<<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,
Still here, waiting which is hard...
News said they'd be alerting folks by phone etc. Looking up the hill doesn't help...every time they fly over ,or the wind changes the smoke direction changes, wafts away, comes back up...
We know where most of our important stuff is... if it gets bad...and we have time to grab it.
Is there anyplace left that doesn't get storms, fires, floods high winds or earthquakes?
Our poor Min-pin mix, doesn't like the planes and the noise, and has put himself to bed in his carrier/crate.
Our Husky mix is in here w/us,in the den, she has always been more laid back than the little Dog.
Will be checking in from time to time...if we don't have to leave.
We went thru this a few years ago too, around 2001, we lived in a small town of under three hundred folks.
That year we could see the flames, and the ashes were falling on our car.
Hoping they've got teh fire under control...still hearing a lot of overflight activity.
I have been hoarse since the chemical sensitivity flu,so don't want to look out the door too much...a wind shift could make my breathing worse.
Oy Vey... well I'llcheck in after a bit...

We are thinking on you two and your pups. Can see you in your den in front of your computer. Glad you can leave if you have to, tho.
Reminds me of the time we got flooded...we didn't get out in time b/c the water rose so fast...we had to be evacuated by canoe...fun times...not!
Will ask the Lord for His protection around you, TxC and pups.
Asking Him to send His angels to guard you and yours.

Thanks for the prayers.... interesting we taped a program last night, biblical info' and the folk were talking about gaurdian angels.
Watched the program this morning...something good to think about, thru all these issues!
Anyway so far we've not had the evacuation phone call.
Sounds like your flood situation was scary, glad y'all made it thru...
I'llcheck in again after a bit...if we can!

I spoke to someone not long ago while waiting for a computer to come up with info we needed to do a transaction. I told them Maryland was famous for its crabs and corn.
They said their state of Idaho was famous for two things... their big potatoes and their wonderful firefighters.
Here is a site that might assist with learning more about your specific fire. I clicked on Idaho, so the stats and updates will be on this page.
Click on the name of the fire- they all get names, some make sense, others don't- which is listed under "Incidents". Look down the page a bit for details on that fire.
My favorite firefighter is away fighting fires as we speak, so I am keeping track of his whereabouts and the fire activity at that site.
Good luck!
PS You might want to hang a damp hankie over your mouth and nose (a bandana works well for this) when going out to help clear some of the air you breathe, if you don't have a mask.

We are further South...
The fire is moving south and east of us... but is over 100 acres. It will be a long night.
They have a lot of planes and helicopters out, trying to keep it away from homes and from the 'Tower jungle' above us [ which involves state emergency communications ].
One home has burned and several places are in danger...it has gone down canyon ANd down the other side of the hill going south east. The fire is about a mile away from us.
Our evac' area to go too,is not very far away from here, and they can give us more info' if necessary.
Hopefully, they can get it under control...we can see fire vehicles up above on the hill. Trying to protect the homes and communication towers.
Scary, but we are hanging in here... TxC' is talking to a neighbor, in case we need to get her dog out along w/ ours.
ANd just praying that they get the fire Out ... we don't want any more damage in area. The Police are asking folk to stay home and off the highway please.
I wont soon forget this day....
SIlverwolfi,and TxC' too

Er LOL no Randibear...We're not pregnant....
It's gettin'scary to answer the phones tho'.
Tinny, we may end up doing the wet hanky yet...but I hope not... in 2001 I couldn't go out hardly during the fires.
It is a good idea tho' for certain.
I hope your firefighter is safe and doing well... I'll be checking back in again.
News is on again...the fire has spread to around 1000 acres, the evac. orders are just below us to the south...and we are praying it doesn't come back this way.
Pray-ers ,please pray the winds die down quickly... this is scary... We don't want anymore losses or damage,of our town or us.
We tho't it was from teh lightneing storm...but police are saying 4 kids were playing w/ matches.

Keep checking if you want.
Until it gets "big" it isn't usually posted. Sounds like it has hit the mark now because it is spreading, is not at all contained, and has reached 1,000 acres.
I know this has been a very busy fire season. And this one is from kids playing with matches? UGGGGGG!!!!
When did it start?
Keeping you in my prayers! And thanks for the well wishes for my firefighter. Haven't heard from him in the last 4 days, so he must be deep into it.

