Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

I cannot believe this, I've lost count of the times since we moved in here that the water goes off with no warning... None.

Well it happened again about 15 minutes ago, silly us to think they had finally resolved these matters. Between Nov.2012 and Nov. 2013,it was off over thirty some times, maybe more.

2014, still had a number of water outages, and 2015 had one time in May. Well now Here we go again...In Dec. 2016...

I know I am venting a lot lately, sorry 'bout that. it is all getting to much. And the regular City water company wont help. We tried.

Years, back the owners here, had a fight w/ city water, and so now, it has to be fixed by private contract.

And the neighbor across the way got notification about this today, it may be out for several hours.

We rent, and the management, has not kept us informed. Our Landlord is usually out of state.
And does not get along with the management.

Not sure if anyone here really does..., well at least so far Electricity and heat are okay. I've learned not to ask what next.

Jus' Silverwolfi here OwoooWoooooo!

Jus' a note, we are probably closing in on 40 times, the water has gone out in 4 years.

I lost track somewhere after 35 or so times, of water issues. I hope it wont be off for days. it has been for three days and nights in the past.

We are quiet, and keep to ourselves, most of the neighbors are okay. Right next door, is unsound mentally [for real].

Other than that, at least on our end of the park most folks are okay people. it would be a nice area,if this was resolved.

OMG, why?! I'm so sorry! I hope it gets turned back on soon! Do you have any bottled water or backup water?

We had this happen to us when we were renting. Our landlord was nice enough to set us up in a hotel for the night. He also charged us $150 less the following month for rent.

Hi <<<<< grakay >>>>>,

It just came back on,now if they don't tamper with it again we'll be fine. I usually have extra water around, We have some bottled water, but need to replace our water jugs.

The big jugs have finally started to leak, time to replace. We use filtered water for drinking and cooking. The tap water here is not good to drink.

Landlord did succeed in getting our bill to 13 dollars a month. But no one should have to put up with this.

Twice a year when they purge the fire plugs, okay, that's necessary. Neighbor across from us directly doesn't get notified either.

Jus' me updating here, my laptop didn't want to post...

<<<<< randibear >>>>>,

Hi there, waters back on, we are looking, but it may be awhile finances are tight. And Dad's estate is barely started [cannot use estate monies for personal stuff at this time].

One has to be super careful about apartments here. The Big apartments, up the road a ways, are supposed to be reasonable,

but they have a serious gang problem [shootings and police all over]. That's Vegas for ya... but there are some really special things here too.So some of it is actually good.

Around here, you have to pay $750 or up to avoid the druggies, etc.

I'm surprised you can get a good apartment in TX at that price. The cost of living is lower here in MO.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo, And randibear >>>>>,

We are told by others we know, that our rent price at around $700 a month, is actually good for the area. But let me say,the double wide mobile home we rent is not the greatest.

No utilities are included, so when we are done with that it's around $1000 a month.

Most folks, mobile homes,,appts.etc.think it is excellent to get a dwelling of some sort for $1000 and up a month. That's beyond our means, when Utilities are added in.

Food prices are not terrible, and there is a good selection of foods, even for special diets[ Not necessarily in a restaurant tho'.].

There are some Vitamin/Supplement/health food stores here and there. Which helps too, you can check for sales and such.

The main problem is even in nicer areas, there can be crime issues,so many people are in gated communities to help avoid serious crimes.

Part of the folks in here pay over $1000 a month for rent. Some own their own places. Our is not perfect, but we feel fortunate even with the problems.

Heat is mostly gas, not that spendy, in Idaho the heat was really spendy. But the electric gets spendy here from about April thru Nov.so we do what we can to cut costs.

We are looking for another option, but must bide our time. We pray a lot because the electric system is not the greatest.

There is an option, when we get some monies, of getting an older mobile home for free. And fixing it up. You have to pay, 3 months rent, in advance. And then around 530 a month for land rent.

The problem is you pay for the fix up, and other than to make sure the roof isn't leaking, and the water isn't leaking. You take them as is.

We know some folk, who redo regular homes, would have to see if they'd work on a Mobile home. And arrange payment plan with them. we cannot do the work ourselves anymore...so I don't know.

The reason we came was the warmth and the nearness of the VA hospital for TrekC'. Most of the time it is warm, but it does freeze sometimes, and here that feels way cold. Tonight is to be the first freeze of the winter.

The cold weather has come early, shouldn't be 'til New years or later. But that is where we are at.

We've learned now, to question, a'good price' for the area. But we are making do...Thank God we still have a roof over our heads!

Jus' Silverwolfi ,

I believe there are a few places for around 900 a month for renting, but not sure of the quality.

We are still checking on stuff, promises of repairs and upkeep that were made have not been kept.

Both the back bathroom and the front bath [a shower] leak, and the'Fix is to slow the leak down. Landlord thinks they are just trailers, and renters wreck stuff, so whey go to to much trouble.
