trail and a wildflower that looked like a purple shooting star.

Thought of getting camera out of the car and going back to take pics but by the time I walked the small incline to the car I was done in.

oh kam i'm so glad you are feeling better

i have been cleaning today...i have needed to do it since tuesdaay when i closed the storage

but wed thurs and sat ended upp being travel days

and my neighbor came by and made my stove work...i have been 6 wks w/o stove. that is good!!!

i guess i will try to do 10-15 min on elliptical later. and walking down and up the hill to pick the garden is hard too---real hard coming up.

i am still having a profound fatigue that comes and goes and i can't figure it out. not related to food or meds or activity...

and my blood work was pretty good-low d, high b12

and carotid artery ultrasound neg for any blockage...

i'm having trouble getting used to how funny etta looks clipped. (i think shes sort of ugly but don't tell her)-i'm glad it will grow back...and i'm glad it insulates her and she doesnt get hot when it is long

i just have to be sure and comb her everyday to keep the mats away

Wow. I get worn out just reading all you have been doing.

Able to kind of make the bed and put away a bit of laundry.

Sorted laundry and put one load in. That was like climbing a mtn exhaustion wise.

And I just about dropped the laundry basket that was on my lap along with the laundry powder in the hallway. Glad I didn't. Close one and no strength/energy to pick it up if I did.

A lady came into the laundry room talking away. Wanting me to listen to her thought processes and concerned I was using her time on the dryers that she had left over.

Thankfully, I was not even to the point of using the dryers but the light stays on when there is time left over and the light was off.

Didn't say anything to her.

Just told her I'd like to listen but it took all I had to get the laundry in.

She continued to talk. I just got in my power chair and went down the hall to my apartment.

Resting now, then I will put the clothes in to dry Hopefully, she will be done with the dryers by then.

Rosie keeps giving me the look. She wants to go run in the forest. But, I am not so sure that is do able tonight.

We shall see after I get the laundry done. I will have clean PJ's to wear tonight. This is good.

I have been trying to do my laundry on Friday mornings.

But, I am still not to the point where health allows me to do the laundry whenever I want.

I need to wait until I am doing well enough to do so.

not sure what you meant tute

my brother came over just as i finished my meds to pick up his mail.

i asked him to start the mower and i mowed the back and side yard. whew. first time i have done that in over a year. no elliptical today!

showered and rsting now. i am aware this is a lot for me to do...i just can't figure when i can do it and when i can't. sometimes cant get out of the chair and don't even pick up ettas messes(she rips every piece of paper she can find)-its breezy here so always something blowing on floor...receipts-bills. she is like the dog that "ate my homework"!

anyway...i think paperwork is on the agenda for this afternoon...or a nap
