It's FLAG DAY!! What did you do to honor our flag or country today? Did you wave your little 8 inch flag out the window or do you have a big flag out front?
No flag here (no place to put it) .. but we did say the pledge at church. That was something different for us and will probably only occur if Flag Day falls on a Sunday.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Church was good--great Celtic blessing at the end--wish I had a copy of it.
Walked 25 minutes and biked 5. Pretty hot and humid again here.
Have a super week!

Kinda freakin out here right now. An hour ago stopped cleaning to play with etta on the daybed. She expects this before bed. I feltsomething in my hair and managed to pull a very actuve deer tick out. I assumed it was a flea that etta picked up at my friends on friday...had it squeezed between thumb and forefinger and put into glass of soapy water like i dowith fleas...and saw it was a tick. Wasnt attached or engorged.
Etta had been chewing at herself in different places the last few hours ... she often gets a few fleas when at daycare or groomer or my friends...something about her yard
Etta was not on grass all day...i wasnt either
I cleaned up after guys, did laundry, painted bath floor, then we went to beach but where there was a wall. No sand or marsh or grass
i dont have a clue where that tick came from...i feel like i dont want etta outside at all...and i dont know how i will take care of my lawn or flowers
we've been here 3 years this month...never saw a tick except once on the mulch and i treated it and never saw any only see them attached to birds that are on patio
i combed my hair with a flea comb but nothing else there i wish i could take a shower
i need to go to auto parts store and get that mirror on a long stick so i can see behind my neck and my back...sometimes i think skin tags are ticks if i cant see them
so is this crazy anxiety or survivalist anxiety
the cleaning the last two days was enough to count as exercise
i have to do alot more before 8 when guys come back...but i need some rest too

I never got back to sleep. Kept cleaning and prepping for worker. Only boss today. Things are goingvwell and re calmer
I had to dig a hole for him...well i didnt have to but it saved me $ and i could so i did. Easy digging. Used more energy dragging ettas crate over there anf finding top for it cuz it was raining and getting tools and wc set up. But it was easy. And important. And exercise...yay!
I have been moving from.room to room todsy trying to find a place etta wont bark at worker every time he moves. I havent really found the right spot. But he usually leaves at 4 so i cn probably hunker down and get some sleep today. He doesnt seem to be making much of a mess today.
And its raining...im so heat intolerant i am happier in rain
Hiker...are you biking outside now?
I totally missed "flag day"
KAM i thought of you today. I did errand and on the way back followed a small truck with motorized wc in bed. There was a ramp and a cover for truckbed and the cover closed in a way that protected the chair even tho it didnt really close all the way
I wish things would fall into place for you so your life will be easier

Typing with eyese closed.
Used brain this am for a little bit. Pretty out of it righ tnow so resting.
Glad I have help this am.
Able to get Rosie to dog park.
Rosie woke me up 3 times last night...pretty out of it due to meds but got her out 3 times via power chiar of course.
Saw stars.
Saw Elk but it was as if they were in a fog. They were in the filed across the street. Would not have noticed them if Rosie had not seen them first. Pretty cool wha tyou can see when you are a little awke and mostly out of it.
Learned cable guy is coming on Friday so glad that mystery is solved. Guess I wrote the wrong date on calendar or was given the wrong date..I think given the wrong date.
AS I do recall finding the card and wrtign the date down from the card but I still could be wroing.
Need to find card again for doctor and write that date down for next month.
Have lots of things that pop in my brain to do but very limited on what I can do...at least brain is on line enough to think of these things.
So what now??
Rest. Just lay here and veg.
Let dust settle in brain.

I rode my bike outside for the first time this year. OMG. I could only do half the time that I do on the exercise bike and I thought my legs and heart were gong to give out.
And I live where it is flat. I think much energy goes into making sure I have balance and avoid potholes etc.
but the bottom line is I am still out of shape cardio and muscle wise. Feel the burn!

