For those of you who got the health analysis from 23andme prior to the shut down, did you find it helpful?
Was Genetic Genie like it?
I wanted to get the 23andme info specifically to analyze my health (especially related to Lyme and methylation).
Just wondering it's worth going through with it since they are now offering me a refund.
Thanks.

I would like to know what others think about this too.
If the raw material is too complicated without their interpretation, and Genetic Genie doesn't give as much info, is it still worth getting the raw data and worrying about interpreting later?

Absolutely worth it! I ran my raw data through: -genetic genie, MTHFRsupport.com, and Promethease through SNPedia. Those reports were priceless.
I would get the info while you still can. The results matched up with the lab tests I previously had for MTHFR and alpha-1 anti trypsin, as well as detox profiles and much, much more info.

Just curious - I had the test done, but didn't yet download the raw data to genetic genie for interpretation.
Now the download site at 23andme isn't letting me type in my password, so I can't download any data. I've sent a query to the site about this.
Has anyone else experienced this happening with your data, that you're unable to download it?

I had some trouble downloading my data. I spoke with someone in customer service about this and was walked through it.
But this was last summer. I know they are having lots of trouble these days. I hope you have some luck with your query to the site.

This whole situation just reeks of corruption.
Very upsetting. I only had the test done on myself and my son. I was going to run it on my husband and daughter in the future,as my budget allows. Now, I can't.
quote: Next week, Genetic Genie will be making changes to the claims on the website significantly change the text on the Methylation Analysis. Unfortunately, this means that any info that could be considered a form medical guidance will be removed indefinitely. Genetic Genie will still be able to accept raw data from new 23andMe customers.
