Lp reports that the blizzard winds are picking up and it is supposed to be very cold there tonight. Sending prayers her way.
Slept in a bit and made my big dinner my breakfast--LOl.
Rode the exercise bike and then got on the rowing machine. It almost threw me off when the rubber wheels broke and got stuck in the tracks. I think it is nearing the end of its long life.
Now watching Illini basketball (getting creamed by Wisconsin).
Tutu--looks like you are in for some heavy wet snow.
Blessings to all this week.

Well, supposedly it will be fairly dry snow though the moisture is coming from the south. They said it would be blowing around. We'll see!
Right now they are saying 5-7 inches .. but they expect bands with double digits. They don't seem to know where those bands will be.
I'm thrilled to see what my new back yard will look like with snow! All we've had is less than an inch all year.
It won't begin until about 7 pm. tonight.
I think kayak is OK... just COLD!

Had a bad dream last night. Reminded me to not ask for help as it makes things worse.
But, then again, I have had people help me who have made things better.
Can not see screen on desk top so typing with eyes closed.
It helps me to think via the keyboard so trrying to sort things out.
Took 2 excedrin at 6 am. Eyes open at 5 am Cat running back and forth on bed this am. Found an opportunity to pick her up and put her outside when I got up.
Not doing well enough to go to door and have her look out and then run back in and then a few minutes later have her want out again and maybe go out or maybe run back in.
So she is out this am.
Brain is not clear. Tried to ut expried food in trash this am but struggling to much so kstopped.
Stressing over the trip to the Lyme Doc tomorrow. Need to get groceries. Need to pack things in case I have to stay over night due to health.
It is only an hour and a half trip so should be able to go down and back.
Lady from the senior center siad she would take me. But, they said they are taking the van and I would need to lay down in the seat in the very back of the van with the middle seats folded down.
I told them I needed to recline in the passenger seat as I get car sick so hoping tha works out.
Not all vans have a seat you can recline in the passenger seat.
I find vans to be the most uncomfortable and bad for the sound sensitivity..even with ear plugs and ear protection muffs the road noise is bad.
I learned it is better with just the ear plugs and tha for some reason the ear protection muffs maek the road noise worse.
So concerned about the choics of vehicle. At first they said they would be taking a regular car.
Thankful for the ride but need a vehicle I can travel in and get there without making health too sick to get there.
Bad feeling about this.
So what now. I guess next step is to get up and get dressed and see if I can get some groceries fo r trip and for home.
Then PT to see abut getting a new power chair.
Then fill out more of the doctor's forms when able and see if I can find the LYME TAP application I started to fill out
And see about packing for trip.
I did OK in the van tha twas provided to drive me down the hill to see the audiologist. I was able to just drive my large power chair on it and lay in it. But, that was years ago when heatlh was better.
This was not a van from the senior center but one used to transport people to doctors by the insurance.
Since this is an out of pocket doc I dont' think insurance will provide transportation. I also do not not if medicare provides transportation and the advanatage plan I have.
I will look into it when I need to I know last year I looked into it when I just had medicare and I would nee dto ocme up with my percentage which was too costly
Also hoping that this is money well spent and the doc is able to help me within the resources I have.
Primary care doc said she would work with the Lyme Doc.
It was a choice to get small power chair fixed or see lyme specialist with the funds i have.
I choose to see the lyme specialist.

Able to take a shower last night. So much easeier when I was able to take a bath at the hotel vs the shower here at the apartment.
I go days without being able to get clean here at the apartment.
The hotel was easy peasy. I could take a bath every night if I wanted to for the most part.

Good morning! I can feel your stress over here, kam. Hope things will work out for that trip.
We have snow.. not sure how much ..maybe 5-6 inches and more to come. Maybe I can step outside to measure the front later. Can't measure the back which is the north side.
It's pretty, but not as pretty as our old apartment...However, I'm not going back!!
We may not be able to get out for days. We'll see. I just saw the snowplow go up our hill so there is hope. I don't think I have enough safe food for me, but we have food.

