Kimberly with lyme posted this on FB. I thought it was a good idea so wanted to start a thread here.
Good to focus on positive things when there are so many negative with having lyme and company.
Today marks 22 days until Thanksgiving, which means my status will include something I'm thankful for each day until Thanksgiving.
Want to join me and help flood our facebooks with little or big things we're thankful to God for each day?
I am thankful that I have a home to live in! I may not have the best decorated, best furniture, or the cleanest home, but I am truly thankful to have a HOME! Thinking of all of those who don't.

I am thankful for the warm winter clothes. When I first moved here my hands, feet, face, body would hurt from the cold when I took Rosie out to toilet viat he power chair.
My brain couldn't figure it out as I was wearing what i wore when I was well and use to stay in the Sierra's for 3 or 4 days in the snow.
But, with lyme and company our system changes.
I was gifted a pair of boots that I don't have to put on socks with and are easy for me to put on, a down coat that also covers my legs in the power chair so when I am out in the rain/snow the top of my pants don't get soaked and some mittens, and long johns and a pair of fleece pants.
All from cyber lyme friends. Thank you.
I had long johns but had went up in sizes so couldnt' wear my old ones.
I also was able to purchase a hat on ebay to keep my head warm.
Now, it is just my face that hurts when I am out and about 1st thing in the am.
Moved here in 2005. I think this is going to be the first winter I will be dressed warm enough.
When I was at the food bank on Monday, the weather came up. A lady said she liked the warmer weather as she did not have enough warm clothes for her kids.
I also saw a primary grad girl all hunkered down at the bus stop this am.
She had her arms pulled in under her sweatshirt and had the sweatshirt over her legs as she squatted.
I sure hope the bus came soon for her.
WE have something called Katie's closet here to help cloth the kids. People donate clothes.
But, I am not sure how a person gets in contact with them to get the clothes. I have just seen the boxes asking for donations.
I did not think of Katie's closet until after I left the food bank.

I'm so thankful for family, for my amazing husband and boys. For my parents who are here helping me out everyday. Mostly thankful my kids are healthy. I'm thankful for my belief that anyone can heal of any disease. That God created my body perfect and that perfection still exists within me, waiting to be found again.

What a good idea, to post something you are thankful for each day on fb. I think I'll wait until one week before, though.
Not that I can't find more than 7 things! I just think I'd annoy my friends doing more than that...

I read a good quote........
If you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday, what would you have??
I'm thankful for a freezer and jars well filled for winter. I'm thankful for the huge sweet potatoes we dug this evening. I'm thankful we finally found what my husband's health challenge really was, and have a LLMD nearby to work with.

I'm thankful that I have made it financially for over one year since I closed my business. I'm thankful that God made me a "saver," even though I didn't know what I was saving for.
I'm thankful that I'm able to work part time.
I'm thankful that I've improved physically from one year ago.

MannaME...The tune walking on sunshine seems to be showing up in my life a bit lately.
Sat, 20 days until THanksgiving
I am thankful Bountiful BAskets Co OP is only a mile away now and it looks like I will be doing well enough to go pick up my basket of fruits and veggies this am in about an hour.
Thankful pick up time is early to as my body and brain quit about 9 am.
Thankful for the car that will get me there too.
I was without a car from 2001 when I had to sell the car I was making payments on due to no longer being able to work until a friend donated her old 93 NIssan PF to me in 2007 when she purchased a new car.
It still took me about a year before health was doing well enough to drive it almost daily even if it was just for 5 min. Good medicine.

I am thankful for what I'm seeing happen here now - everyone who wants to can get fed - everyone's coming to the Occupy encampments and there's a ton of food because the public is donating it! It's something else - definitely a very new phenomenon is happening -

I am also thankful for the caregiver who vacuumed and swept/mopped the floors and dusted.
She also washed the pots and pans and baking dishes and put them away.
