Please PM me your responses, so as not to unexpectedly affect the overall response pool:
Please contact me with the top three things your SPOUSE could do for you, that would make your Lyme experience more bearable. Dig down deep - what is it your spouse is NOT doing, that you wish they were, as you progress together (or not?) through this difficult time.
Fine if you respond with more than three, but please put them in order of priority, with the most important ones in the top three.
Thanks for your input!

Sorry, should definitely have included this info.
Research for a website specifically for spouses/caregivers of those suffering a tick-borne illness. No names or other information would be collected; merely a summary of the most prominent "needs" that spouses/caregivers usually miss.
Hoping to collect as many anonymous responses as possible. The website is not open to the public just yet, but will be in the next few days, at which time I hoped to announce it here.

Top thing for me is to take me seriously. Don't give me the look that says, "here we go again"..I feel that way too, but can't help the way I'm feeling. Next, is, I know you feel helpless as do I. I'm not asking you to "fix"me, just to listen. Don't resent the fact that I no longer can work and you still are working. I would work if I could. I'd love to be able to do that. I know you are tired of your job and want a new one..I am tired of being sick and would kill to be able to do your job.. My top 3 needs at this point.. I am very grateful that I'm past the point of spouse believing I'm sick, or bringing up ducks responses, or wondering if spouse will leave me if I get more disabled (Ie. wheelchair bound) I'm thankful to be past all this, as these were very scary times!

1. PLEASE educate yourself on MY disease 2. PLEASE help with things without waiting for me to ask 3. When you see me about to fall over from exhaustion, PLEASE offer help without me asking 4. When you offer help and I accept, PLEASE follow through and get things done so I can rest without worrying.
