Hello,

I just finished 15 months of treatment for Borrelia, Bartonella and Babesia. My Borrelia is European - I have lymphocytic meningoradiculitis or neuroborreliosis. European Lyme is more 'CNS and skin' than American Lyme.

I recently had a return (during Bartonella treatment) of a mosquito-like rash on my upper back - very itchy. Some of the spots are very small and will crust over even if I don't scratch them. Others are mosquito bite size. All are very itchy.

I have been to dermatologists and allergists for these hives or rash or whatever it is. They were clueless. Since I saw these doctors I've been diagnosed with the neuroborreliosis.

I do believe this rash is somehow connected to the Lyme or coinfections. European Lyme can affect the skin but the descriptions and pics don't match me.

Any thoughts as to what I might have? Something caused this rash to reappear after years of not having it. Wish I could figure this out. Appreciate any help with this mystery.

Thanks in advance,
Chance

Could it be candida/yeast?? OR possibly eczema?

I continue to have something similar across my back..it gets red and itchy. Showed it to my doc and she thought it was a type of dermatitis ..offered to give me some cream for it but told her I'll stick w/putting aloe on it. Only thing that soothes it.

Annoying and gross, but not dangerous she told me.

However, I'm not sure if it's the same thing you have?

I thought mine was caused by a new shampoo I used as it showed up right after...but I stopped that and it continues.

Just another thing on my list to go 'hmmmmm about. I swear, nothing phases me anymore. I almost expect "what's next?" to occur.

Good luck on finding out ......if you get a solution, please let us know?

healthywealthywise, you made me laugh, I always feel the same way...(I swear, nothing phases me anymore. I almost expect "what's next?")

By the way, I've had the same problem (middle back) for 8 months or so...very itchy & dry. This is new after all these years.

Candida can trigger eczema.
