Hey everybody!! How's your Monday shaping up?? So far, so good??
My husband goes back to work today, so I may have to drive to the grocery store. Can't push a basket or walk far, but I can pick up a few things. He needs to go shopping again! (not his favorite thing to do)

My husband pushed me in the wheelchair at the grocery store today. Thanks, hubs!!
My feet are still a bit angry about being over-used last Thursday.
GRRR.. still better than a month ago though.
I hope you guys can come up for air soon!!!

Ahoy gang, I'm proud to announce some very exciting "exercise". I just walked the garbage out. No wheelchair, no crutches. First time in a couple months!
Wishing you all a good week!

Tuesday-Down for the count......
Friday Rocky fell on the porch and I tried to pick him up but couldn't. He eventually was able to get up.
Saturday after cleaning for 4 hours I hurt my back.
The two combined is what did me in.
Went to the walk in clinic Sunday and got a shot of cortisone and some anti-inflammatories. Already had pain pills and muscle relaxers which weren't helping much.
Thank God I'm back at work today cause I really can't afford not to work.
Thinking exercise might be out of the question this week.
BTW, went to Irish Bred Pub and had their beef stew, salad and a Guiness Stout. That was the highlight of my weekend.
See you all tomorrow!

jimmy....yep...prettty cool
ALW..ouch...tough ones.
But, the food did souond good.
I was able to get out in the great outdoors this am.
Drove 15 miles from home. Unloaded hte power chair and cruised around on a dirt road in the forest for est 5 min then back
It was good to be there.
Body is in pain now but it is also veg time...when the body and brain don't co operate until after 4 or 5 pm.
I was on my feet in the ma and pa health food store.
Went to get local eggs but was reminded that the hens don't lay when it is hot. I recall that happening last year.
I had my peltor ear muffs on when I went in the store. It helps block out sounds as brain struggles to walk and process sounds.
I can't do both.
Nice and quiet in the forest. Rosie needs less exercise now. It is still fun to watch her having fun. She is such a happy camper when she is off leash and able to explore in the forest.
She doesn't go far from me...just gets off the dirt road and goes along the edges of the forest along side of me then back near me then back running and sniffing the edges.

Last evening my husband took the old pick-up truck up the back field lane to take pictures of the sunset.
He's venturing out a little farther as he feels better. Still not ready for road driving - dealing with too much "tipsy" babs yet.

Hurray! Sounds like good medicine to me MannaME.
Able to kind of vacuum in the small room. Hoping to be able to wrap the cord to the vacuum up some time today.
Able to put away the few dishes I washed a day or two ago.
And fill the sink full of hot sudsy (well ..nto sudsy as I am out of soap) water to let them soak.
Drove Rosie out to the forest at dawn. She had a good run while I drove.
Took out trash via power chair to dumpster.
Body is in pain this am and it is almost 10 am so that is probably it until maybe this evening.
Hoping to order some turmeric the first of the month to help with pain. I know it will take a while or assume it will take a while to kick in.
I recall being asked if I had nerve, joint, bone, muscle pain, etc. The docs have wanted to know which it is and I wasn't able to tell them.
I just know it hurt. Today, I was thinking it is all of the above...just different at different times.
Thankfully, I have a netflix movie to watch.

We in MO are looking forward to Isaac's arrival. We need the rain badly. Poor Gulf Coast area is in big trouble. They are expecting 20-30 inches of rain before it's all over with.
I'm sure Louisiana would love to send Isaac on his way RIGHT NOW!

Thursday-Some improvement in the shoulder finally.
TuTu-Doing my own massage and come Friday will take some more pain pills and muscle relaxers. Can't take that stuff during the week and go to work.
Kayak-Did you say you're making stew? Got some Osteo-BiFlex for Rocky. Might try him on some of that and generic Remicade. Hopefully he'll get better. I've had him on something from Petco for about 3 months and it doesn't seem to be helping too much.
Glad to hear that your place is getting spruced up.
Kam-Thanks for the hugs. I sure could use them. Finally I'm not in so much pain as I was since Saturday.
So no exercise for me this week.
See you all tomorrow!

Kayak...looking forward to hearing about your trips to the beach this fall.
Able to kind of clean the toilet bowl, kind of clean the bathroom sink and kind of clean the bottom of the shower.
Scrubs the shower floor twice as my arms are weak and not able to give it a good scrubbing once.
Most likely could use another scrubbing.
But, very rare for me to be able to do these things.
I also got gas in the car this am and loaded and unloaded the power chair. Cruised around on the forest streets for est 10 min.
Rosie was not ready to get in the car yet so I drove while she ran for a bit.
Wanted to go to the grocery store this am but brain and body were not up to that. Maybe tomorrow

Took me awhile to figure out it most likely was due to yesterday's activity...hurting more than norm.
I was able to take out the trrash, drive Rosie ot the forest and let her stretch her legs while I drove...past two times I haven't enjoyed bing there due to how I felt...hopefuly next time will be better.
I also makde the lemon drink...forgot the se asalt so I need to get up and put in the salt and close the windows and start the air.
But, I also need to lie here awhile longer to sumon up the strength to move my body wtihout feeling like I am going to toss my cookies.

Woohoo on the legs, kam!! Are you like me .. not much hair left?? (thank goodness!) It's hard for me too because of my feet and back...ugh. But I have very little hair (only have hair on my shins) and it is blonde.
So I can get away with it pretty easily.
I am having pain today... various places. Not very happy. Feet are lousy.
Let's have a good day, anyway!

Had company for supper Friday evening. Hubby was able to stay up till the last ones left at 9:30 !!!
Normally in such a long evening he would have to go lie down for awhile, then come back to the party.
He was getting pretty "fuzzy" till they left. But we all enjoyed our evening. Had a really good time.

Things are looking up in my life. I went to my daughters last week and drove 40 miles each way for 5 days for allergy treatments. I gathered up my two grandsons Friday afternoon and drove 5-1/2 hours home. I was shot. Went to bed early and got up and was walking a 5K run/walk at 7:30 a.m.on Sat. I spent the rest of the day just resting and let the kids play video games. We we bowling Sat night. Again, went to bed early and got up went to church, fixed lunch, laid around until about 5:00 and my other two grandson came over for supper. Hubby helped, we fed them and played outside. I feel like things are finally getting better. Last year at this time I could not even drive myself 9 miles to town and home again. I am so grateful I didn't crash like usual from all this activity. I have been on nystatin and then diflucan. It seemed to have made the difference. Still very unsable, but enjoying life again to a certain degree. Still have pain and icky parts of days, but at least I am better.

Body was still in more pain than norm this am.
Took 2 excedrin
able to drive Rosie out to the forest to let her run
Able to get a load of laundry in
Able to clean up a bit in the kitchen
Doing a little, resting and then doing a little more.
Able to water the potted plants in the hallway outside my apartment.
It is not any fun anymore. I am thinking of putting a sign on them....take me...or finding some nice pots to put them in and sale them so I can get some plants that will work out front along the ramp for my power chair.
Wish the plants I have would work but they can't handle the hot and cold.
