Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

Do you ever get screen Identities ,your name etc. all confused [or uh...corndiffused as I used to say to a friend] ???

I seem to be having one of them days, alot lately...

If you see Denim-n-Silvwer-Wolfi-Bear-Joy-Lion , or some equally odd signature at the end of my topics...[names from three boards, two are now defunct.]

Or If I mention my hubby, Trex-Coord-Wanna-Bear[ from two different boards, one defunct] etc.

Just send me a virtual cyber hug and cyber-pat my poor lil' head ... [bonk] [loco] I'm onney -a-lil'-corndiffused lately.

To quote Han Solo in "Empire Strikes Back", "It's not my fault!"

What is also frustrating is trying remember all of the different passwords, especially if the site creates one for me!

That is why I am just Hopesalive and some variation of doxiluv everywhere I go, lol.

What amazes me is that I CAN typically remember my passwords, which some are small variations of the other and some are quite different. I rarely have to be reminded of my multiple passwords, yet I can't remember my name or where my keys are most of the time.

Very strange, lol

Hello <<<<< HopesAlive >>>>>,

I hear you about remembering our names, keys etc.

And as TxC' brought up the passwords, I had a horrible time at the bank yesterday, needed my password and couldn't remember it...so upsetting and embarrassing.

I used to joke that I knew my name 'it's on my Bible'...but now... 'where did I put my Bible???!'.

There are just some days...that my brain seems to burp. The train has left the station...come back little Sheba...

Oh yes - I once started writing to myself when I didn't recognize it was one of the screen names I had chosen. And I answered back, so all was well.

LOL! Silverwolf!

Thank you for the laugh. I needed that today. That is just great. Yes, my brain seems to "burp," and more often than not now, I will draw a complete blank! Feel like an idiot when I do that. I am right on track, then the train derails, and I have NO idea what I was just talking about. Hmmmmmm....lol! We HAVE to laugh, though, right? Except when that happens in the middle of a job interview, lol! Then the entire room full of people look at you like you are an alien (yes, that has happened to me before).

I think I have shared before that my middle son (even before my Lyme dx, before I had this EXCUSE for losing everything including my mind) lovingly called me a "loser."

I lost my keys, my sunglasses, my glasses, my everything else that I was looking for at the time.

Ever start looking for something and find something you were looking for the week before? Yup. That happens now, too. lol!

The brain is so interesting. Like when one can remember something that happened in the third grade but not what she had for lunch the day before? OR remember all the words to a song from a movie I saw years ago, but I can't remember where I parked my car? Why is our retrieval so RANDOM like that? I guess we aren't in control, after all. We don't decide what will be retained and what will go out the window. If we don't, who does? (Twilight zone music plays, lol)

Come back little Sheba....lmbo! haha!

Robin123, is that the same as talking to yourself? They say it is okay as long as you don't answer yourself? Does that work with answering your own post, too? Just wonderin' lol!

<<<<< HopesAlive, Robin123, and Lymetoo >>>>>,

LOL, if I didn't laugh I'd cry and be hurtin' my sinuses.

Come back little Sheba...no no Sheba don't go up the cliff above the train tracks...they's all gone around the bend.

If I knew a decade ago, what I know now, I'd have had all my screen names the same. But...alas and alack...burping-a-long-brain here.

And passwords... OY... I still cannot keep them straight.

Well at least I haven't tried to put my t-shirt on where my jeans should go,lately, I did that in '08 . Glad I figured it out before I went outside...

Course I'm sure the neighbors already figured I was around the bend. All of them were as well..so TxC' and I should have fit right in!

Where we are at now is a little safer, maybe. And my neighbor friend knows I get confused easily.

Now hearing that's another matter. We were talking about actors. Neighbors friend mentioned something about Neil Patrick Harris in: "... Churning Caramel Butter...".

I was puzzled and asked what was " Churning Caramel Butter.'. Never heard of it.

After a good hearty laugh,TxC' explained that they had said . "How I Met Your Mother...". Course then it made me laugh as well.

Uhm really, it was windy, and the falling leaves were rustling, we were having sandwiches at the park at the end of our lane. I was crunching carrots,uh... kids were shouting... [Smile] .

Weeeell, and I am just a wee bit hearing impaired too. What can I say...

Zig Ziglar says its okay to talk to yourself. Its even okay to answer your self, but if you catch yourself saying "huh?" to your self......... then you've got a problem!

So as long as you aren't saying huh? you should be okay!

Laughter is what keeps us sane!

Like my husband and I tell each other "its either laugh or go crazy!" We choose to laugh.

And doesn't it say - a merry heart doeth good like medicine?

Somebody told me when you laugh big belly laughs, you give yourself a liver adjustment! So that has got to be a good thing.

Got to find something to laugh about everyday - think how much faster we'd get well! :-)

Zig Ziglar is one of my favorites! I used to listen to his tapes. Finally got to hear him speak in person a few years ago. He's 80+ now.

--as for passwords -- I keep all of mine in an address book --that way they are alphabetical.

<<<<< MannaMe, mom2kids, Robin123, Lymetoo >>>>>,

Thanks for replies!!!

My problem w/ writing things down,in a notebook, address book etc. is then I lose the notebook etc.

And I didn't have my bank password in my purse as what happens if someone steals the purse/wallet.

Course now ya know...it is said that normal hasn't been established yet !!! Not sure about sanity or the lack thereof.

Lately when I am typing topics/replies etc. I keep wanting to use my old screen name,or TxC's [we were on that now defunct board for close to a decade].

And spelling...fegedabadit... just now I got relies- er relpies...trying to spell replies...

Sometimes even the spell-check doesn't seem to know what I mean.

And looking up Surnames,on the web for genealogy fun... Well lets say some of my families surnames are rather unusual.

It gets downright funny when the query shows up... ex. --Did you mean Hens Laying,Henry,or Henway ,...for the name Henley. Uhm,nope it's Henly. Just things like that.

Could probably start a whole other topic on this one...

Silverwolfi the sily here
