My first round all I did was sleep. Like to the point my
husband was coming home from work to make sure I was still
breathing

If you've seen the remake of Arthur then you'll understand the next part. I would joke when he would wake me and say, "I have two library books that need returning."

Now I can't sleep at all, and the heat flashes are horrific. i haven't had these since my total hyst back in 2009. I'm on my second round of treatment.

I've been through so many ups and downs since my dx in July 2011.

I am having to learn to take it day to day. So hard for someone like myself who has always been such a meticulous planner.

Oh, and the food cravings are off the charts! I can't seem to eat enough carbs. SOOOOO BAD!!!!!! The "I can't remember" is coming in handy though. Most of the time I really cannot remember, but it sure is a nice tool to use when your ear is being talked off and then someone says, "Remember, I told you......." Ummm not I don't, I'm sorry.
So, here I am, rambling, because I have no attention span, I'm wide awake, and I have by now forgotten my point.

just wait two days ,as they say, it will change....

. my doc thought i had a bit of PTSD,,, that's some of it..

.but as these co-infections emerge ,die-off or just stand, there and thumb their noses at you, you try to get help.

..sometimes a ambien ,which seems stupid when you just spent 87% of the last three days in bed, sleeping, or trying to get to sleep so you don't have to feel the rest of the crap/or here it... [Mad] [confused] [bonk] [dizzy] [sleepy]

Yes, Lyme is very much like the Texas weather. One day hot, next day cold. Feast or famine.

Are you taking strong probiotics?? That should help the carb cravings.. also consider taking Nystatin during abx treatment to prevent candida/yeast.

Which abx are you on? Some are more likely to cause insomnia.

I was always "wired" so I feel for you!! I still have to take trazodone and Ambien to sleep.

while on a new IV the only thing that sounds good to me, after it has run, is Clemmy's Sugar Free, Gluten Free Almond Ice Cream....

Lots of carbs, but I am stuck on the food issue and do the best I can.

I've done really good today. I'm sure I'll have headaches the next few days from withdrawls. I was explaining to my daughter all the foods I'm trying to cut out and she said, But mom, that's all the good stuff!" She didn't need to remind me.
