I've been bitten again after a nice, long remission and forgot what it's like to feel this icky:(. Back then I only had one little one and we got by, but now I have three and it is a huge challenge when I feel well.
My husband is wonderful support, but he works long hours far from home and I don't have too much local support.
What helps you pull together the energy and strength to get through the day with littles?
I try to stay away from coffee and drink green tea instead, but sometimes it seems nothing but a strong cup of coffee will get me through.

Hi Jen-So sorry you got bit again. The good thing is you achieved remission before. That is great! How long were you sick for?
How old are your kids? I sympathize with you. It is so hard to muster up the energy. I live in constant mom guilt but have been really trying hard not to lately. I try to focus on what I can do with them.
Have you starting treatment yet?
Hang in there!! Di

My son has to go to daycare. It's not ideal, we can't afford it, but it's necessary so that he can have a normal-ish childhood while I heal.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this infection. Just know that you are not alone.

Lots of coffee for me and tv for the kids. Far from ideal, but what are you going to do?
I also asked friends/good aquaintances to help sometimes (ride home from an activity, etc).
I'm in a much better place now, and I'm trying to pay back/pay it forward where I can.

Thanks for the tips and support. I feel the "mommy guilt" all the time. They are happy though and don't seem to notice much is amiss. I try to focus on them most of the time. It helps me to keep my mind off of the Lyme. They are elementary, preschool, and toddler age, so a handful.
I have been making sure to be diligent about detox baths after they go to bed and it makes a world of difference in how I feel the next day. I have more energy.
Yesterday was a down day for me, but I managed to turn it into a pajama/board game/movie/video game day and they were none the wiser.
