Just wanted to share the little happy dance I did today.
Last year, on this date, I took my son, 12, who has lyme, to a park a ways from our house.
He used his walker to come out of the car to the playground to pose for some family pictures. Then he had to retreat to the car get wrapped up in blankets, with a special drink and his ipod because he felt so bad.
We stayed about 1 hour to allow my other much younger son a chance to get away from the house and play, things which were sadly missing from our days of caring for a sick child.
Today we returned to this park (by coincidence) with my 12 years old's school class. He went for a 2km hike and kayaked for almost two hours. Played tag with his friends and I had to force him to the car after 6 hours.
Felt SO great to see him so much better.
Thought I'd share the good news!
Many healing thoughts to you all.
