hello everyone...i am still having difficulty sleeping. i am afraid of something bad happening in my sleep, a feeling that is reinforced by the fact that i invariably wake up every night after falling asleep for about an hour with sensations of vertigo, severe nausea and sometimes a dazed feeling accompanied by a heavy numbness in my limbs.
once i wake up sick, i become afraid that i will somehow die in my sleep, and then i cant sleep. i am averaging about 3 hours a night at most.
i am taking 0.5 of ativan twice a day, and while that takes the edge off having a panic episode, it isnt touching the sleep issue. i dont want to take a sleeping pill as i know they can have horrific side effects. any suggestions?
thanks again for putting up with my rambling. i feel so stressed and so freaking sick from these illnesses! heres hoping for a breakthrough soon-for all of us! thanks again. love, jess

Welcome to my world. I'm getting 6.5 hours a night. Guess that's not to bad. But I'm in bed by 10:30 and up between 5-6. Is that common?

I just about have to retire at Nine PM.....sleep for an hour,
wake up and listen to the Short Wave by the bed for a while,
eventually get back to sleep and wake up for the day at about
4 AM. Then I lay there till the alarm goes off at 5:15 AM.
For many years I lived on five hours total. This last six months or so i have been faling asleep at work. Luckily, i own the place.