I don't think we'll get much sleep...the planes are back and forth...it is back this way again behind us...and super really noisy.
They just dumped a huge load of reddish powdery stuff on it below the Tower jungle. I hope it is under control soon.
We've heard the names China Peak, and Buckskin road mentioned a few times on news updates, so it may show up on the fire inci-site under a name like that??
Please Lord let the fires be out soon!

Thanks for prayers and the concern... now that it is dark you can see the fire glow up on the hill...
The smoke is nasty, I got a wet rag to use to breathe thru to let the dogs out for their break.
It is on Chinese peak, finally got the info',Chinese peak and Black Rock canyon area are closed and unsafe.
Our county has been declared disaster area. They said that this allows for more groups to come and help fight the fires.
We are still at home, but that could change...from a mile south and on down from us,folks are evacuted. They will be staying at Highschool and Police barracks tonight.
Officially they are still saying 'cause unknown' but the Sheriff had stated that the Four Kids playing w/ matches seem to have started the fire.
A bit ago it was at 1200 acres burned, guess we'll see by tomorrow.I hope it is controlled by then.
TxC lost a friend who died while wildfire fighting in the 1996 Boise National Forest Wildfires.
It is so very dangerous... I'll be glad when this is over with...
Not sure we'll get much sleep tonight...

Just checking on you before I turn in for the night, hoping you are ok.
Just noted a new entry for your state, which describes 10 new fires started by lightening and gives them names. Don't know if you are mentioned there on that list, or you are one of the "other ones" they mention?
"Two additional human-caused fires Monday afternoon were also being staffed by district resources."
I see over 500 people were brought in to help fight these 10 new fires.

Thanks for info site and prayers and concern.
TxC' was able to get some sleep, our smaller pup-dog was a bundle of nerves and woke me up several times.
If you could call it sleeping?! then , a dear elderly relative of TxC's called a few minutes back at 6:30.
They were discussing TxC's Eldest brothers death... well the relative was...we are still sorta numb-ish.
-At 2:30 a.m I got woke up, put a wet rag to my face, and checked out back. The fires were still glowing up the hill.
As of last-nights News update was about 1200 acres burned... I suspect it is on that new list Tinny, Thank You for the info'.
We'll check the news when we get up. We were blessed and lucky...several homes were evacuated.Don't know if everyone is back home yet?
Hopefully everyone is alright, and no more damage to homes ,barns etc.
The smoke smells kept waking me up [along w/ Mua'di-doggy]. Our trailer home settled after the flooding here summer '09,and the doors have a slim gap because of it.
I had a sheet up etc. at doors to block some of the smoke smell, not much else to do...
Will check back in later ,gonna try to rest somemore...if my brain will calm down... Aunts funeral is today...

AS of the 10:00pm news about 15 minutes ago. The fire in our area is about 50% percent contained, and had burned aprox. 1275 acres.
Sadly there are more fires in other areas here now. Tho' none as close as the one on the hill was/is. It still reeks of smoke when the winds change at all.
The smoke smells are worrisome when we try to sleep...not much sleep last night for either of us.
Hopefully tonight we'll be able to rest, so many fire fighters wont be getting much rest tho'.Please keep them in y'alls tho'ts and prayers.
Jus' Silverwolfi updating...

<<<<< Mo and each reader/replier >>>>>,
Thanks so much for supporting us in this frightening mess !
The pics on the news are so very sad, out of control fires are horrible.
Our side of the hill didn't get hit to horribly on the lower levels. Bot it smell smoky-gross...
don't want to think about it when the rains come as fall comes in. In time it will wash and waft the smoke away, but wet burn smells nasty too.
Then in areas hit the hardest, our fire areas and others too... in spring water run off will have to be carefully monitored.
The less grasses, brush and trees to hold the hillside areas the more dangerous. We flooded here in '09 and
... the hillside came right down the streets had several feet of mud ,and standing water. We were stuck in our trailer for several hours.
Fires can cause so much damage, and devistation. I am so glad it is calming down here...and praying for others in the dangerous areas too.
Silverwolfi here.
