Survivor of Lyme Disease and over a year of intensive ongoing IV treatment later, 11 months of TYGACIL, and a horror story just like everyone else with Lyme Disease. Let's end this now. No more! Pick your shoes, pick your mailing service, pick your friends, but you can't pick your disease, so pick Standing Up With Us.

AND SHARE THIS LIKE LYME DISEASE WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
Tumblr, Wordpress, Blogspot, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and any other social media outlet you are a member of, please share!

If mailing is too expensive, mail a letter with a drawing of a pair of shoes. Media will be at the event and we must create a spectacle.

GO TEAM LYME! Let's do this.

I will be doing this. I have the shoes and the box and the letters ready to go.

Just one question. Why must this be registered? It is more expensive and it slows down the mail. It has to be logged in at every step of the way. And I am wondering if two day delivery and registration can work together. Can someone who knows the project please explain the registation part. Otherwise, I will just do the two day delivery and skip the registration part.

Poppy,

You ask "Why must this be registered?"

My guess is for security reasons. And/or they have to sign as having received so you know they got there. Some government offices may not accept packages otherwise.

The ideal situation is for you to have a receipt for documentation/proof of mailing. Priority Flat Rate Mail for $12.65 includes free tracking and confirmation of delivery. In the end, the mailing service and method of mailing you choose is up to you. These are simply suggestions.

I was thinking they could refuse the packages.

Hence the receipt for documentation/proof of mailing and delivery or refusal. It will not look good for them if they refuse, showing that they do not want to see, hear, or acknowledge Lyme Disease and the millions affected and dying from the illness. Media will be there. If they do not accept the packages, what message does that convey of their willingness to accept patients and the need for an accurate test, diagnosis, effective and humane treatment, and a cure? Refusing is akin to a blind eye and the other cheek.

I see. And think that the flat rate goes with a certain size box, so people need to get that box at the P.O.

Can people who don't do facebook still send these pictures? I am guessing not.
