I contracted Lyme Disease in 1987, never was diagnosed until 1989; got very sick. Over the years I have been on IV abx sometimes for over a years at a time. I have had 5 terrible relapses; needless to say I have chronic Lyme. About tthree months ago I started feeling very ill again. Many old symptoms, some crazy new ones, and many of my "old" illnesses that I thought were gone havecome back. I need three surgeries, but I have just gotten clean from Mega doses of pain pills 4 months ago and I have no immune system so I can't take care of those problems until I get my new relapse (I don't think my Lyme ever went away, just different plateus of health for a shor time) treated. I am sick and tired of being sick. The world and my family thi nk that I am healthy now, I can't even tell anyone I am so sick and getting sicker. Last June I turned 66 years old. I thought getting off the Methadone and Oxycodone was going to give me a new lease on life and be healthy for a change.. guess what...I just don't know how I can get thru it one more time. This time I don't even know which LLMD I should go to or if I will ever get an appointment or how I will once again pay for it. I am getting very depressed and can not even completly wrap my head around all of it. I am sure I have some coinfections that were never treated. Just don't know I am so tired of it all.

If you'd like to begin treating yourself, look into cat's claw and systemic enzymes.
Systemic enzymes reduce fibrin in the blood, and the cat's claw stimulates the white blood cells to phage bacteria.

Also look into Berberine.
Wikipedia has a good page about it.
Marnie and Keebler have posted about it.

Berberine has antibiotic properties.
I am noticing definite improvements with it.

Think about adding magnesium and trace minerals.
The buzzing and tingling is called paresthesia, and is a symptom of magnesium deficiency.

The Lyme bacteria lives in the nerves, but you can reduce some of the symptoms.
A good quality B complex can help.
Sublingual B12, methycobolamine, reduced my peripheral neuropathy within hours.

Liver support is crucial, as the liver needs the building blocks for glutathione in order to detoxify the neurotoxins left behind by the dead Lyme bacteria.

Magnesium
Fish oil, omega 3's
CoEnzyme Q10
Acetyl l-carnitine
Alpha lipoic acid
N-acetyl cysteine
Whey protein, for amino acids
Silymarin, milk thistle

Many of the symptoms of Lyme Disease are caused by deficits of vitamins and minerals.
You need to replace these.

Stephen Buhner has a good protocol for Lyme and Co's. His website: http://buhnerhealinglyme.com.

Also, look into the "Beyond Balance" website. Good herbs for Lyme. The ND will give you a saliva test and then recommend the correct herbals for you.

Many LLMD use these products. Mine does.

But if you can't afford an LLMD, I've heard many people improve by working with the ND, and it is not as expensive.

Also, many people improve or clear the infections using Buhner's herbs, as well.

Do you think you might be having some withdrawal issues along with Lyme recurring? Just a thought.
