hi everyone.. i was just wondering if anyone else is afraid to eat or sleep due to symptoms. i am afraid i will throw up or get sick with intestinal symptoms when i eat because of my symptoms. i have cut out whear gluten and sugar but i still feel so sick.
i am also terrified to sleep. i am afraid that due to my neuro symptoms i wont wake up. also ,when i do get some sleep, i often wake up feeling dizzy and scared and disoriented.
any tips would be great. i can go days without eating more than a few bites and sleeping only or 3 hours, and i worry this will affect my immune system.
thanks for the help. love, jess

I think you just have to find out what you can get down that doesn't bother you. What about juicing?
I kinda think we go on and on with symptoms, so I think you will wake up!
The main thing is to start getting some treatment. Have you contacted any of the doctors yet that people here sent you referrals for?

When I first got hit, and when I have terrible days, I can only do Ensure /water just to get by... I also just started ordering flavored coconut waters on Amazon. Real high C and potassium.

Sorry you are going through this. Yes, I have had these symptoms ..It is miserable. I finally had to get meds for anxiety which has helped so much. Not saying this is your case but it was mine I just didn't realize it.

A lot of this fear and anxiety could be caused by the illness...verdict is still out whether this really helps to deal with fears and worries at hand because the feeling is so real.
I too have found that taking anti-anxiety medication (.5 mg Lorezapam) does help me get through bad nights. This has been refered to as a "baby dose", but it does take the edge off and helps me get to sleep.
Baby steps...you'll get through this!
I just made a gluten free friend some creamy polenta...could this be your comfort food?

Anti anxiety meds. would be an option or try some guided visualization/meditation to sooth you mind. climber

Chastain sleep is good. Sleep is your friend. It helps you heal and when you sleep its time not to worry.
My stomach is raw and I too was at one time on ensure. Now when food doesn't sit well my husband makes me ginger tea from a ginger root. That settles my stomach.
We all worry lots and if we don't find a way to control our worries whether medicine or meditation if will adversely affect our health.
Stay in bed for a little while after you wake up. Then slowly sit up and stay in bed until you feel more comfortable getting up.
Like Erzulie says baby steps, Sending you a hug today Tomorrow is a new day.

From one Jess to another...it sounds like bartonella.
I had those same symptoms before I was diagnosed. You feel like if you go to sleep, you'll never wake up. No one understands what the hell you're talking about. For me, my breathing would slow WAY down and practically stop. And I'd be paranoid, freaking out inside that I was going to die. I really feel for you because I know exactly what it's like. THe right medicine will treat it
One word: LEVOQUIN at least 500 mg/day
It's the only thing that works for this IMHO

PS, juicing made me MUCH WORSE! Don't do it unless you are ready for extreme detox symptoms!
