My muscle control is getting worse. I tripped on a christmas box today and my knees are very bruised but I'm ok. Last month, I fell down a few stairs.

I'm still not sure I have ALS or lyme. I guess there's nothing I can do until I break a bone and end up in a wheelchair.

I feel like an old woman although I'm only 51.

I fell the other day over Christmas presents too!

I was right at the top of the stairs and was so glad I didn't tumble down the stairs.

I have this fear I will fall and land in some horrible position and the firemen who all look 18 will have to come and help me.

I am older than you....it becomes a real fear as we get older. Lyme makes it worse.

Has your doc said anything about it? Sorry if you posted info before, I don't retain much.

I fell recently as well and felt stupid, but hey what can you do. My shoulder hurt really bad the next day and I skinned my knee through my fleece pants. Everything is fine now. I have to be extra careful, especially in the mornings.

I am 46. I fell when I was 38 as well, and was put on a walker.
Hey, at least we aren't in wheelchairs. I had two or three docs tell me I would be before 40, so I'm thankful I'm not. I do have leg braces that I used to wear when I left the house. Even if I have to go back to wearing those, at least it won't be a chair..for now.

Hang in there, just remember to take it slow and be more careful. It takes some adjustment but it will help.
