I've been experiencing really severe back/hip pain since Sat night. Can't get out of bed on my own. OH WAIT.. except for last night when I decided to get up on my own anyway!!
Well, I passed out. Before I went out, I signaled my husband. He found me totally out and (he said) turning blue. I "came to" with him on the phone with 911 and telling me "stay with me" over and over.
All things checked out OK and I'm back home. My BP was 77/66 when the EMT checked it. Wonder what it was when I fainted???
The joys of life.

I don't know, skies. They checked my BP while lying down, sitting, standing. The dr didn't say if the difference was significant or not.
My BP has been dropping to the 80's and sometimes 70s. I'm on Verapamil for my heart. Will see cardiologist in two weeks.
The back stuff started in May when I tried to lift something too heavy for me. I injured my neck as well. I'm supposed to be doing traction at home and now I can't since I can't get on the floor.
Don.. haven't seen that. Today is the first day I could even sit for more than a minute.
grrrrrr

I am sorry to hear this and I pray you didn't hurt yourself on the way down. I hope you find the cause of this also.
My biggest fear (well, one of them) is that I will pass out on the toilet. My kids are under strict orders to make sure I am clothed before they call 911 if that ever happens!!!
Take care....

Yes, ate enough food .. even ate some chicken with bedtime meds. No chiro anymore. He made me worse and I can't take the chance again.
Iron levels were checked in May, so OK there.
mom2kids.. Weird thing is that I felt woozy, so I closed the toilet seat and sat down. When I came to, I was still sitting there!! How did I go out but was not on the floor??
And I want you to know that I had on some fashionable pj's. So all was good there! Whew!!
The ER dr told me next time if I felt I was going to faint, to get on the floor so I wouldn't hurt myself. I'm thinking... "Then how would I get UP again!!??"
Life Alert is for sissies and old people.

Thats a scary episode!
I use to take medication for my heart(mitral valve prolapse), and it made my blood pressure very low. I walked around always about to pass out. I finally quit taking it. Maybe you just need to have a change in your med.

TuTu, I did that once too. Dont know if I was out even. Sat down to rest with lid closed.
Felt it coming on and did summon my eldest daughter from upstairs.
She took me 15 miles to ER but they said fainting is a common prob,,,everybody does it.
Sent me home. As I recall that was one of my first symptoms I remember when I got pretty sick.
My faint came and went within 5 or 10 minutes.
When I was a child I fainted a couple times,,,usually when it was really warm,,,hot,,,no air then and no help,,,once was in church.
Glad you survived so well and feel pretty well back to normal. Next time I see that commercial I will write it down or email you pronto.
It really made sense and didnt cost much and very durable

lor honey, i'm glad you're alright. that blood pressure is way tooooo low.
chuck the chiro. they can mess you up big time especially if you've damaged any nerves or discs in your back.
remember tho staying in bed cause your back to actually stiffen up so slight exercise is the key.
lately i wash my hair every two days. and as mom said always have on clean panties just in case you have an accident and have to go the er.
i sure hope you get better. ain't no fun being sick is it.

Geez Toots, What a way to spend the day! NOT!! Wondering if your b/p could have dropped from the verapamil.
Sure has a lot of serious side effects. Glad you are home and okay. BTW, A trick I learned to get dirty hair to feel decent, is to put some baby powder in tit, and brush though. Hope you feel better kiddo.

Okay, that looks like a sign of hypercoagulation.
Are you taking systemic enzymes and fish oil for that? Those will reduce hypercoagulation and also reduce inflammation, which may help the back pain.
I'm sorry that you're feeling so poorly.

Yes, I have been doing nothing for the hypercoagulation which was diagnosed 10-11 yrs ago. I used to be on heparin therapy, then lumbrokinase.
I have such stomach issues with most enzymes. I do take plenty of fish oil.

Didn't see that about the hypercoagulation. Is it possible that Lyme and co is rearing it's ugly head?
When I first went to my LLMD, my blood was clotting very badly in the tube. Got better when he put me on abx. Worried about you. Maybe get retested?

....ye, it's the turning blue part that's got me too.
What up with that?
I think we oughta open up our own Medline, 'cause everyone is pipin' up with great diagnostic thoughts. If blue is an issue, something is impeding blood flow to the brain, hence fainting.
You do need to retrace your steps Tutu.
So sorry to hear of what happened. Can't imagine my friend passed out on the floor.

Yeah, I need to ask him about that so I know what to tell my doctors next week. I do know that when your BP is too low, the blood flow to your body is impeded .. esp the brain.
My BP likely went below 77/66 because that is what it was after the EMT's got there and I had come to.
Hubby did indeed feel helpless. Like Six told me though, Lymie husbands are tough! They've seen just about everything!

OMG. I'm so sorry I didn't realize you were hitting the floor. How horrible.
Lyme husbands do have to witness far too much and hear us too. I hope you find out something soon.
Something to explain the low bp and the fainting? Sounds like whatever is causing the pain is controlling lots of things.
I hope your good doctor has some ideas what's happening. I'll pray for his recognizing the culprit and his ability to get you back in better health.
Stay off the floor Tutu. Crawl or scoot yourself around. No walking allowed unless you know you're better.

Saw my internist yesterday and he reviewed the hospital info and said, "That is scary!" I think mainly because this happened for "no apparent reason."
He said it was probably my heart. Totally freaked my husband out now because the ER dr acted like "Oh, people faint all the time, etc." That had calmed him down, since he said he felt so totally helpless that night. I can imagine.
I will see my cardiologist on Monday.
Anyone know why I would have had a high WBC count???? It was 10+ ..

A high WBC would indicate an infection. Sounds like you might need some abx. Possibly could be Lyme and co rearing it's ugly head. Maybe a good idea to see your LLMD. What do you think?

maybe cuz you recovered so well? still.

guess we better send "hang-in there" prayers to your hubby too. it must be very scarey for him

I can't take abx "just because" anymore. My yeast is too bad. They checked me for a bladder infection and checked my kidney function. All OK.
No point in seeing LLMD if I can't take abx. When I Rife I do not herx anymore. When I HAVE taken abx, I don't herx either. I feel OK other than my injured back.
