Posted this in general because I am generally fed-up.
Lyme and TBI's are the whack-a-moles of medicine. Whack 1 symptom and another bossy symptom rears its head for attention.
Next month marks 1 year unable to work or do anything else for that matter.
4 years and 23 doctors later, I m more confused than when I started ?
I had CT scan of abdomen and pelvis with contrast and also an abdomen ultrasound exam.
CT scan says gallbladder and bile ducts appear normal. Ultrasound says gallbladder demonstrates small polyps.
CT scan says scattered, small cystic lesions are noted in liver, the largest measuring 2.4 cms. Ultrasound says liver appears normal except for fully marinated lesion measuring 3 cms.
CT impression: Uterine fibroids. I HAD MY UTERUS REMOVED. I HAVE NO UTERUS .
Ultrasound says "Patient has history of pain in right side for many months," WRONG AGAIN GUYS! Left lower front and left lower back!
Who the hell read these tests? And who s are they ?
Urologist said urine cultures are all normal and that I m gonna live. I have a copy of my urine cultures which state:
Urine diagnosis Squamous epithelial cells, urothelial cells, inflammatory cells, and occasional red blood cells are noted.
Are you kidding me . .
The bartender in me wants to get drunk with Heminway.. I want a lost weekend, guzzle drinks and shots. A full-bore bender reserved only for the brave. I will name my perpetually-pickled adventure "The Lyme bar crawl."
And the undertaker won't even have to embalm me.

Good grief. Glad you check your records and results carefully. If not, the docs may be doing a frontal lobotomy based on erroneous info.

Ain't that the truth, hiker53..
I take great solace in the belief that what ever suffering I have been through, and all the suffering others before me have gone through, will prevent future Lyme sufferers from the same fate and will benefit in better treatment.
Currently, it's a hellish nightmare and a crime against humanity !
