we're supposed to leave for the caribbean tomorrow morning at 5:30. so i make the usual last minute run to walmart to get stuff like listerine, etc.
i get home, a 15 minute drive, and guess what? i left my purse in the cart at the store. inside the purse: 3 credit cards, 1 debit card, one military id, health card, costco card, sams' card, checkbook, his and my passport, and 1500 in cash. sunglasses, prescriptions and regular glasses. plus the purse was over 300 dollars.
i was crying, shaking, panicking big time. we couldn't go without those passports, and all my identity was in that damn purse.
i turned around, drove 90 miles an hour and ran into the store like a mad woman. i went to customer service, interrupted this sale return, and gushed "OMG, i left my purse, has anyone seen it?"
YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS, REALLY!! she reached down behind the counter and said "this purse?" the passports, money, glasses, military ids, credit cards, everything was all there. not a cent was touched.
i asked who turned it in and they didn't get the name. i was so thrilled i got the store manager to page the woman tho turned it in, we waited at least 30 minutes and he kept paging but no one came.
i wanted to reward them because they saved my life literally.
can you believe that? not a cent taken. i could just see my slashed up purse in the parking lot with everything stolen.
omg!! my angel has been working overtime this week. i swear, if i make it on that ship, it will be a miracle.
plus the doctor's office called and said the test for temporal arteritis was negative. no sign of inflammation. and then me driving around all those tornadoes to get home.
man, it's been a week. somebody has truly been watching out for me.
thank you Lord!! i know i've been a trial, but thank you...

That's awesome! Enjoy your trip!
I once left my engagement ring and wedding band in the dressing room at the YMCA and didn't realize it till after then going out for dinner and then driving halfway home.
It's a big diamond and someone turned it in! I couldn't believe it! I thought my husband was going to divorce me. I took the rings off to apply lotion to my daughter after her shower after her swimming lesson.

Tickled.. my mom lost her engagement ring and/or wedding band several times because she took them off to put lotion on! I never take my wedding band/diamond off. Never.
PS.. she always got them back.. once was back in the early 50's .. a chicken almost got the ring.. that is when her aunt noticed a sparkle in the gravel!!!