i had to fast last night and go get blood taken this morning 3 tubes and urine cuz of kidney sx
then i ate my little almond butter sandwich and got the next 11 tubes drawn at lab corp
that is 26 in a few days...the results are supposed to clarify my toxin protocol
i pushed to get them done cuz i got a notice that since i am turning 66 i am no longer considered disabled i will get ssi but not longer ssdi
im concerned about how this will affect my insurance so wanted to get thses tests in before my birthday
two workers here all day etta was alone with them for awhile but she was ok in her comfy crate
since i cam home i got ice for cooler and meds and gas and cleaned car and have begun organizing things for trip
i did that in between naps i had to break down and take ibu and gaba and skelaxin...i have a lot to do...and need to get good sleep tonight before drive sometimes its 8 hrs...sometimes 13...hopefully no traffic...weather looks good
im gonna take a pic of tub soon...send to my kids...the whole bath isnt finished but very close

lp--How exciting to have your bathroom almost finished.
Can't believe you had that much blood drawn. My veins are terrible, so I hate to get blood drawn and last summer they got about half a tube before the vein blew out.
Is your MD apt tomorrow or Th. I would guess Th, since you have to drive so far. Ugh. Will pray for safe swift travel and MD wisdom.
Kam--97 degrees--UGH!
Tutu--Wow! 42 years. I am impressed.
Would like to go for a walk, but my knee is sore from my bike ride.
Cleaned one kitchen drawer and sprayed some clothes and shoes with tick repellant.
So, since my outside working shoes are soaked with tick repellant, guess I can forgo weeding today--and it is sunny and nice.
Lazy day, but everyone needs one of those now and then.

Yesterday I mowed our yard, walked 30 minutes on the treadmill, 2 loads of laundry and 45 minutes of beginners yoga.
Today I walked 30 minutes, 30 minutes of light weights and gave my male dog a bath. Oh and marinaded steak and made salsa for dinner tonight😊
I've enjoyed reading all that everyone does each week. I hope to buy a bike in the near future to add that in to my exercise routine.

Wild and crazy day~~!! My exercise today was going to Dr's apptms. Whew!
Had check-up at the cardiologist. Most everything is fine .. except trouble with heart which I think is caused by too high a dose of thyroid med. .. will see that Dr tomorrow.
Saw eye dr for severely dry, itching and burning eyes. I have Sjogren's and it's not going well I guess. May get punctal plugs in the next 4-6 wks. Right now we're trying new drops but they felt good for awhile and now back to burning.
My cataracts have suddenly progressed very rapidly...so may need surgery within the next 12 months.. maybe sooner. It's weird because I can see "fine" right now. He can see that they are covering about 2/3 of my lens though.
Then I went to my hubby's show (it was great.. he's doing so well!) .. and then we went out to dinner. It was nice and I even treated myself to some ice cream and hubby had choc cake.
It's raining here and we will get even more rain the rest of the week from the tropical storm that is in Texas right now. Relatives down there are doing fine so far. My brother has to drive to that area tomorrow so I'm praying all will be OK there.
I hope to go to exercise tomorrow.. I missed Monday because of my neck .. and it's still not good. I hope I can do it though.
kam.. Stay cool, OK?? Don't get overheated!
hiker .. I guess a real bike is harder .. dang!
kayak.. The new tub looks great.. thanks for the pic! I hope you can eat some red meat soon so you don't get anemic from all the blood disappearing from you!! yikes!
AK... Thanks... and I hope your tummy continues to do OK on the prilosec. I wish I had never started taking it .. but I know I need a PPI right now.

Thanks!! Not well yet but on the road for sure and only found my exercise freedom since May. January 2015 and before I was much like many of you, a load of laundry was a good day with vacuuming the downstairs.
Every time I tried to work in exercise I would end up on my backside for a week with a migraine and my pain would really be bad.
I started using mHBOT 1 February and have slowly been able to add in exercise. I started with a goal of 10,000 steps a day M-F in May and half way through the month I added light yoga. That was going so well this month I added light weight training to the mix.
Not well enough to work yet but I'm thinking by next spring I should be ready. I've found that after years of inactivity my body really suffers from endurance and stamina. Baby steps building this body back where it came from the last 20 years.
So far we've done more motorcycle riding this year then I was able to do all of last year. I hope to go on an overnight trip in August, we'll see how I'm doing in the heat.
I turned 46 this year and never thought I'd run or ride a bike again but I have done both in the last month so keep the faith my exercising friends😊🏃🏼🚴🏻

Peimomma--it is my dream to run again although I would settle for fast walking without my trekking poles. I am glad you are on your way to wellness.
Today I did about 40 minutes of exercise--a little on the exercise bike and the rest walking.
I am glad I had my trekking poles, because I had to really "hoof it" to beat the rain. I think this is the summer of rain for the Midwest.
Am feeling very toxic from the violet wand use on Monday. I think I should not have upped the power from low to medium--LOL.
I did go to the new Hy-Vee Grocery store. They have a lot of organic and gluten free products. The store is so huge it is overwhelming.
Pretty expensive, too, and very crowded. You all can laugh when I tell you the only things I
bought were a bottle of champagne on sale for Mom's b-day in August and some dairy free coconut milk ice cream bars for a treat.
Time to read a little and then Bible study at church tonight.

