Thx ALW

DRove out to the trailhead this am. 5 min in, rest on log, 5 min out.

A heavy walk...difficult ..but legs moving OK.

use some of my energy to walk into circle K to get some coffee to drink while sitting on the log.

Not a good choice of energy use.

[group hug]

Able to run two errands this am:

1. To the cable place to see about getting the TV I got from the free table here at the apartments working in my bedroom.

I recall asking if there was a charge for someone coming out and not getting an answer.

I was able to walk in but not able to walk out very well. Hoping there is no charge and the TV works.

I know I need the box to get it going. I would like to be able to watch netflix movies while in bed...the bed supports by body better than the couch.

So confused as what I need to do for that. Move my VCR in the bedroom I guess.

First step is to get the TV going. I hate it that my brain does not trouble shoot like it use to.

The good news is it has been months since i have been able to run this errand and finally was able to do it.

I also was able to go to the computer business in town to see about getting the audio fixed on my computer.

Able to walk in and sit down as I did at the cable place. Had a great deal of difficulty walking out.

They are coming for $20 to give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix it.

They said they usually charge $62.00 to come out but this is an est only...no fixing.

Not sure if that means I still need to take in the computer to get it fixed or if they will unplug it and take it in for me or not...

First step is to see how much it is going to cost.

I have been without audio for months too so thankful I was finally able to run that errand.

Someone had ran into the handicap parking sign at the business. It helped me make that step from the curb to the street to get in the car because it was bent towards me.

The building also had ..not sure what to call them...but every few feet there was a stack of bricks that I could hang on to to help me get back to the car.

Having trouble with thoughts in my head this am. I keep talking to myself trying not to beat myself up.

And to be thankful for what I am able to do this am.

Time to veg now. I am at that point where if I keep trying to do things it just will not happen.

so I may be without a compute for a while. Did I say that?

OK, this may be cheating, but I'm counting it as exercise...

I did a long overdue color touch-up on my hair. A bit of a challenge with my bad arm, but I'm happy to say it's done. As am I.

LOL jimmy. I think last month was the first time since my health really went south in 2001 that I tried the color thing.

It is a workout. [Smile]

I just had breakfast aand took my pills, then looked at the clock 2:30 pm.

wow. What happened. Where did the time go? Why was I able to do so much more this am than "norm"

Me thinks it had a bit to do with the coffee I had this am....it said something about extra strong. HA!

who knows?? I just know I am still wired brain wise but moving the body wise and making decisions...nope...not a good idea

phyl...looking good. I use my power chair to get to the mailbox here. [Smile]

One of those mornings where I most likely would still be in bed if it were not for needing to get Rosie out to toilet.

AFter I took the 2 excedrin, rested and got dressed, I was doing well enough to drive to the trailhead.

Did the 10 min loop. Enjoyed being in the forest today until the last part of it.

Still recovering from that short, incline back to the car.

Also able to walk into the circle k this am and get more coffee. The kind I had yesterday said super charged on the handle.

We shall see if it was the coffee that allowed me to do more than "norm" yesterday. I hope so.

I would like to do a few more things today.

I'd like to find my checkbook??

I'd like to find my new box of checks.

I'd like to hear from the bank about how to protect my acct until I can figure out if the check book is lost or I just misplaced it.

Phyl, Kam, good job on getting out and about.

I just took a short walk through the woods. I was thinking about how walking was so much easier now. My lymie feet and legs used to make it difficult, but that's something that has greatly improved for me. Either that or the problems just migrated to my arm. Hah.

You know, between all of us, we probably have enough working parts to team up and make at least one whole healthy person, true? Tutu has that nice big car, so she can be the driver. She can wait in the car and I'll run into the store and get stuff for Kam to make chicken and brown rice casserole.

We can swing by and pick up AlaskaLoneWolf, and come on over and be merrymaids at Kam's, while she makes us lunch. We'll take Kam and Rosie and all of us will go over to Kayak's house, where she can help us with our taxes.

Pity we all live so far apart, what with the cost of gas and all.

Hi there gang!

Well, I recovered nicely from cleaning my Mom's. BTW, her house is CLEANER than mine. Between cleaning her house and my yardwork, my own house isn't as clean as I'd like it to be.

Kam-I sure could have used some of that super-charged coffee yesterday. I was beat after the weekend. Had to work 8-1 yesterday and it took everything I had not to fall asleep at work.

TuTu-You got that right! Anything to do with hair counts as exercise. Between coloring, cutting, fixing, spraying, etc. it could be a whole other job.

Jimmy1-Yes, we might not can do much else, but our hair looks fab! I got mine cut pretty short so it cuts down on the primping time.

Phyl-I used to drive to my mailbox back in the day. So YEAH! for the 2 minute walk!

Hey did someone mention lunch? [lick]

You all can come by anytime.

[hi]

my tax money was in the bank about 24 hrs and now is gone but my credit card balance is lower

ive had a lot of trouble walking but go to get my new orthotics in an hr...i sure hope they work

i didnt hurt worse after using elliptical for 2 min last week...and i lost 3 lbs the next day!!!

but i havent been back on...but i hope i will soon-maybe if orthotics take pain away. every step i feel i am going to break my right ankle

ive been emotional about a kid thing again...my youngest son is due to get his doctorate at the end of april and it is a 1000 mile trip plus dealing with city. i cant do it alone and it seems no family members can help me either. i am very sad. i am thinking of hiring an escort of some kind...i am so proud of my son. i really want to see this. but it is so complicated

KAM-the tv, cable and computer stuff is sooooo complicated for me too. i pay so much money for it and hardly get to use it cuz i cant figure it out. i was really happy when i found a computer guy who worked for 35. an hour and understood me enough to keep it simple...but that was after losing 400. in one hr in nj and not being able to use anything for a long time

i hope you get good help so your life is easier

if anyone who knows anyone within an hour of chicago---eaast or south would be better...could you put me in touch? i think i could drive (highway or back road driving) close to chicago. then would have to leave my camper someplace and get picked up or take public trans in...

