I cannot believe I have not visited Lymenet for about 4 years !

I felt a little guilty not coming here to see if I could offer help or support but I also needed to take a break from everything lyme if any of you can relate to what I mean by that ?!

It was consuming so much of my life that I felt I needed some perspective & balance & not focus on this darn disease all the time .

I think it helped me though I missed all the regulars here & want to say thank you to everyone who supported me & gave advice & generally made my journey so much easier !

I will try to check in now @ least once a week to keep up with things here.

I am so much better now than I was when first here , thankfully !

I am not completely out of the woods but I can function much better & do not feel so disabled by the lyme anymore but rather have learned to live with it & maintain .

I do still have flares that usually all follow a time period where I overdo things physically and / or have been under a lot of stress emotionally .

I initially had a year and 1/2 of oral ABX then could not stand this anymore & sought out alternative approaches .

I still am in the process of balancing & healing & most likely will be for the rest of my life but for me , the turning point was addressing all the imbalances in my body & strengthening my immune system as naturally as possible .

I have a new set of " things " going on which I will post about under the medical questions forum but for now I want to say thanks & hello again & hope everyone here is progressing positively ! Never lose hope !