OK able to get dressed and get to PT place across the street in large power chair.
A bit confused. Hope I do not get a large co pay as the clerk said. They acted as if they did not know i had Phoenix Health CAre plan as my advantage plan with medicare.
Even though I went home last time to get the cards they needed to make copies of and make the appt.
Not even sure why I saw the PT guy for the power chair. I would think the power chair business would be the best people to evaluate which power chair would work best for me.
Maybe it is just part of the process. PT clerk said she didn't think they were the right place and then talked with Jared, the PT guy.
he said yes he would do measurements for a chair.
But, no measurements were taken today.
Good news is I survived the 30 min eval. Which was your usual in the insurance box eval.
OK What now. Resting.
Recovering.
Hoping I do not have a large co pay and the appt benefits me more than it does the PT place.
Not even sure phx advantage covers power chairs not able to read manual on it nor call them.
Not sure what next step is.
Ah yes. EAt and take meds.

Have a great day everyone!

I have the day off work today, so I slept in a teeny bit. I went for a 30 minute walk outside.
Enough snow has melted that I can walk on the sidewalks in the neighborhood again, but I froze my fingers even though I wore mittens. Did 30 minutes, though.
I may be one of the few places in the nation that is not getting snow or ice right now. But we go back into the deep freeze soon.
Off to the library and I will spend the afternoon reading. That's what days off are for.

You're making progress, kam... We'll all pray for you tonight and tomorrow... You'll make it!!
randi.. 35 is too cold for walking!
All is fine here.. everything we were supposed to do today was canceled. . . as well as a few things tomorrow.
Our Talent Night was supposed to be tonight at church. When it snows in the Ozarks, things just shut down. Too hilly!!
The sun came out in the afternoon. Still not sure how much snow we have .. no more than 6 inches, I don't think.
Someone cleared the snow on our front walk. I have no idea who did it because our next door neighbor is in Florida. The other neighbor may have done it .. but it seems to be the one living down at the end and I don't even know who that is!
Funnier yet: I don't know how much snow was there. Shouldn't have been much since that area is protected. NICE, just the same!
Now to clear the way to the car!
Kayak.. which made me think again about the guy who cleared your roof. He was an absolute angel! I hope you have his contact info!
Have a great evening, everyone!
Hiker .. glad you had a great day at the library!
Where's Lisa?

hi all, today WARM at 19degrees!!! too cold to do much, so stayin ginside pretty much.it's bee in the negative numbers and single digits here pretty much for several days.
had a bad weekend. cleaned all day sat and ran myself ragged.
just been in a dark place lately. not feeling too great. lots of too much thinking and all that. depressing.
I love the snow though. love to look out and enjoy it. lots of birds this year.
wind other night kept us up all night. 50+ MPH. with every gust the dog freaked out. felt and sounded like the siding was coming off the house.
so nice to have a cleaned up house.

OK able to kind of fill in food menu for past 3 days. Did not get enough to eat again.
Frustrated because I sent caregiver to get pre made salads for me to last a wwek. She came back with 4 which will last 2 days.
It also took her an hour and half or more. ONce again she had excues as to why it took her so long.
But, it is on her own time unless she wants to argue the point which i do not think she will.
She has done this in the past..went to get groceries and not show up for 2 or 3 hours.
Still un decided on what to do..know i need to ask for another caregiver but concerned other one will be worse.
I feel ok wiht this one being in the house and being around here. But, her work is being effccted because she manages a 40 unit trailer park, works full time plus at a circle k at night and then works 35 hours a week as a caregiver.
What now.
Also able to find the lyme tap paper work and my SS proof of income. Need to make copy of SS papers.
Have bag packed with water for rosie and i and the ear protection muffs.
woke at 4:30 am and got up a couple times in the middle of the night last night.
wondering when to take the excedrin..trying to hold out on it in order to take it before heading down the hill.
also wondering about taking the claritin. it has helped me be able to be on my feet longer when i go on the hikes with the dog park friend...twice now
wondering if it would help me get to the dcotr's.
high anxiety today.
Wishing I had made the appointment for first thing in the am so the traffic would not effect me.
I need open, quiet roads
CAt keeps jumping around on the bed..do not like cat this am...which shows me health is low when patients is low
Need to check bank balance to see what is left in checking as I am not sure how much this visit is going to cost.
I know what the office visit fee is.
maybe i should have some bedtime tea too to help calm me down...i can't recall if that helpe din the past or not.
taking the excedrin might help with pressure in brain

