This women "Harriet Hall" is the writer of the "ScienceBasedMedicine.org".

This website is a total disgrace to science. I'm furious.

It's anti-Lyme, anti-Morgellons, anti-MCS, ...everything's delusional, mental illness, according to this woman, in the name of "science", and the writing style is the most defamatory and nasty I've ever seen, truly disgusting.

I'm wondering why I haven't seen any attack on this totally disgusting woman named "Harriet Hall "? [Mad]

Thanks for bringing to our attention. Do you have a link for that?

Moving to General Support.

Not just her, there are other editors & writers at this site. One is a leading IDSA ID doctor in Portland, Oregon [which explains a lot about Oregon's hostile anti-lyme atmosphere].

This site is not just anti-lyme, it's against anything other than strict pharmaceutical approach in accord with the various governmental health agencies that rule doctors' protocols.

It's a good idea for everyone to check out the list of editors / contributor here to see if any are in their state. That could be very helpful detail as one navigates their medical choices - as much about who to avoid as who to learn more about.

Thanks for bringing to our attention. We need to know this exists - even if just to be prepared if someone we know reads this and believes all they write to be true. Family get-togethers can be torpedoed by sites like these.

Sort of Quack Watch on steroids.

https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/

Home Page

Scroll down to see right hand menu with dozens of Categories they write about / against. Acupuncture, naturopathy, nutrition, vaccines . . . .

Caution: spend only as much time here as to acquaint oneself with their essence. Take a quick look at some of the comments, caustic as they are, the common denominator is that most bully those who are into "natural" approaches to nutrition and health care.

In light of that above group being so anti-everything and spinning so much out of perspective . . .

For those new to all this who may be wandering around the web - of course, for lyme, top two information sites are

www.ilads.org

ILADS

www.lymedisease.org

Lyme Disease.org

- I will say it can be a confusing place and there are "natural" sites that are not the best in quality. There are some integrative health sites that are absolutely excellent, though.

Many LLMDs are well aware of good methods as being key to liver / kidney support during treatment.

Beyond that, how to find the kinds of doctors who know about the wide range of choices outside of typical medical centers:

For those considering complementary support methods / or other avenues:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/13964

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Holistic Medical Doctor;

Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc. . . .
