Hi <<<<< Lyme Family >>>>>,

My Aunty Nan is dying, and I am so sad right now... we got the call this evening.

She had cancer on the roof of her mouth, but was getting better... it started growing again ,and has gone to her brain [she has never been a smoker].

We had so much hope that she would be able to enjoy her last years with her family close by... the Doctors have given her approximately two weeks.

We lost uncle in 2007,and my parent, the sibling in 2008...

Sadly we are far enough away, that we cannot travel to be with my cousins.

It is to risky health wise for TxCoord to even try right now, and not advisable for me either.

I guess fighting the flu, is making me even more emotional than normal ,between bouts of numbness if that makes any sense...

Jus' Sad,sleepy Silverwolfi tonight...

I heard from Silver's cousin this morning and they are only giving her days maybe weeks. It has gone into her brain stem.

Please keep Silver in prayer as this is just stacking on her. Thanks for the prayers.

Hi Lyme Family,

<<<<< aperture, lyme918, my TxC', momindeep, Lymetoo, and randibear >>>>>,

Thanks so much for prayers, kind tho'ts, and hugs!

I am sitting here trying to think of some good things in all of this sadness...

<<<<< TxCoord, my hubby >>>>>, Thanks for posting the update ,We are praying for Aunty not to have severe pain, the cousins said it was bad.

I was thinking that it is a good thing that we don't have a dangerous fire raging on the hills behind us,as happened this last August,

when my Paternal Aunt died [and the day of her funeral we got notice that Hubby's eldest brother had died].

Right now we are only under a flood watch... at least we know the rivers are high. In spring 2009 when it flooded, we also had a land slide ,the hills behind us let loose a torrent of mud.

Okay better things... As much as we will miss Aunt, when God calls her home she will not ever have to deal with pain or sadness again. No pain, that can be a good thing!

We have TxC's paternal Aunt in Alabama, she's 90, not quite as elderly as your Aunt, Lymetoo.

Then we have his maternal Uncle down South as well, he is early 80's,with a tumor growing under his skin, near his ear[or between it and brain?]. Uncle has refused any more procedures.

I try not to dwell on the fact that they are slipping away one by one.We have some precious memories and that's a good remembrance to think on!

Thanks again to each one who replied and all who are praying!!!

Jus' Silverwolfi and TxCoord too!

Can you call your Auntie? Send flowers, a card, or old family pictures that she might enjoy seeing?

I lost my Dad's sister last year, and I'm so glad I was able to speak with her long distance a couple of times, and visit her once, before she passed over. I am so glad that I happened to be in the old home town for her last birthday... at least she didn't spend it alone - as usual - with her two boys so far away.

I feel for you. It is hard to lose family members one by one, as we grow older. Do what you can for her now, as it will be a comfort to you later. God Bless.

<<<<< AuntyLynn >>>>>,

Thanks for suggestions, and the kind reply! We probably wouldn't be allowed to speak to her, she is so very ill and in great pain...

But, [Smile] , I can send loving regards and some memories via my cousins, if Aunty is able to hear thru the pain and meds...

I wish we had some pictures... but I have some great memories!! We didn't get to see my Aunty and family very often, but she is a really cool lady !!!

Aunt worked with a lunch program in the schools ,and was even a radio DJ some years back in a small town!

I developed a love for Corn Beef Hash from my Aunt...don't know the recipe, but there was lots of love in it !!!

And lots of loving-kindness showed in Aunty's life. One of my grandparents stayed w/her and Uncle for some years before they passed on.

So many memories...even tho' we didn't get to see one another very often.

<<<<< aperture and DKat >>>>>,

Thanks for the tho'ts and prayers, and kind words.

Bittersweet, is how TxC' and I were describing this.

This is the hard thing... because it is happening almost every year since 2000 and so many happen on or near special Holidays.

Our prayer has been to help the families thru these times, and may be have a small break between deaths to ready ourselves... because...

.2000 spring an Aunt died,in spring [cancer].
.2001 MIL died.
.2002 Grt. Aunt-in-law died [her husband, grt. uncle had died some years prior]
.-2003-4-, two close friends passed [car accident, cancer].
.2005 my FIL passed.
.2006 youngest Bro.-in-law passed, [massive heart attack at age44].March 1st
.2006 also My UncleJ. also passed in March.

[in 2006 ,I found out I had Lyme and Co's,and am still battling,as so many are.]

.2007 Uncle Z.[husband of Aunty-in-law I just lost] passed Christmas season.
.2008 one of my parents passed Mothers day weekend.
.2009?? .2010 Dec. day after TxCs's Birthday, my Fav.Uncle-in-law died in car accident].

...[also- 2009 thru 2011- we went thru the some of hardest events, of our lives, loss of TxC's health and ability to work and three major surgeries ...

,plus a heart procedure, and a dangerous heart test. The loss of his health and career abilities was a form of death.].

.2011 ,while we were waiting to find out if we needed to evacuate from a wildfire, Paternal Aunt died, day of her funeral in August. TxC's eldest Bro. Died.
.2012 ,Easter Aunt in law has died.

In the 2000's 1st decade we also lost my Godmother/foster mom...there are more but my brain can't quite compute right now.

Pretty much each year we are losing one or more... and a way back to my 15 birthday, My fav. Grandpa died early a.m my birthday.

I try not to be sad, but wish we had time to grieve and recover somewhat between these deaths. I don't know if the Lyme and Co's make it more difficult to process...tho' I figure so...

Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, and Mothers day are all rather bittersweet...now.

I know we've come into that time of life where this happens more and more... just wishing it had happened less often in a decade and two years time.

Silverwolfi...sad today.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo >>>>>,

Thanks for the kind condolences! Easter is a precious day ... but I do feel that bittersweet right now.

When my grandmother passed mid 1980's, it was in summer not long after graduation ceremonies had occurred. I kept thinking 'Well she's graduated from this life to the next.'.

I miss them all... but I know I'll see them again too!!!