sent email to director telling her that a friend rented a van for me even after I told her the priority was a comforterable car that had no road noise and where i could sit in the passenger seat and put my feet up.
And how the van was too much for my health to handle and how i vomitted and had the runs when I tried to lay donw in the back and how it was like going over rail road tracks.
I did not tell her how we had to stop and get a hotel and wait over night for my health to improve before we could get on the road again.
I did tell her I successfully made the trip in my pathfinder in the passenger seat twice.
but that at sunrise when there was no traffic. Traffic is too much for me too. And heat...but we should be OK this trip heat wise
Althugh I hear it is 80 degrees in the valley.

OK all ready to go with the exception of needing to check bank acct balance and something else which i cna not recall right now
i have all my things in the power chair seat by the front door.
not taking power chair as it will not fit
8:16 now they are coming in 47 min
i plan to lay here and try and recover
going against normal thinking again...lady wanted me to take a something and lay down in the very back seat of the van even though i had said what i needed was no fragance, to be able to recline in passenger seat and be able to wear my ear plugs and ear protection muffs
they wanted me to take something and lay down in back seat of van..i have tried this...twice...ended up having to get a hotel both times as too sick to travel
peope think normal with this disease...m have a new normal
anothe rlady mentioned how if i hike a little twice a week how i could build up my hiking..again she is thinking normal...been there tried that too
typing with yeyes closed.
recalled what the ohter thing was...to print out directions again if i am up to it..but i think they have all ready done this so ok if i am not up to it
took several tries before health was up to being able to copy my ss ltr but got er done finally

Hubby got the car out and made a trip to church. We have Ash Wednesday services tomorrow. We are supposed to get more snow tonight.
Hope I can get the mail sometime soon and a few more groceries one day this week. More snow and junk this weekend.
It is currently 32 and sunny.
Winter finally arrived here. You can have it back, kayak!
I guess your workers are all resting. They must be exhausted.

Teacher's meetings all day--some productive and some not. P.E. showed off their new high tech heart monitors, so I got to exercise a bit at work.
Came home and argued with the cell phone people about my bill. They corrected it. Got my dander up enough to go ride the exercise bike and get the stress out.
Lisa--I need to get the piano tuned, too. Actually I would like to sell it as I don't play much anymore.

