just turned on weather channel,,,sounds like lots of damage but they say its limited to a 'narrow' band.

Half dozen buildings hit then a neighborhood east further.

No fatalities and just 'minor' injuries

i hope shes ok and everyone else down there

ive said this b4-pigwit lived in kansas to his 60s and never saw a tornado...except maybe the last year he was there...he said he might have driven thru one but was never sure

this year there have been so many in the winter!

maybe it wouldnt be smart for me to go south next winter in my little camper like i planned...

i hope we start hearing from them soon...maybe she'll call someone

we're fine!!! The town is a mess!!! We live about 2 mi from most of the damage. Slept right thru it. (how, I don't know!!)

The damage is bad, but the town should be up and running within a few weeks, for the most part.

Thanks for concern!! Very shocking.

HI DANQ!!!!! [hi] [hi]

Hey gang... danq is the one who designed my Tutus!!!!!

Yes, it was very upsetting this morning when I found out. My heart (literally) was not liking it. We've had a rough few days with other stuff going on so I guess that is why we both slept thru the storm.

Cant believe you can even post Tutu. Dont you lose electricity during ferocious storms like tornadoes???

Especially with ALL the trees in your area. We have far less trees and they always cause huge damage when wind whistles

I see there are lots of pics from your area, going to look at them tonight after work.

GLAD all people are safe in this mess. that includes you,,,and yours.

I know. You'd think I'd be totally freaked out. I guess it's still hard to believe.

I actually had chest pain while looking at the photos of the damage this morning though.

This morning's news shows there may be some more wild weather coming up in the next day or two. Keep a watch, and stay safe, Tutu.

<<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

Glad you are okay, be careful out there. The weather map for your area was really frightening, several states, dots representing tornadoes high winds etc..

Hope it calms down soon!!!

What started as a mild winter here in SE Idaho and surrounding areas, is 'going out like a lion'. High winds [hurricane force, at times], trees falling, homes damaged.

We can hope and pray that spring 'comes in like a lamb'!

Glad you guys are okay. Slept through it? I thought I was the only one that could do that.

Even though Louisville didn't get tornadoes....if there is action in the state it goes right through me. About 50 miles away and I felt it from head to toe.

For hours I thought my head was going to explode from the pressure. Ky folks lucky that it was during mid morning hours. Those in the night tornadoes, seem to cause more deaths.

More bad bad stuff expected tomorrow (Fri). Oh my!

Pam

OH my. I drove down about 1 mile of the damaged area. Unbelievable. MY health food store is GONE. Totally demolished. The roof is caved in and the workers were visible in part of the store since there was NO roof there.

They were trying to salvage what they could. (my "friends" too!) I've shopped there for 16 years!!!

Right out front of the demolished bldg is a completely intact billboard.

hmmm.. It's all brick, Robin. Was it Nature's Sunshine?

kayak.. no storms here on the second round

Saw more damage in the downtown area today. Saw a house moved off its foundation. Several homes had trees on their roofs or in their yards.

I have a friend who has two rent houses that were damaged. The house off its foundation was two doors down from one of his houses.

May drive down the rest of the main drag tomorrow. There is quite a bit I haven't seen.

I think they said it was Nature's Sunshine - meaning the white siding belonged to some other building that blew away?

Means alot to have a basement in the area, doesn't it?

or it was the inside walls which were exposed

There was a sign that blew onto their debris that was white. It was from about 100 yds away.

I guess it was the same place, because it's the only health food store that was destroyed. We only have two in town! I don't like the other one. It's a Vitamin World. Only good for some things.
