Kathleen Dickson has a YouTube channel. She has been a Lyme activist for many years.

This lady says that Lyme is a permanent, incurable brain infection and that band 41 is always Lyme.

I don't know what she says - my understanding of band 41 is that it is the reaction of the flagellin motility unit of the spirochete, and as such, could actually indicate any number of spirochetal infections, not just Lyme. I think there's like 8 or 9 different spirochetal infections, of which syphilis is one.

So basically, with us, it does mean our Lyme disease bacteria is showing up.

Re permanent, I don't know about that. There are people who've been on IV rocephin for close to a year who say they don't have the infection anymore. There are others who swear by their oxygen treatment. Many swear by their stem cell injection results.

So, who's really to say, in that we don't have a gold standard test to show people don't have it, but I've seen a lot of testimony saying people are no longer bothered by symptoms.

This is also what I understood about band 41. I've also read that it simply reflects flagellin and that lots of bacteria have flagellin.

There are only two people I've read online who say that band 41 is Lyme.
