it has been a long time since I posted. Probably, just because I ignored/neglected my illness for a long time.
Short update ...been sick since 2006..treatment started 2008. did abx for many years but never got beyond 80% better.
in the meantime I had no choice but to continue working. I had a wall street job which sounds great but post housing crisis work force was reduced and anyone worth their salt was working 60 hours a week. I did that for close to 18 months before finally quitting.
got the house paid for kids through college and now since August have been focusing on my health. however as you can imagine this had a devastating effect on my health. the stress eating did not help either.
with the craziness of my life removed I finally committed to a paleo diet in August(so that's like 15-16 weeks), fully committed to my drs protocol..which is biocidin and oliverex among other things..no doubt I have significant fungal issue but ive noticed some improvements
so what has happened since starting this? the major aches and pains muscle stiffness has improved. not gone but better. on the flip side my neuro symptoms, brain fog and head pressure have been off the charts.
very easy to get down as well as make poor food choices when feeling like a zombie.
I absolutely knew things would get tougher but I guess I forgot what happens when you kick the hornets nest.
am I on the right track? why wont the brain fog respond at all? any thought on what I should expect here? and yes I know folks will say wow you went in head first. but after ignoring this for so long I needed to get tough. ive taken a few small breaks on the killing agents...and clearly I need to detox more.
anyhow I value anyone's insight who has been through this.
Peace, Dave

Hi, Dave!! All I can say is to be very careful not to eat a diet high in salicylates and oxalates. That happened to me when I tried to cut out sugar and carbs.
It crashed my health. What I don't know is whether I was already sensitive to salicylates and just didn't know it.
It's good to eat healthy, just be careful!

Just curious - my brain fog disappeared when I was found to be low thyroid and went on Armour thyroid. Have you had your thyroid levels checked?
If you're saying your neuro symptoms have been off the charts, I'd say you need to treat better - ie treatment that's going to reduce the spirochetal load.
I'm actually doing something rather simple - I take capsules of turmeric everyday and it's taking inflammation down beautifully. I just get it in bulk at the health food store and dip 00-size empty capsules into it.
We're all different and each of us has to find out what works for us.

Thanks everyone for the input. I cross checked the list of foods that are high in oxalates and salicylates and only had two items(coffee and green apples). Not saying that its not an issue but probability is low. Now if broccoli and cauliflower were on the list I would worry.
I've had some thyroid issues in the past which for me present as constipation which is currently not an issue.
I do tend to think my spirchetal load was high but who knows. I also know my fungal load was high. those two things colliding together make unwinding this mess and figuring out what is what very difficult.
I'm going to keep at it for another three months as my DR has had a few patients go into remission on Biocidin and Oliverex
the biggest challenge with this protocol is that there is very little to be found on the internet other than a few folks saying it hit things pretty hard for them.
Only positive ...its nice to be skinny. I'm 54 and haven't been at my current weight in 20 years.