We have a Hy-Vee in the nearby city .. I've only been there once. Ate at the salad bar, which is really nice.
Bought some salmon from Alaska .. somebody brought it especially for Hy-Vee. It was good and not that expensive for wild salmon.
Bought a few other things .. that was about 2 yrs ago... when it was new.
Lots of rain here too... The tropical storm isn't here yet but we're getting plenty of rain out in front of it. It will probably affect you in a few days, hiker. More to come!!
Went to exercise.. the machines were crowded today .. only got 12 min in so I walked about 22 laps.

Peimomma--how did you get your screen name? It is an interesting one. How long have you been ill with Lyme etc.?

Hiker-Me and my nephew are supposed to bike on Dauphin Island this summer, probably just one day. Hope it'll all come back to me. Haven't ridden in about 7-8 years. I hope it doesn't kill me!
Kayak-I had to have that done too when I first went to my LLMD. Didn't realize they could take that much blood out at one time! Drink some fluids please and have fun on your trip.
Pei-Welcome to the exercise thread! Loved reading what you can do today.
TuTu-If it's not one thing, it's another where our health is concerned. Glad you were able to go out and have a nice dinner with your hubs.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hiker the name comes from Shar Pei for my dogs😊. I've always loved the breed and the only one I've ever owned.
I got sick while deployed in the first Gulf War, fatigue, weight loss, diarrhea, joint pain.... came back stateside after 6 months and they diagnosed me with fibromyalgia in 1991. Year after year I lost the ability to do biking, hiking, running and then in 2006 after surgery all hell broke loose in my body.
I struggled to stay employed but just couldn't do it and haven't worked in over 2 years. I was finally diagnosed in 2010 with Lyme disease. Finally we knew what was causing all the havoc in my body and figured some antibiotics would do the trick.....HA!!! It only got worse.
Exercise to report for yesterday was 40 minutes walking and 50 minutes of yoga🚶🏻 I had to make three trips out of the house so not much done at home. Hoping to squeeze vacuuming in today.

Hi All! It has been quite awhile since I have been in the group. I wanted to let you know that I am great ... living my life. I quit my job of 18 years to stay at home with my youngest grandsons during the day ... both 3 years old now.
I am working in the evening doing holistic work. I am a Reiki Master, and work with clients who have lyme disease.
In my mind, I have put lyme disease in my past. My immune system seems to be able to handle any symptoms that rarely crop up. I am beyond grateful for my health.
I think of you all often. I was giving many hours in my day to be of help to those who have lyme. But in order to move lyme disease from the present time into my past, I had to disconnect from the many hours I was devoting to it ... even hours I was giving to help others.
I help now when I am asked. I am sending you all love, health and happiness.

LouLou--glad you are healthy! That is wonderful! Glad you came back to say hello and remind us that there is hope.
I understand why you moved away from Lyme to put it in your past. I take breaks from Lymenet and even talking about Lyme--LOL.
Believe it or not, Lou, an energy healer has made the biggest difference for me. She is a Brennan healer and I believe she killed the Lyme and co-infections that the antibiotics and photon therapy did not get.
Peimomma--Thank you for your service to our country! Keep on exercising. You are doing a lot!!
I walked about 25 minutes today, but did stop to talk to an elderly couple at the Residential Community in my neighborhood.
Turns out the man is on the board there and I have applied for a spot when two bedroom with no basement comes open. Glad I stopped to admire their flowers!
Extremely humid and rain is coming again. I hired my teen to mow this week and hopefully next week. I have done it three times in a row, but it is too much in the heat and humidity.
90 minutes is a long to be mowing and with the rain we are getting you'd better get out and get the yard done all at once or you lose the opportunity.
Odd jobs around the house for the rest of the day.

Thursday-No exercise again. Loving my haircut. It's the same old style but I love it. Inverted bob that I can wear straight or curly. I used to always wear it curly until I straightened it one day and got so many compliments.
Am feeling better lately. My joints don't hurt as much and the swelling is down. Still taking diurectic and so glad I'm off the Otezla.
TuTu-I wonder sometimes if I have thyroid issues. My pituitary gland isn't working right and I have a hard time losing weight. It's always something!
Kayak-$140 a night and no soap! Sheesh! Do you get a discount? Hope you have a wonderful relaxing time.
Pei-Way to go on the walking and yoga. I used to walk my dog back in the day.
Lou-Hey! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing with us! It's so good to hear that you're doing great!
Hiker-Way to go on the 25! So, are you deciding to downsize and move into a condo/apt? I'm thinking the same thing but we have about 4 more years to go on our mortgage.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

