Whenever I have tried to post for the last ~3months, I have got the message that my IP has been banned.

Since I post here so rarely, I really can't think of anything that I may have posted to get me banned (and I never received any complaints or anything)

I've sent out several emails to try to get this fixed, but not received any response. I am hoping this works, because I am on a public computer and not my home computer.

If it does, could someone help me out with getting my home IP address unblocked?

Thanks!

Okay, what I'm going to do is "report" your post here, to draw it to the attention of the moderators.

Hopefully they will be able to forward it to the right person!

I think that sometimes an IP gets banned by mistake.

The same thing happened to me last year when we switched cable/Internet providers. It took months & months of unanswered emails before it finally somehow was resolved. Good luck.

I just forwarded Carol's report to the admins. IP's get recycled, so at some point in time yours must have been used by someone who got banned.

Sorry your emails weren't answered .... I never received one.

Nope. Since I posted on a library computer, the IP address associated with my actual computer wasn't un-banned.

My IP address is:
(took it off)

Thank you for helping!

Nicole_Denise, yesterday Lou sent you an email asking you for your IP address. In the meantime the webmaster did some things he thought would fix the problem, but not for a specific IP. Did you ever send Lou your IP? I'll send it to him now in case you didn't.

You have Lou's email address since he contacted you. It might be quicker if you respond directly to him. As it is, you post here, then I don't see it until someone else reports the post as I'm not on the board every day.

I don't mean this to sound bad or anything, I'm just trying to help you get the problem fixed more quickly.

I'm not well-versed on computer things, but I think it may not be a good idea to post your IP address on this public forum.

The email must have gone into my spam...I will look for it. But I will also try to post this. And I took my IP address down- I should have realized it wasn't a good thing to post, but it totally skipped my mind, and then I totally forgot I had posted it!
