He passed this morning. I have a very small amount of info and i cant really share it. It is possible his family will see this if you want to reply. Im not sure if this should be in medical and i need to know how to get his name put on the list of those who died from lyme. I was shocked when i heard and now i am just so sad.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I know gonzo was having a lot of neuro symptoms, and went to rehad in September.

OH NO!

Poor Gonzo!

I am devastated! He had an LLMD appt Nov 10 and was hoping to make it to the appt. as he was having a heck of a battle with babesia.

If anyone know's his last name will you please PM me, as I would like to send flowers to his service.

Completely devastating.

I'm sorry. I've been crying on and off since I read this post this morning.

Gonzo was such a sunny, positive guy on here and always made everyone feel welcome and lighthearted.

I just read his posts from July onwards and it makes me really sad.

Well Gonzo, I'm hoping God has a delicious table full of the yummiest food and drink for you to welcome you into heaven. You can eat and drink whatever you want there, and I hope you get the warm and friendly welcome you always bestowed upon us.

And that roadtrip we were talking about, well now that your hands are back to working great-you can drive. [Smile]

Prayers for all so saddened by the loss of gonzo.

Until we meet again in a place with no more pain, tears, sickness where we will get rest. [group hug]

Spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like Heavens stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away the tears
For I’m spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But earthly music cant compare
With the Christmas choir up here

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For its beyond description
To hear the angels sing

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
For I’m spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year

I can’t tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place
Can you imagine Christmas
With our savior, face to face

May God uplift your spirit
As I tell him of your love
Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above

So let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirits sing
For I’m spending Christmas in Heaven
And I’m walking with the king.

--------------------
2 Corinthians 12:9-11

9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me.

Well said, Wayne.

I can guarantee heaven got a bit more sunny when Gonzo arrived.

He sure made things more sunny for us folks on LN.

Isn't it amazing how someones sunny, kind personality shows in their words to others, even through a computer monitor?

I never met him in person, but his words made a difference to me.

I still cry today.

I didn't know him the way most of you did, but I was struck by his warmth and openness too--and the way he was so comforting to others despite being in a bad way himself.

Is that a pic of Gonzo?

An idea - if anyone here knows an address to send condolence cards to his family and we could pm with you about it, that's something we Lymenetters could do.

Hi,

My name is Heidi, and I'm posting about my dad Dan-- aka GONZO.

My dad started posting on lymenet in 2013, soon after being diagnosed with ALS. My dad was doing research into possible misdiagnosis, which lead him to the similarities between Lyme & ALS. My dad was diagnosed with a strain of Lyme (after being diagnosed with ALS) & with your help was referred to a Lyme literate doctor in our state. He received IV and oral therapies, which unfortunately did not help.

What did help though, was the awesome people whom my dad considered friends on lymenet.

My dad sadly passed away which I saw was posted on the forum on December 1st, 2013 surrounded by his family.

My reason for this post, is to thank all of those who took the time to chat with my dad, give him words of encouragement, share jokes, and give advice. I have really been thinking a lot about my dad the past few days, I try to block out most of his sickness from my memory, but I couldn't get the Lyme forum out of my head recently.

So from the bottom of my family and my heart-- THANK YOU, lymenet for helping my dad.

RIP Gonzo 12/1/13 ❤❤