Hi gang! I walked for 30 minutes around the duck pond after work yesterday and will try it again today.

TuTu-You're the first on my list for house cleaning. I'd be happy to lend a hand. [Wink]

Kayak-I wish I could lose some weight, but it just keeps finding me. [Big Grin]

See you all later!

30 minutes around the duck pond yesterday and looks like it won't rain so I'll walk the pond today too.

Kayak-I hate it when I can't sleep. I take a natural sleep remedy chased with a glass of wine. OK, maybe I don't really need the wine....

Walked around the duck pond for about 30 minutes. It's raining today but I brought a t-shirt to change into if it stops.

Friday is casual day so I'm wearing jeans and tenny's already. Just have to change out of my company shirt and hit the trail.

See you all later!

good to see you tutu

hope things start getting better

i just read on dr K's site that sarsaparilla should help with lyme related degenerated discs and facet joint arthritis

i have both and it is the first time in all these yrs i saw a reference to facet arthritis in relation to lyme

not sure if it might help some of your back/neck problems

i started gse today and so far no problem...i was a little afraid of the herx others talk about

i stopped the doxy i had been on for a few months when i got sunburned...and even after i stopped i felt pretty good

i may go back on doxy with the gse or may finish my parastroy...

and im thinking of going back on buhner teq just for maintence...we'll see

i had to go to even bigger shoes today with new orthotics...my step in bean snow boots...i thinbk my feet just need to adjust

no real exercise except moving a chair and trying to clean up clutter

had a frustrating talk about brain mri tho...i just dont want the chemicals...and they think iam nuts.

neuropsyc is sceduled for 4/10

plan to clean a lot tomorrow...elliptical if sharp ankle pain isnt too bad

they look and feel really good...but b4 i got them my right ankle startedwith a sharp pain...almost feels like it will break if i step on it...it is a little better with orthotics but not all better

we are hoping as time goes on it will get all better

hoping it is cuz i went 4 months with out the orthotics

also..i have to use big shoes...not sure if that will get better as time goes on..

they look really sturdy and do feel good...its just the scarey ankle pain..also my "knees" are sort of collapsing...anyway...it is common to have to take time to get used to them

hope you get straightened out soon

Kayak..thanks for thinking of me. I too have been sleeping at night and during the day.

Not feeling human until about after 3 pm ...then able to get dressed.

Reminded me of those days when this first hit where I was not able to even get up to eat and had to lie there until after 3 pm or so.

So only exercise has been getting Rosie out to toilet via the power chair. Just the movement that I need to do that wears me out.

Hope to read more of how you all are doing sometime today when able.

short trip to dog park

stopped to look at house that was for sale on the way home..walked down the walkway to the front porch and then around the side to the back area and back.

That did me in. It was fun. Paintings under the eaves on the front porch covering. I could see paintings on a wall in one of the bedrooms.

It is a historical house on Main st. It was used for a State Farm or Farmers office.

Nice decking in the back. Sign said it was one of the first homes in the area to have wiring in the walls instead of laying on the floor or wherever they were in the beginning.

Home has been refurbished. I think the original built date was 1915.

I wanted to see more but too weak this am to be on my feet long.

I did notice that the first thing you would see when you walk into the front door was a standing stove.

They had an old pot on it for coffee. Cute. I recalled my time in the old cabins at SEquoia/Kings Canyon Park.

They were heated with standing stoves.

Kam, that little 1915 house sounds so fun!

We just returned from a nice long bike ride, about 6 miles. The jasmine and gardenias are blooming everywhere. Delightful. Didn't set any speed records, but I am nevertheless worn out. Time to go flop in a chair.

Take care, everybody!

my mom loved gardenias. at the end the only things she enjoyed were smelling and listening to music. abnormal onset alzheimers they said. yeah right. when she lived most of her life in ct.

anyway...kinda slow today. the ankle didnt hurt when i woke up...soon it did so i stayed in my chair and did some sewing and reading a tv. my brother came and moved a few things to the cellar and switched out the summer curtins for me...now there is a snow squall going on so i cant see 2 streets away. but spring has got to be coming...

i also made a batch of buhner tea...i found the herbs and figured why not...i only have enough for 2 more batches...we'll see how i react to it and decide if i should order more. im thinking th answer might be to just keep switching it up to confuse the critters that are still in me.

the snow flakes are so big...etta is barking at them from her window!

i dont see much exercise happening today. i really need a shower and to wash my hair but i willl have to use the chairr. might make an egg casserole-but again will have to do it from the wc

hope everyone had a good day...i dream of bike rides and long paddles and walks by the ocean...

Just able to read tutu post right now. Wow. Love the smell of gardenia's.

One of those mornings where I was not able to get dressed until after 3 or move.

Then I was able to take a shower, and put 2 loads of laundry in resting in between.

Wtg for the dryer now. Heart is pounding while moving to do the laudnry even though I head down the hall in my power chair.
