Could anyone tell me thier experience with Cholystramine?
Had crazy bad neuro symptoms (thought I had given myslef ALS and Parkinsons) after my 1st month into treatment of Doxy. Felt as if I was litterally killing myself!
Took myself off of meds and now after a month, I am finally starting to feel back to my "normal yet sick" self (still in bed, but tremors are getting better, I can walk again and the feeling in my body is returning).
I am guessing I was sick from the extensive amounts of neurotoxins that built up in my body after a month of treatment? (Some also suggested that Bab or bart may have then decided to rear it's ugly head too).
Now that I feel like I am not dying anymore, I am starting treatment again. This time my LLMD wants to slowly add Mepron (I think, know this will help the bab/bart too, if that was the issue) and Zythro in addition to the doxy.
YIKES! Im scared!! I got SOOOO much sicker just from the doxy!
Ive read about how adding CHOLYSTRAMINE can help bind those neurotoxins from reentering your bloodstream~ how helpfull this can be.
BUT, I've also read how one can HERX really badly just on the Cholystramine alone.
I am interested in trying it when I start back up on my meds this week... but am not sure if it'll be a help or onlyl make me sicker yet?
What's your experience???
What else might I do, that's GENTLE, to help rid myself of those nasty neurotoxins when I start back on my abx?
THANKS ALL!