Let's see what i remember...
left at 9 am
got back home at 3 pm
health wise did well
lady who drove me was someone i felt comfortable with and had her come in with me to talk with doc
doc had a lot of lyme books on her bookshelves...hoping to cehck those out again when i go back
i recall blood being drawn for igenex....was told medicare would pay for igenex testing
confusion agaon on having Phoenix healht plan as a advantage plan with medicare
told co pay would be higher on one thing ...same thing pt told me...cheaper with just straight medicare....
doe snot make ssnese
but things will get sorted out in time
came home with a very large container of charcoal..looks like enough for a year or three years supply...did not think well on my feet or sitting down in regards to decisions
have not read what i am to do with the charcoal..i recall the doctor telling me but not able to take it in
doc wanted more testing for different things i can not reacll...kind of went thru the list and said no i will neeed to start putting money away for that test and yes i have the funds to do that test
i did not check my checking acct before i went so not sure if i have any funds left in account after today.
i am to go back next week with a urine sample and something about poop..i have a poop test kit with me and something about more blood work and fasting
instructions were written down for me
like doctor...my main concern was my lack of funds and if she would work with what i had...looks like she is willing to do this
she said she would like me to go on abx but will build up my system first
also something about nutritonal IV
Hmm...recall more thatn I thought.
I have a binder to read that was given to me when I arrived
thought b vitamins were the reason brain is not working so well...
But, wants to see blood test results foirst
Purcahsed LDN while I was there...can not recall what that is supposed to help with but know it was on my list of things to try...have yet to read lable on it
able to listen to drive rafter the apppointment..she had intersting things to say...but started not feeling well just from teh shor tconversation so had to put ear plugs in and earp protection muffs and take excedrin to get home
wondering if she had talked to me while we were sitting still if it would have worked better vs driving down a busy street...brain struggles so with over stimulus
she signed the lyme tap app but did not think we would need it as medicare covered the testing she wanted to do with igenex
i know there is more
but i would call the trip a success
suprised health held out as long as it did
not sure what i was saying most of the time but no one seemed confused so i guess it made sense
she mentioned two different b vitamins ...kind of sounded like i would be taking them orally
i think she said i could order them on line and the office would be emailing me the info
i did see i had an email i think from her office..but waiting to read it after i recover
AZ weather is really nice this time of the year and the highway and roads we traveled were in a really nice area...great scenary from pines to saguara to other cactus
doc said she would do her homework and then let me know what she thought we should start with..not so much in those words but that is how i processed it
fungus was mentioned, mold, lyme, can not recall what she said about the dry cough i get..maybe that she thought it was a fungus thing...
lady from senior center said they would drive me next week to appointment too..either her or the director..not sure why this is happening but thankful senior center is doing this now...do not know how long it will last as i heard director is retiring in april
Lady who was driving me gave me the months to avoid going to the valley but I can not recall now...due to heat
Hoping most visits can be face time or skype..but next visit is more blood work and fasting from midnight on
one lady in the office who was in charge of going over things with me was not possible for me to understand...
but she said jsut atke in the visula and read the directions when able
hope this makes sense
the lady who drove me talked about an organization that will put your medical records on a doohicky...so doc just need sto plug it into the computer or whoever wants to see them
price was very reasonable too
if interested i will ask Pam wh the company is that is doing this
i have been taking b vitamins so i will be interested in which ones she suggests
i also recall her suggesting a certain brand of probiotics and why she felt i needed to take them ..what it would help with
it was a brand i took when i first started taking abx
i take the b dots from vitacost currently the ones that melt under your tongue
mycotoxins were mentioned but i thin it was one of the tests i would nee dto put money away in order to take
she asked if i had been tested for bartonella..i told her that the lyme doc just went by sytmpoms as i di dnto have the funds for testing back then..not sure if taht is something that will be covered with igenex and medicare now
A person did something with me with a large mouse to do some kind of testing...i was told the results but as far as taking in waht was said...my brain is not recalling
the sme person also did some other kidn of testing where i laid on the bed and they plugged wires to me...can't recall what the results were of thst either
assuming i have the apper work on these things
i know i was given paper work while in the doc's office and th eclerks did a 3 hole punch and put it in my binder i had been given so assuming that is the resutls of the testing for that
I am guessing we got there at 10:30 am and left at 1:30 pm...they were busy with me the whole time and got me in right away
She asked about being sensetive to cleanign products etc ...maybe this is where the probiotics came in to help...not really sure
i take kefir now and good belly drink probiotics
she asked me about the ringing in the ears but do not think i asked about what to do to help with that..just recall telling her i can't go to sleep at night unless i stream a netflix movie or watch tv because the ringing is to loud
I pretty much had what i needed with me with the exception of a water bowl for rosie..i thought the container i had goten from the vet would work but something was broke in it
the office provided rosie water

Checked the drops I have for the B supplement and it is for B12. I do not think the doctor mentioned that one. It seemed it was B1 and one other B vitamin she mentioned.

went to bed around midnight and checked on son - he had earbuds in his ears listening to something and asleep! with a pretend phone plugged into wall on chargeer to try and fool me! ha! I wsa 16 once I tiold him! I took phone away..... gotta make some rules.
still organizing papers today. I hope I can get this all done. I am so tired of it.
doing taxes really showed me where I make (little) money and where I do not. so for that I am grateful. I need to make some changes.
Hiker, I wish I had an exercise bike!

Im trying to keep doing stuff. More snow tonight and sunday. I paid some bills, lined up guy to come clear out entrances and windows and propane tank before tonight
When prescription is ready i will venture out to get it, mail income tax and make some copies for my reorganizing paperwork project. Probably pick up a few groceries too
Hopefully moving around will change my mood and i will get excited about some indoor projects