AK--I don't know if I am going to downsize or not. The residential community is mainly elderly. I don't mind that so much, but I am only 52.
Also, right now there is not a unit open for me to move into. I cannot see myself moving unless it is the summer. Too busy during the school year.
Sounds selfish, but right now I have a 4 bedroom house and I seem to use most of the space. I wish the residential community had 3 bedrooms instead of two--one for me, one for guests, and one for my office and exercise bike.
Probably cheaper for me to stay where I am at and pay someone to do the chores I cannot handle.
I do have a piano store rep coming to look at my upright piano next week to see if they want to buy it. I would love to sell it.
or donate it to a school for a tax write off. Schools don't want to pay the moving costs, though, and I am not willing to pay that, either.
Picked up my new glasses today. I will try them a few days to see if they need adjusting. Glasses are expensive and my insurance does not cover them. They look spiffy, though.
SO, AK with your haircut and my new glasses, where are we going out tonight?

Kayak .. I do hope you got some soap!!? I understand the thoracic pain .. Mine has been really bad too .. along with my shoulder. Thanks for the tip on the connection!!
AK .. You might want to find a Dr who will really analyze your thyroid situation. Mine was too low even though it's showing "low normal."
We adjusted the meds and I hope to do well on this current plan.
I was up half the night with neck/head pain. Was going to stay home all day, but our pastor called to see if I was going to my husband's show today. I told him I could if he would pick me up. I had taken a muscle relaxant and didn't really want to push things.
So he did and I just got back home. The three of us went out for Mexican food after the show. Hubby did a really great job today.
I was a little nervous about leaving my car about 30 ft from a rushing creek (long story) .. and when we got back that creek was really swollen and running high. It could flood tonight but my car is safe now. (I had driven down to the entrance of our subdivision for him to pick me up.)
PS.. I just got a flash flood warning alert on my phone.
We will be OK though.. no worries!
hiker .. hope you don't get "too much" rain tonight!
Kam.. Hope your day got better after your busy morning!

Lp--hope you find a new hotel. The violet wand uses electricity in terms of the fact you have to plug it in to get it to work. Same with rife and photon therapy.
Glad you had fun with your granddaughter.
Tutu--Heavy rain is going to stay south of here--for a change. Yay! Mexican food sounds "muy bien."

I woke up a little while ago. Ive been packing up. Now eating before drive. The rain stopped and it looks like it will be clear all the way home. I remember there are lots of accidents here when it rains. Too much traffic makes oil on roads that turns slick when it rains. Thats what they told me anyway. I prefer to drive in daylight but less traffic is good too
My neck has been getting worsr for weeks. I cried when chiro cracked it...more cuz i was scared than hurt. But it did hurt after for a few hours and i could hardly move it. Now its 100% better after sleeping

TGIF!!! Yay!!! Well, still no exercise but have a busy Saturday morning planned filled with chores. My nephew Josh and his dog Ada are coming to spend the night tomorrow. We're going to see Jurassic World in 3D! I can't wait!
Hiker-Yep, 52 is too young to be looking at a retirement community. I'm trying to get off my 4 acres as soon as possible. Too much upkeep for me.
Wish I would have known you got new glasses. You could have joined me at the museum last night! They had jazz guitar and flute (awesome) playing. I had 2 glasses of pinot noir, chicken salad and a peach melba.
Kayak-Was that the doc you were talking about that treats mold exposure? How is your treatment going?
Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your granddaughter! I have a step granddaughter who's a little over a year old. They're like little angels at that age.
TuTu-I agree 100% about my endocrine issues. My Mom has thyroid issues and my sister did too when she was alive.
I hope you get to feeling better real soon!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

AK--The residential community did not used to be a retirement community. A lot of people my age lived there, but now it seems like it is all elderly people.
LP-Welchol should help with cholesterol, right? I think my dad took it and said it tasted like sawdust.
My exercise today was weeding and more weeding. The cleaning lady was kind enough to do a tick check on me before she left.
I got to see my buddy from NC that used to live with me. We had such a great time this morning and I am sad that she lives so far away now. She lived with me for 5 years.
I was set up with a guy but could not go on the date that night, so she took my place. She is married to him. God works in humorous ways.

Walked this morning. Am very sore in the hamstrings from crouching to weed yesterday.
Other than laundry and a few house chores today will be a lazy day.
Have a great weekend.
