I've been taking it for about five days now and haven't felt a single difference in my symptoms. I've responded in some way ( usually in a horrible way) to every single antibiotic I've taken for a year: clinda does absolutely nothing.
That's fine; I took it for dental prophylaxis, but I'm curious about what I might NOT have because of no response to clinda.
Anybody?

Yeah, I was wondering if it did anything for babs without the quinine. Either the answer is no or I don't have babs, or active babs at the moment.

Perhaps it depends on what Lyme strain we have. I was bitten by a known tick in Monterey Cty, Ca in 1981 - ie, early on in the history of this illness.
I am allergic to a lot of antibiotics, including looking for one that would work with other infections. So clindamycin worked for me and was left over in my drawer.
When I found out I had Lyme, I put myself on the leftover antibiotic and it worked!! At the end of a week's time, no more fibromyalgia pain. I was flabbergasted at this ease of taking down pain I'd lived with for over 2 decades!
I took it for 5 years and then it didn't work anymore. It's a bacteriostatic drug, not a bacteriocidal one.
Now I take turmeric capsules, which work very well to reduce inflammational pain in joints and muscles.
