Just need to vent. Had it out with my son today over a homework assignment. Nothing is easy with this kid...

He wears me out. Thanks for listening. [cussing]

Its only the second week of school, and we've got the same problems here! We get very worn out too...

We try to keep things light and humorous, but sometimes you just want to give them a good whack on the head and ask 'why don't you just do it so you can go on and do other fun stuff instead of spending so much time complaining about it??'

Yes, thanks for the vent...

At least we can commiserate with each other. [group hug]

Tutu, yes I have read that book. I love Dr Dobson, great advice.

My girls, it is EVERY night that they have aches and pains. Somehow, they press through the day but night time is rough, rough, rough.

My husband and I pulled them out of school because my oldest daughter was having so much trouble.

I question every decision I make. Is their stomach aches because I am treating with antibiotics or is it due to a co-infection.

None of their tests were that conclusive. All the doctors (except LLMD) say it is just stress from my illness.

We are in counseling but it does not seem to improve their physical symptoms.

How do I know that I am not making things worse by giving them antibiotics?

So I can totally relate

soccermom, I know how you feel; I second guess myself all the time.

Ha! I laugh because last Monday I started the What are You Thankful For? thread and this Monday I sent everyone to school in tears, my daughter fought with me all night about homework and my headaches are excruciating again. Joke's on me!

Seriously though, my oldest has never been good with homework and it's a struggle every night. It started the first week of school and I'm worn out already.

Lymetoo... thanks for mentioning the Strong-Willed Child book. I think I will get it.
