I know a lot of people have worse situations then me.

I just realized I will be sick still at the end of Sept. I planned for 2 yrs a trip for my 40th BD and we leave the end of Sept. [cussing] [Frown]

sigh - just in self pity mode and wishing at this point I could reschedule

Yeah, it's crummy.

Why can't you reschedule? But, then, it's hard to know just when would be the perfect time. Still, do consider that possibility if you are feeling very ill with treatment.

I have suffered for months after traveling at times. Big mistakes, in retrospect. I had a traveling job, too, and took many tumbles at the airport luggage loops when they made me dizzy just trying to find my suitcase.

But, before I became too ill and was only moderately so, I did manage to travel okay and it worked well but I just couldn't do all I wanted. Still, good memories of some places.

Or see if your LLMD can adjust your treatment plan (maybe alternate with very specific herbs, etc.).

Or can you plan different activities, ways to take care of yourself during your travels? That has worked for some here who alter their plans and add it nurture time, careful foods that are still delicious, etc.

Need suggestions for travel comfort if your inner/middle ear is affected?

Suggestions if scents, smoke or chemicals clobber you?

What kinds of information might make this work?

Can you find a good concierge at each point along the way -- or personal travel guides to arrange in advance?

I going to Negril, Jamaica- staying on the cliff side [Smile]

I just did a BIG 2 weeks of doxy on 100mg twice a day- I am waiting to see a LLMD but in mean time have convinced my general doctor- since she thinks I am negative with only two bands

to sign off on testing at IgeneX lab. maybe I will be able to start more and stronger meds but wont that be great, side effects and herxing while in Jamaica

I am always just so tired. At least it will be relaxing, well no work I mean.

I just do not know how I will be at the end of Sept, I already paid for it all. I cannot see wasting all of that money at this point.

I know its trival but the no alcohol too...I pictured myself sitting on the cliffs with my glass of wine in my hand and no cares in the world [Frown]

Thanks all for listening

You need to switch off of doxy, too sun sensitive. Ceftin or Mino would work.

Some of my family is from Jamaica. Once I can afford it, I am going to take my kids there.

Fatigue might be from Babs. And, you probably can't drink, but that does leave more calories for food, so not all is lost.

Happy early birthday!!!

Take a medication vacation!!! And definitely do NOT try to take doxy there!

The closer you are to the equator the brighter the sun....and the higher the risk of taking something like doxy!!

I decided afew years back to go ahead and schedule/do things even though I don't know how I'll be feeling. We went to Jamaica last year; the trip getting there was pretty tiring. The day we arrived I felt terrible and thought I'd made a big mistake. But a nap, bottle of water, and snack later I was doing well and having fun. I ended up feeling great the whole week we were there. Had a fabulous time and made wonderful memories. I hope you will be able to go.

Did you take any of your meds with you? Was it an issue with customs if you did ?

Meds should be fine as long as they are in the prescription bottle. I had my LLMD put a note for traveling last time I got on a plane. This is only necessary, I think, if you use carry on. If you put in your suitcase (in the prescription bottle), you should be fine.

Lots of folks are on some sort of medication, not so out of the ordinary.

You may find that the less wi-fi, more barefeet in the sand and less stress could do you wonders.
